During class , loud tremous were heard, as Aries and Thadeus exchange spells, fighting each other with no restraint.
Thadeus kept using his fire bullets spell, constantly attacking and keeping the pressure on Aries.
Aries managed to evade all the spells directed at him. ' He's impulsive and bold, he keeps casting spells without thinking. I bet he doesn't have a strategy planned' Aries thought , preparing his next move. 'I should use the smoke as cover and retaliate with a surprise counter.'
As Thadeus waited for the smoke to clear, a lightning spear shot out of the haze, hurling towards him. Although he was caught off guard, he managed to cast a shield barrier. But it wasn't enough to protect him completely.
' oh ,he got me good,' Thadeus said , standing up after taking the hit. ' I wasn't expecting that one.so he's a strategist huh?
Aries approached Thadeus in a slow steady pace,a cold gaze in his eyes. ' That one's for punching me. tell me ,why do you want to be a hero? What's your reason for enrolling here? not that it makes any difference to me, of course '
Thadeus's face lit up with determination.
' isn't it obvious !? I want to protect those who can't protect themselves. And I believe that one person can make a big difference in other people's lives.'
Aries raised an eyebrow.
' One person can make the difference? such utter nonsense '
With a flick of his wrist, ten white magic circles appear above them, and shot down a ray of light, summoning ten devine knights behind him.
' You need more than that," Aries said , a sinister grin spreading across his face .'Conjuaration level 2 devine knights '
Thadeus focused , siphoning all the heat from the environment and concentrating it in his palm.Just as both were about to strike, a powerful magic energy intervened.
' Boys ,this behaviour is unacceptable ,' Mr. Cipher said , walking towards them. 'this is no way future heroes should behave.it would be in your best interest to start getting along with each other.'
Thadeus's eyes widened.' So this is the magic energy of an elf? how can one person have this much power?'
Aries's expression turned cold.' Those who are loved by magic, I despise Elves '
The next day...
It was a Cloudy day, but not a cold one, as the sun lingers somewhere behind the clouds, waiting for it's time to shine but today was sadly not that day
The schools front entrance was filled with students and two teachers. Thadeus and Aries stood apart , tension palpable between them.
Everybody could feel their tension , as if they were a rope in a tug of war.
' You two barbarians better not cause a commotion again,'Luthour said .' some of us are trying to learn here! '
' Shut up Luthour, don't drag Aries into this, if you want someone to blame, you should blame that idiot over there ' Alexa said , narrowing her eyes as she looked at Thadeus
' Alexa it wasn't my fault, please understand ' Thadeus defended himself, dropping on his knees with tears streaming down his face almost like a waterfall, meanwhile Aries remained expressionless. Mr Cipher intervened , explaining their mission.
' Everybody settle down.it's time for us to leave. We're going to the forest of WONDER.This is essential for your growth and grades . you'll be required to capture Wise owls and bring them back as proof of your victory.i will group you all in groups of three, you will be required to work together and if you encounter something other than a Wise owl, please run... ' he finished his explanation..
' Greetings Children, My name is Liam Goldenberg, I am also a teacher at this school. With that being said please follow me, I shall help us all get to our destination faster. 'Liam Goldenberg snapped his fingers ,and a portal appeared . The students followed Him and Mr Cipher into the forest of Wonder.
As they emerged ,the students gasped at the towering trees and different kinds of sounds coming from the trees.
' now Luthour, Aries and Thadeus. You'll be the first group and please don't start complaining as you'll do as you were told, as for Alexa, Tamika and Eve you'll also form a group as well ' said Mr Cypher
Mr Cypher managed to group all the students into groups of three.much to their dismay Thadeus and Aries were grouped together , both of them protested against this but we're scolded by Mr Cypher .
The first group made their way into the forest as they were running, competing with each other, not realizing they were deep in the forest and the sound from above was feint, after a while they came to a stop following the lead of Thadeus, his prowess gave him the lead.
' Uhm Guys we should stop ' Thadeus said ,concern etched on his face .' I think we're lost '
' It's your fault! I regret being teamed up with you, all of you' Luthour scolded Thadeus, and Aries shot back
' As I recall, no one forced you to run Luthour'
The three spent a while arguing, blaming each other for getting lost. Until they started to hear big footsteps. The ground shook,and heavy breathing grew louder with each step taken .
They turned to face the direction of the sound and saw it: a massive monster, it's breathing was very heavy and it's size towered over them. They quickly realized that this isn't something they have ever seen before
