In this life, a man has many fantasies. Some are well within reach, while others remain forever out of grasp. One man might want to be tall; another wants to be famous; another just wants to be rich. Then there is a very small, very specific category of men who wonder what it would actually feel like to be a woman.
Hiroshi was not one of them.
Maybe that was why, when he woke up a week ago as a woman, he couldn't help but feel like the floor had been pulled out from under him.
The body he now possessed was soft— unnervingly soft. It felt like a sponge, or something made of silk, and he had spent the first hour just lying there wondering how a human being could even function like this without falling apart.
And then, of course, there was the shock of the missing parts. To have your companion through life and death suddenly disappear and leave nothing behind but empty space was a difficult thing to just move past. It wasn't just strange. It was borderline depressing.
