It was exactly 12:07 a.m. when Aarav's phone rang.
The screen showed Unknown Number. He almost ignored it—but something made his hand freeze. When he answered, all he heard was heavy breathing and a single sentence:
"You shouldn't have come back."
The call disconnected. Aarav stared at the dark ceiling of his childhood room, his heart racing. He had returned to his hometown after ten years… and clearly, the town remembered him.
