"Welcome!"
"Sir, what would you like to buy?"
The moment Boshita stepped into the shop, the kangaroo shopkeeper immediately put down the cloth in his hands.
"As long as you have money, I can get anything you want!" A warm smile spread across his face as he hurried over.
"Take this Flame Staff, for example. It's already charged with magic power. Flip the switch, and it releases blazing fire, and burning through steel plates is no problem."
"And this Reaper Submachine Gun. High fire rate and powerful, a bestseller in the black market."
"This Energy Cannon can blow down a wall with one shot."
Flame Grenades, Ice Grenades, Pumpkin Grenades...
The shopkeeper introduced each weapon to Boshita one by one with enthusiasm. After finishing the conventional weapons outside, the kangaroo owner winked mysteriously.
"Boss, come with me. I'll show you something good!"
He led him into the back room. The inner room was dimly lit, and the kangaroo opened a heavy metal case.
"And here's my store's treasure, the Vulcan Machine Gun."
As he spoke, he opened the case and revealed a massive weapon. A savage exterior with six rotating barrels. Just by looking, you could feel its destructive power. What else could it be, but a Gatling gun?
Seeing all the powerful weapons, Boshita's eyes shone full with desire. If he had these, wouldn't he be able to dominate Liberty City completely?
Unfortunately, he did not have much money right now. He could only feast his eyes on them.
"Boss, you look like a wealthy man, so what'll you buy?"
Boshita pulled back his gaze and felt a bit awkward after hearing that. If this were reality, he would definitely spend big time, but right now, he truly had no cash.
"I'm just looking. Next time."
The kangaroo owner's face instantly darkened. After wasting so much talk, it turned out he was broke. His expression immediately became cold as he took a drag of his cigarette.
"Take care. No need to come back."
Seeing the instant attitude change, Boshita curled his lips in distaste. Looks like he'd have to figure out another way to make money.
When he walked outside, his phone suddenly rang. But not his own phone, it was the bear chef's phone.
"Augusto, how's that batch of goods doin'? Diaz is rushing us, and it must be delivered tonight!"
The caller talked on his own at first.
Boshita immediately tried to extract information from him.
But upon hearing his voice, the caller instantly realized the person answering was not the bear. He cursed loudly and hung up at once.
Still, a key clue had appeared. The goods handled by the bear chef belonged to Diaz.
Rowan's POV--------
After two days of hitting the upper limit, on the third day, the stock price of Sound Tide Company began to fall. He was so frightened that he quickly sold all his shares and secured his profits. Counting everything, he now had eighty thousand in cash.
He finally acquired the small taxi company he'd been eyeing.
"Hello, boss!"
Looking at the eight employees standing before him, Rowan suddenly felt his back straighten with pride.
He waved his hand grandly and shouted cheerfully, "Let's get to work!"
Now that he had workers earning money for him, Rowan had finally taken his first step toward financial freedom.
But he still did not sit around idly. Relying only on this small business was still too slow for getting into the big leagues.
So he waved his hand again and continued buying cars and hiring people.
Liberty City might lack other things, but it truly had all kinds of vehicles. And they were quite cheap too.
He poured all his funds into expanding his business, and the money in his hands was drained instantly.
But with so many workers earning him money, he finally achieved that, which all life should strive for; Passive income, Baby!!!!!.
Afterward, time passed quickly.
During this period, with stable assets, Rowan lived quite comfortably. He completely said goodbye to the hard days of waking up early and staying up late, driving a taxi.
Whenever free, he went to dance halls and nightclubs to have fun or visited all kinds of restaurants in Liberty City that he had never seen before. He ate and drank lavishly to make up for the pleasures he couldn't enjoy before.
The originally fit body of his game character gradually gained weight due to lack of exercise and overeating. His cheeks became rounder and his belly slightly bulged. He increasingly resembled his real-world appearance, which amused him to no end.
He also occasionally watched the stock market, but without that previous lucky encounter, he was basically a mole in broad daylight. After losing a little money several times, he no longer dared to mess around with the stock market.
"Boss, boss, this is bad!"
"What happened?"
Rowan put down his milk tea and frowned. The comfortable life he recently had made him much lazier than he cared to admit.
"Boss, recently, many of our VIP customers were taken by Pegasus Taxi Company! They not only stole our customers, they even beat up our employees!"
Rowan immediately exploded in anger.
He never expected that just after expanding his business, someone would come to bully him. Did they think he was an easy target, just because he didn't cause a ruckus?
As his taxi company kept growing, it had already aroused hostility among competitors. This Pegasus Taxi Company clearly wanted to ruin him completely.
"They wanna play dirty? I'll show them how dirty I can be...."
Rowan was truly furious now.
Since arriving in Liberty City, he had struggled through everything. Delivering goods and driving taxis, what hardship hadn't he faced? He endured them all, yet now someone dared to step on his head as well. How could he tolerate that?
No shot!
So he stopped slacking off.
'You want to steal my customers? I'll fight you to the end.'
For the next few days, he personally went into action and picked up his old job again.
Ahead, a waiting passenger stood by the roadside. But a taxi with the Pegasus company logo rushed ahead to cut him off.
Rowan revealed a vicious grin.
He shifted gear and slammed the accelerator.
"Get out of my way!"
He violently rammed into the other taxi.
The Pegasus taxi was rammed, flying off, before crashing into the roadside greenery.
Rowan left arrogantly with the passenger, who looked absolutely terrified.
During the following days, Rowan used every dirty trick in the book.
Whenever he saw customers, he snatched them. If he saw a Pegasus taxi, he forced his way in and refused to let them stop. If someone clueless got in the way, one collision sent them to the hospital. If someone wanted to fight back, even better. He rushed in with a quick combo and beat them senseless.
With his base combat strength plus equipment bonuses, ordinary punks were no match for him.
In a short time, the effect was obvious, and company profits improved greatly. Looking at the recent financial report, Rowan burst into laughter again.
You dare compete with me? That's what you get, suckers!
The boss of Pegasus Taxi was probably cursing in rage right now, Rowan thought smugly.
Just as he felt things were turning for the better...
"Boss, big trouble!"
Rowan suddenly felt a headache coming on, and his good mood evaporated instantly.
