Synopsis
Having lived a life in the terrible world of modern Earth, Tre McDorne was tired of the horrible things humans do to each other. Why must humans be the worst kinds of monsters? At the end of his life, bleeding out as the city he lived in burned alive and people looted, raped and killed he thought, 'Why must humans become demons in their own hearts?' Upon letting go, he suddenly found himself awakening in a strange place, with various monsters bowing before him as he sat upon a throne. [Welcome, host, to the Forbidden System.]

Chapter 1 - Death of a City

"Ugh..." Tre spit out a glob of blood as he lay on the street, staring at the woman he loved getting r*ped in an alleyway as buildings burned around him. He had been stabbed and shot multiple times, trying to protect her and get them both out of the city.

She was quiet now... He knew that they had killed her. His own mind was fading fast, he knew the end was coming soon.

'Why? Why must humans be the worst evil? Demons, hah. They had it right, kill the worthless, keep those that are useful.'

As the thought entered his mind his vision faded and darkness overtook him as his lifeblood drained from his wounds.

'Why can I still think? Where's the bliss of the end? Ugh, of course it would be like this...' He thought as visions of his life played in front of his eyes.

He saw everything, from his birth to good and loving parents. To the mistakes he made in his barely 35 years of life. The woman he thought would love him who turned out to be the worst kind of manipulator. The daughter that was stolen from him by that same worthless woman, 'What a bitch...' the thought was fleeting.

He saw his fall from being on top to the bottom of the bottle. The only solace he found after his life was stolen. The pain wasn't harsh, just statements of fact for what he went through, acknowledgement. Then he saw her, the woman he had been with when everything ended. The one who truly loved him and dealt with all of his trauma, holding on until the very end. 'I'm so sorry, Ally. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you and get us out. But now we don't have to deal with that anymore...'

As he thought, the memories ended and light flashed, bright and blinding for a moment. When it faded he 'stood' before beings of true power. 'So, gods are real.'

He saw them all, all of the gods of Earth. His eye was drawn to one, in particular. One that gave off much light, though that light was tainted with lies and hypocrisy.

'God of Abraham!' He yelled and screamed, 'God of Lies! You are the most evil, letting humans believe they were god. Giving love with conditions even as you lied that it was unconditional. What a fool!'

The Gods balked at his words. No mortal soul had ever dared berate any of the gods.

'One true god my ass. At least don't be a hypocrite.' Tre stared Him down. How dare He lie to his followers, not even decent enough to give his name. The worst liar, through and through. The other gods looked uncomfortable but he couldn't care less. He knew them all too. The Norse, Greek, Egyptian, Eastern and Hindu gods weren't hypocrites, at least. they knew their flaws.

'I don't want to be in this universe, if you are a god here then I would find a way to kill you!'

As he said that the gods all gasped and laughter roared from Tre's throat. The god he was addressing had a look of genuine fear in his eyes, something Tre would never have expected. 'Coward, just as I knew you were. High and mighty up on your throne. You narcissist, self important, piece of Nothing!' As he spoke, Tre finally noticed something. His words had an effect beyond just berating the fool god. He was unraveling it, somehow? He turned to the other gods who all cringed in fear. As the god was unraveling, all the lies he spoke unraveled. All that remained was a single spark of light, which soon blinked out.

Tre gasped in surprise, 'W-what just happened? There's no way I actually killed Him, right?' as he finished the thought, his soul was suddenly yanked from the space and darkness overtook him again.

_________

Tre came to again, the endless darkness was finally broken by another light. Before him stood a new being, this one didn't radiate power or divinity, though he knew it must also be a god. No, this being looked like a Demon from his Earth's lore. Tall, about 9 feet, if not more. Curved horns like those of a Dragon, massive wings that spread behind his back.

'Lucifer Morningstar. The most misunderstood, Devil... W-what am I doing here?'

The demon chuckled and sighed, "Looks like you found the truth, Mortal boy. You understood the gods' hypocrisy. My Father's hypocrisy, so he sent you to me, as he does with all of those who are not blinded by his lies."

Tre laughed, 'So hell, huh? Of course it would be. Very well, I don't really get a choice so take me.' As he resigned himself to his fate, something unexpected happened, Lucifer laughed.

"Oh no, my boy, I'm going to grant your wish. You know the monsters my father creates, and somehow you know the truth about me. So I'm going to give you a new life in a new univers-"

'Wait, you have that power? I know you're the 'Devil' but how? Your father would never let that happen.'

"You are right, Tre. But he didn't think of one thing, the fact that he can't stop his children from seeking their own ascension. So, I am going to make you a Demon. I will make you my Son, and I will put you in the world you dream of as the master of a Dungeon. My father made his power and love forbidden. His reach extends across the multiverse, no matter the world his influence is there."

'So I would become a Demon? That's rich, even though the real demon is him. I see, god of lies and all. He's the real evil, I get it.'

Lucifer smiled, "I knew you would. So," He snapped his fingers, "Let's make you a Demon and show him the error of his ways." As the sound of the snap faded everything went dark again. But this time, Tre felt that he wasn't going back, but toward something new...
