Chapter 21: Prisoners of Time and Shadow
Liva and her mother were busy with another plan; this time, they were going to kidnap Rina. Unfortunately, before the tears of joy could even finish, another storm blocked their way. Diari, trembling and crying, said, "This is our fate now; our destiny is dark. But the most important thing is to learn—you must not give up! No, never think about giving up on life. You fall, you get back up, and rest assured, you will be better than before. But it requires patience, strength, and time. You must be strong and never give up, just like Rina Khan. She is so strong; things have happened to her that are much bigger than her age. Well done, don't give up, just like dear Rina."
Rina's father felt proud of Diari and his daughter. He said, "My daughter, my son, you have a bright future ahead of you. If I die here, Diari, my daughter is a trust in your hands. In the short time I've known you, I have been very happy." Rina cried out and ran into her father's arms. "Father, don't talk like that! Look, be sure we will be like we were before. I will see you here and we will leave together." Her father replied, "My beautiful daughter, look, if it weren't for me, you wouldn't be in this trouble now. So, wipe away those precious tears, alright, my beautiful girl?"
Diari sat in a corner, not knowing what to do. Would they be saved from here or not? "No, we must be saved. It doesn't matter if I die; what matters is that Rina and her father are safe. Thank God, as long as they are safe. I promise, Rina, I will save both of you. I just need time. I would even give my own life, as long as you are okay, I want nothing else." Diari was so lost in his thoughts and weakness that he lost consciousness. Rina and her father ran to him. Rina cried, "Diari, please wake up! Diari, please, I said!" Her tears fell onto Diari's forehead. Her father said, "My daughter, calm down, take it easy. Everything will be alright now, okay?"
Suddenly, Diari regained consciousness and, with eyes full of tears, took Rina into his arms. Rina held Diari tightly, and they stayed in each other's embrace for a while, finding a moment of peace. Suddenly, the air changed into a burning cold. In a thick and dark mist, Rina, Diari, and her father could see nothing. Suddenly, Liva and her mother appeared like vampires. Their bodies glowed with a sharp red light, so bright it made their eyes ache. Liva's mother screamed in a terrifying voice, "Did you think the light of a sword would end us? Hahaha! Magic flows through our bodies like blood!"
Before they could move, Rina's father said, "I am here with you, and this too shall end; it will become a disgusting memory." Diari held Rina's hand tightly. Liva's mother aimed a black magic spell at Rina's neck. Rina let out a loud scream, her body grew weak, and she fell to the ground. But slowly, she raised her head, looked into Liva's mother's eyes, and said with a smile, "Hey, are you sure you can destroy us? We are very afraid. I am afraid of dying, it's very painful. Oh, really, you think you'll kill us? Look at me closely—rest assured, we will get out of here, and you will stay. Be sure of that. Put it into your filthy minds, you heartless people! What cowards you are to call yourselves human. Honestly, it's a sin to even use the word 'human' for you."
Liva, with incredible speed, grabbed Rina from behind. He pulled her hair and said, "Now you will see with your own eyes who is not human!" Liva's mother said, "Rina is our key!" In the blink of an eye, Liva and his mother vanished Rina into the mist. The muffled sound of Rina's screams came from afar: "Diari! Father! Don't worry, I will return! It just takes a little effort from you, and strength and effort from me!" But the mist swallowed everything.
The End of Chapter 21: A Killing Silence
After Rina disappeared into the mist, only the sound of Liva's receding laughter could be heard. Diari and Rina's father stood frozen in their places; the mist had drained their strength. They were stuck. Diari said in a muffled voice, "Rina will return; she is stronger than us..." But the mist choked even Diari's voice.
