Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 Lunar's Romance

Lunar sits quietly, listening to his college life with youngster's romance and troubles.

Lunar: Once you go Rome, you will have romance with parting pain.

Solar: Said who?

Lunar: Me.

Solar: Did you have ever been Rome?

Lunar: Of course. Delighted it was to enjoy my Rome holidays of liberty.

Solar: May I ask what brought you to Rome?

Lunar: Carriage.

Solar: When did you go to Rome?

Lunar: When the carriage headed eastward in the spring, I took the carriage to visit the Rome Emperor Charles 5th.

Solar: May I ask what's your schedule in Rome?

Lunar: Sure. It's no national secrets. I had a reception dinner at 21:00, as soon as the carriage rolled in Rome. Nothing I couldn't handle with at the reception dinner in Rome, because that kind of dinner I would attend everyday. If anyone offered gifts, I should concern if it's proper to accept; which I should accept, I should say "Thank you"; which I should not accept, I should say "No, thank you."

Solar: You were your highness. You had royal reputation to preserve. In your position, you must have a tight schedule the next day.

Lunar: It's a schedule too tight for me. I would rather die than do tomorrow's deadlines. At 5:00, I was required to get dressed, to do morning prayers, and to have a speech about the Ode to the God; at 9:00, I was required to go to school, and to have a speech about Youth and Progress; at 12:00, I was required to engage in the main dinner with Rome Emperor Charles 5th and nobles;

at 15:00, I was required to visit children at orphan house, and to give a speech about Children and Future; at 18:00, I was required to attend a meeting, and to have a speech about War and Peace; at 21:00, I was required to go to the church again, to do evening prayers, and to have another speech about the Ode to Jesus Christ.

Solar: Jesus Christ! I can't believe how can you stand that kind of life?

Lunar: I often wonder what kind of life I might live in, if I wasn't born in a royal family. Would I be a flower girl, who stands at the street, peddling flowers to the passers-by; would I be a teacher, who stands in front of children, teaching them what I was taught; would I be a doctor, who walks in and out hospital, bringing patents back healthy state.

Solar: You are the most beautiful teacher that I have ever met in my life.

Lunar: Thank you.

Solar: You said it was delighted. I don't understand, how could you enjoy your time, when you were required to work with this tight schedule?

Lunar: I sneaked out the residence after reception dinner.

Solar: How could you sneak out your residence without alarming the guards?

Lunar: I could escape from my residence, because of right timing, dark corners and sleeply guards. It's at midnight too dark to be noticed under velvet darkness; it's dark corners too secret to be caught; it's some sleeply guards too sleeply to notice anyone passing through after long day's journey.

Solar: It's midnight, when you sneaked out your residence. At least, you should find a place to rest. Where did you go?

Lunar: A quiet park where the less traveled by. It's faraway from my residence; it's secret from my people; it's quiet from the noise of dusty town.

Solar: At least for a pretty lady at night, it's not safe from bad guys.

Lunar: Were you worried of me? I learned self-defense skills from the strongest master in London, and practised kung fu everyday. My kung fu was strong enough to deel with most situations and keep me from threats.

Solar: Did you meet any bad guys?

Lunar: I didn't meet any bad guys. I met a good guy, a local folk, who invited me to visit his house out of sympathy. Given that I had no place to go, I said "Thank you".

Solar: What? Did you follow a stranger home?

Lunar: It was wonderful to meet with a nice guy, when my situation was awkward. May I ask you a question?

Solar: Sure.

Lunar: If you were a royalty of Tudor Dynasty in Rome with three days of liberty, what are you wanna do with three days of liberty?

Solar: The first day I would hang out on the most popular street, and taste local diets, until I couldn't eat one more mouth; the next day I would do morning mass at St. Peter Basilica, and pray for a romance; the last day I would get up early with a book, and waite for a romance at the sidewalk cafe.

Lunar: To eat, to pray and to love, it would be lovely.

Solar: What are you wanna do with three days of liberty?

Lunar: The first day I would go to Colosseum, and witness the bullfight between the bravest cowboy and the strongest cow; The next day I would go to St. Peter Basilica, not to pray, just to witness the art of the ceiling, designed by Michelangelo Buonarroti; the last day I would attend a fun party with singing and dancing.

Solar: To witness the bullfight of Colosseum, to witness the ceiling of St. Peter Basilica, to attend a fun party with singing and dancing, it must be delighted.

Lunar: It was delighted for all three days. It was always sad to say goodbye to a friend, who shared three good days with me.

Solar: Why wouldn't you take your time and enjoy some more holidays?

Lunar: I was the direct heiress to the throne of power. If I was discovered missing, the rumours about my missing might cause the anxiety of the public in my own country.

Solar: How's the ending?

Lunar: It was a happy-sad ending. I was required to get back to work, to say goodbye to a friend, and to come back my country. Before leaving I asked my maid to offer him some gold pieces, which could support him to open his bakery business.
