Chapter 1 - A Letter Under the Banyan Tree

Every evening, Aarav sat under the old banyan tree near the village pond. The tree had watched many seasons—rain, summer, and quiet winters. For Aarav, it was a place of peace. He came there with his notebook, writing small thoughts about life, dreams, and hope.

One evening, he noticed a girl sitting on the stone steps near the water. She was reading a book, her hair moving softly in the wind. Aarav had seen her before, but never this close. Her name was Meera. She had moved to the village a few months ago, and people said she loved books more than noise.

The next day, Aarav found a folded paper under the banyan tree. It was a short note:

"The tree feels calm. Thank you for choosing such a peaceful place."

Aarav smiled. He knew it was from Meera. That evening, he left a reply:

"Peace feels better when someone else understands it."

This became their quiet habit. Every day, they exchanged small letters—about favorite stories, childhood memories, and dreams for the future. They did not talk much at first, but their words spoke deeply.

One day, heavy rain fell suddenly. Aarav ran to the banyan tree, but Meera was already there, holding an umbrella. For the first time, they spoke face to face. Their voices were shy, but their smiles were honest.

"I like your letters," Meera said softly.

"I like your thoughts," Aarav replied.

From that day, they started walking together in the evenings. They talked about simple things—the sky, the pond, and the sound of birds returning home. There was no rush, no promises, only comfort.

Before Meera left the village for her studies, she placed one last letter under the tree:

"Some people come quietly and change everything. You are one of them."

Aarav stood under the banyan tree, holding the letter close. He knew love did not always need loud words. Sometimes, it lived in silence, letters, and shared moments.

And the banyan tree stood there, smiling in the wind, keeping their story safe.
