Hera and the others were all powerful individuals; even the weakest, Nami, had become much faster after obtaining the Rumble-Rumble Fruit. The group soon reached the place where the poneglyph was kept, and Hera released the golden bell from the City of Devouring Time, placing it directly in front of the poneglyph.
"This is a chime that has been silent for 400 years. Whether on Sky Island or on the sea, everyone has waited too long. Let us ring it together," Hera remarked with emotion. The excited Gan Fall, Wapol, Hera, and the others stood before the bell and struck it together.
The crisp tolling of the bell echoed across Sky Island. The sound of the golden bell reached all the way down to Cricket on Jaya. He held his two Shoujou brothers, his eyes already overflowing with tears: "Do you see, Ancestor? The sound of the golden bell is ringing once more. You weren't a liar; you were a great adventurer."
The people on Sky Island stopped what they were doing upon hearing the bell, looking toward the source of the sound. The Skypiean Shandian tribesmen living in Cloudgate Village were moved to tears, celebrating the ringing of the golden bell.
Among the crowd, a giant serpent was startled awake from its slumber. It soared into the sky, circling through the air as it charged toward them.
Hera blocked Kuina's hand as she reached for her blade and simultaneously pressed down on Wapol's Burn Bazooka. "This is the little snake that witnessed the friendship between Noland and your ancestors 400 years ago. It's just too excited from hearing the golden bell."
Just as Hera said, the giant serpent ignored Hera and the others. Tears seemed to flow from its massive head as it circled before the golden bell, unwilling to leave.
Although Eneru had been dealt with by Hera, the matters on Sky Island were not yet fully resolved. Hera wanted to turn Sky Island into her own territory; she had been coveting the various Dials on Sky Island for a long time. The first issue to resolve was the conflict between the Skypieans and the Shandians, but before that, there was one more thing.
Hera held out her hand toward Gan Fall: "Old man, do you have a image dial? I want to record the contents of the poneglyph."
Gan Fall nodded and took a image dial out of a bag. Hera recorded the stone tablet and then tossed the image dial into her shadow.
Under Ohm's guidance, Hera and the others found the remaining gold and the half-built Ark Maxim. Hera didn't dismantle the ark; instead, she stuffed the whole thing into the City of Devouring Time. "It's said Eneru used the Rumble-Rumble Fruit and the Ark Maxim to fly to the moon. I'll research it later and build one for my argo too."
With the Rumble-Rumble Fruit and the gold in hand, Hera now faced one final problem: the 400-year-old conflict between the Shandians and the Skypieans. How could she resolve it perfectly? Thinking of this, Hera's head began to ache.
However, the silver lining was that the former God, Gan Fall, was also seeking peaceful coexistence between the two sides. Although it had become a complete mess, there was at least an opportunity for peace talks.
While Wapol was somewhat reluctant about peace talks, the Shandians' combat power dropped significantly on Sky Island due to the lack of oxygen. Therefore, in Hera's view, the possibility of a peaceful settlement was still quite high.
Hera called Wapol and Gan Fall over: "You've seen the current situation. Eneru is dead, his subordinates have mostly surrendered, and the golden bell has rung. Now only the conflict between your two tribes remains. You are both leaders of your respective groups; tell me your thoughts."
While Wapol was still pondering, Gan Fall spoke his mind first: "Our two tribes have fought for 400 years due to historical reasons. I hope this endless hatred can end today. I hope we can reach a reconciliation."
Wapol was not pleased with this idea: "You Skypieans drove us out of our home 400 years ago. How can this hatred just end like that?"
Hera immediately felt a headache coming on. Because she had dealt with Eneru alone, Wapol and Gan Fall hadn't experienced the friendship of fighting side-by-side or facing a life-and-death crisis together. This left Wapol with no goodwill toward the Skypieans, only hatred. Facing this situation, she was also somewhat at a loss.
Gan Fall stood up and gave Wapol a deep bow: "I know it was wrong for my ancestors to seize your territory, but I truly hope the hatred of generations can end with our generation. This Holy Land will be returned to you Shandians, and we will provide various resources to help you rebuild your home."
A warrior's honor made Wapol reluctant to accept Gan Fall's terms, but as a tribal leader, he also understood that Hera definitely wanted Sky Island to return to peace. Gan Fall's terms were very sincere, and besides, they couldn't say they were completely blameless for being suddenly thrust up by the sea current. Thus, he nodded and agreed.
Seeing that the two could resolve the conflict on their own, Hera felt relieved: "In that case, I shall bear witness here. The peace between the Skypieans and the Shandians begins now."
