THIRD PERSON'S POINT OF VIEW
Their breath came in heavy, matching waves in the quiet room. Sera lay on the sheets, hands fisted in the fabric as she waited for him to close the space between them. Lucian stood at the foot of the bed, taking his time-drinking in the sight of her bare skin in the low light, letting her find her center. He knew she was willing, but he could feel the tremor in her muscles, the way she held herself tight with fear.
"L-Lucian?" Her voice came soft and uncertain. It had been too long since he'd moved.
"I'm right here."
Relief loosened her shoulders at the sound of his voice, warm and close.
