Chapter 138 - Chapter 139 Mars Documentary

Soon after, Dr. Ronald, dressed in a researcher's white coat, arrived at the door.

"Mike!" Dr. Ronald called out from a distance, "Why are you here? Do you have any questions you don't understand?"

Evidently, Dr. Ronald misunderstood; he thought Mike had come to him for guidance.

After all, before they parted ways last time, he had promised that Medford's students could seek help in Houston.

"Not really," Mike said, shaking his head slightly. "This time, Sheldon mainly has something to discuss with you."

"Oh, the child with the excellent memory." Dr. Ronald then looked at Sheldon and said with a kind smile, "Little friend, I remember you."

Listening to Dr. Ronald's tone, Sheldon realized that the other party was still treating him like a child. So he tightened his small face and glared at him with dissatisfaction.

However, Sheldon's display of displeasure was completely lost on Dr. Ronald.

Dr. Ronald casually bypassed him, communicated a few words with George, who had arrived, and then led the three to his office.

After having his assistant serve drinks to the three, Dr. Ronald asked, "Now, can you tell me the purpose of your visit?"

Sheldon had been waiting for this moment. He took out the prepared document, placed it in front of the other party, and said, "This is 'Rocket Launch Plan 2.0.' Please review it."

"Interesting..." Dr. Ronald looked at Sheldon's serious demeanor, and his attitude also became much more serious.

Regarding his professional field, Dr. Ronald carefully flipped through the document.

"Oh, what a genius design..." As Dr. Ronald reviewed the document, a look of surprise slowly appeared on his face.

After he finished reading all the content, only an expression of admiration remained on his face: "Mike, did you and Sheldon complete this?"

"In fact, this is a plan Sheldon completed independently; I just provided some references," Mike said truthfully.

Meanwhile, Sheldon, on the side, proudly lifted his chin.

"Truly astonishing." Dr. Ronald looked at Sheldon and said, "I take back my previous underestimation of you. You are a... very special child."

"I accept your apology," Sheldon got what he wanted and felt very comfortable, even the discomfort in his stomach disappeared.

Immediately, with his mind at ease, he was about to call his dad and Mike to leave.

"Wait, Sheldon. There are many parts of this plan that I don't quite understand. Can you explain them to me?" When it came to his professional field, Dr. Ronald revealed his rigorous side.

"Of course," Sheldon arrogantly stood up, walked to the only small blackboard in the office, and adopted the demeanor of a little teacher: "You can ask any questions you have."

Then, as the two engaged in a question-and-answer session, time slowly passed. During this time, Mike was also asked about the Multistage Rocket Booster and Booster Recovery plan.

After all, these two groundbreaking theories were first proposed by him.

Meanwhile, George, watching the three discuss intensely, couldn't interject at all. So, he could only pour himself two more cups of black tea.

Indeed, NASA's tea was better than what was available outside.

Finally, after more than two hours, Dr. Ronald, who had fully understood "Rocket Launch Plan 2.0," had a complicated expression on his face.

"Your plan is excellent and helps us solve many technical problems. However, as I said before, the entire plan is too advanced. To fully implement it now, many technical and material aspects still cannot meet your requirements..." Dr. Ronald said regretfully.

One must know how agonizing it is for professionals to encounter a better solution that cannot be implemented.

Fortunately, Sheldon researched this plan only to prove his capability, and he had not considered putting it into production.

And now, to earn Dr. Ronald's admiration, he was already very satisfied.

Mike, on the other hand, was not too concerned that the plan could not be implemented. He said, "It doesn't matter. I have already applied for a patent for this plan. When the conditions are met, someone will naturally notice it."

In fact, this plan could completely become a win-win situation. Mike and Sheldon provide NASA with a direction for progress, and when aerospace technology conditions are met, both of them can collect patent fees from NASA.

"Your approach is very correct." Dr. Ronald thought for a moment and understood Mike's idea, and he couldn't help but marvel at his maturity.

"Alright, we should go." George, who had drunk several cups of tea, saw that it was almost time and prepared to take Sheldon and Mike to leave.

This mission was now successfully completed.

It was only when George reminded him that Dr. Ronald realized it was getting late outside. So, he suggested, "As a token of my gratitude, please allow me to treat you to dinner."

"No need," George refused. "We still need to find a place to stay, and we're a bit short on time. Let's do dinner another time."

Clearly, George was speaking politely; after the three left NASA, they might not have another chance to meet Dr. Ronald.

However, George's point about finding accommodation was true.

"That's a shame," Dr. Ronald also considered their difficulties, but to compensate Sheldon and Mike, he reluctantly took out two movie tickets and said, "As a token of my gratitude, please accept these two movie tickets."

"Midnight screening?" Mike took the movie tickets and saw the time printed on them: tonight's midnight screening.

"'Mars Exploration'? Is this an educational film?" Sheldon, on the other hand, noticed the content of the movie ticket.

"Yes, I heard this is precious footage filmed internally by NASA..." Dr. Ronald explained.

Hearing that it was an alien educational film, Sheldon immediately became interested.

After bidding farewell to Dr. Ronald, George skillfully found the small hotel where they had stayed last time. After checking in, he took Sheldon and Mike out for a big meal.

For this trip, Mary had prepared ample funds for George.

As midnight approached, following the directions on the movie tickets, George drove Sheldon and Mike to a secluded private cinema.

"I feel like something's not right," George felt uneasy as he drove off the main road, the streetlights gone, and the scene outside the car window pitch black.

However, seeing his youngest son's eager expression, George still chose to get out of the car and walked with Sheldon and Mike towards the only lit cinema.

"This is private property. No unauthorized personnel without a pass," at the cinema's only entrance, two burly men blocked Mike and the other two.

"Is this it?" Mike held up the movie tickets in his hand.

Upon seeing the tickets, the two burly men's attitudes improved significantly, though they still stated matter-of-factly, "You only have two tickets, so only two people can enter."

Before Mike could reply, George pulled the two beside him aside.

"This place gives me a bad feeling. Maybe we should just leave," George advised.

He had just seen the muscles of the two burly men, which were not something ordinary people could develop.

Clearly, this private cinema was not simple.

"I don't think there's any problem. Look over there." The Mars Exploration educational film held a strong appeal for Sheldon.

And looking in the direction he pointed, a luxurious car was parked by the roadside, and a well-dressed old man, holding a movie ticket, successfully entered the cinema.
