Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Plan B

### Chapter 10: Plan B

"Stand back and watch my light show! Let Green Lantern deal with this one!"

Facing Darkseid who was coming straight at them, Hal stretched out his hand to block the crowd behind him. The green light in his hand turned into a giant iron fist, and he rushed forward first.

*Bam~*

Hal used all his strength, but the moment he touched Darkseid, the energy-constructed fist still shattered instantly.

It felt like he had smashed his fist into a high mountain countless times harder than steel.

Darkseid didn't speak. He just waved his hand, sweeping Hal aside like swatting away a fly. Hal smashed into the wall of a building, creating a large crater before bouncing off and falling to the ground.

His subordinate Parademons instantly rushed forward. Just as they were about to finish off this human who offended their king, Ben fired a fireball, and the scorching heat instantly pierced their heads.

The Flash flew forward and pulled the unconscious Hal back to the group.

At this time, Darkseid's army of Parademons had completed their assembly, and the battle officially began.

"I need time to connect the Mother Box to the Apokolips network. It's better to stand somewhere higher!"

Cyborg took out the Mother Box stored in his body and immediately began trying to establish a connection. In the plan, his task could be said to be the most critical link.

Whether driving the enemy back home or saving those captured humans, he had to complete the connection to the Mother Box.

[Data Connecting...]

As the body interface accessed the Mother Box, countless data flashed through Cyborg's brain.

[Connection Failed]

He tried hard to access the Apokolips network, but the enemy seemed to have noticed and built a firewall to intercept his connection.

"Did you succeed?"

Ben threw a fireball to kill the Parademons beside him and looked up at Cyborg hovering in the air to ask, "How long until you can send these Parademons back?"

At this time, Superman took the initiative to meet Darkseid. Shazam protected Cyborg's side, blocking attacking Parademons for him.

Wonder Woman and The Flash were assisting Superman in his attack. Green Lantern was still unconscious, and Batman was entangled by Parademons attacking from all directions.

"Batman! Do you want to try Hal's ring? The Green Lantern ring is one of the most powerful weapons in the universe. As long as you possess strong will, you can unleash its power."

Although Batman hadn't emptied all the gadgets in his belt, these props used to deal with Gotham criminals ultimately had little effect when dealing with the war weapons of Apokolips, the Parademons.

Looking at the unconscious Hal Jordan, Ben continuously rubbed fireballs to attack the Parademons trying to take Hal away.

Not far away, Darkseid still held the upper hand despite the combined attacks of Superman, Wonder Woman, and The Flash.

Ben felt it would be better for Batman to put on the Green Lantern ring and participate in the battle as a stable combat force.

"I am the greatest Green Lantern!"

In his blurred consciousness, Hal seemed to hear Ben's words. He stood up, and the lantern ring emitted a dazzling brilliance.

The green energy directly transformed into a smoking locomotive wrapping Hal, rushing straight towards Darkseid.

"My power is more than this!"

"..."

Seeing Hal launch a death charge at Darkseid, Ben had no time to stop him.

He somewhat regretted not telling Hal about the battle between Darkseid and the Green Lantern Corps in advance.

3600 Green Lanterns fought until two-thirds died before even reaching Darkseid. The remaining people plus the Guardians of the Universe were powerless to contend with him.

Unless Hal Jordan now carried the Central Power Battery of Oa and fused with Parallax, maybe he could compete with Darkseid.

The charging train turned into scrap metal the moment it hit Darkseid, and Hal rolled to the side.

Although the damage wasn't high, Hal attracted Darkseid's attention.

Red light flashed in Darkseid's eyes, about to shoot an Omega Beam to eliminate the annoying "bug".

Superman suddenly arrived in front of Darkseid, using his super strength to deliver a heavy uppercut to interrupt Darkseid's attack. Immediately following with a left hook, another heavy punch landed on Darkseid's face.

Feeling the pain, Darkseid was successfully enraged. He grabbed Superman's cape, swung him around, and threw him heavily to the ground.

Wonder Woman seized this opportunity to step forward. Her sword, which could directly cut through Parademons, only left shallow marks on Darkseid's armor. Darkseid just punched out once, and Wonder Woman was sent flying, caught by Shazam in the sky.

The speeding Flash had just sprinted forward when Darkseid responded with an Omega Beam.

Darkseid's Omega Beams were different from Superman's heat vision. Darkseid could control the direction of the beams at will until the enemy was completely erased.

The Flash was fast. Even though everyone and everything around him was so slow it seemed time had stopped, the Omega Beam could still catch up to his speed.

He tried to turn, but the Omega Beam actually followed his movements, changing direction without any delay.

"Run, Barry, Run!!! He has locked onto you."

At this time, Superman, the only one who could keep up with The Flash's speed, tried to remind him.

"Before hitting a target, the beam doesn't seem to stop!"

Looking at several Parademons on the street ahead, The Flash had an idea to get rid of the Omega Beam.

While continuously accelerating, The Flash tried hard to control the vibration frequency of his body molecules.

Until the vibration frequency of his body molecules matched that of the Parademons in front of him, The Flash passed through the bodies of several Parademons in succession.

Accompanying the Omega Beam killing a row of more than a dozen Parademons one after another and finally stopping, The Flash breathed a sigh of relief.

"Phew~ usually I wouldn't even be out of breath."

Just as he finished speaking, The Flash accelerated back to the battlefield. At this time, Batman, who had just used miniature bombs to repel a wave of Parademons, calculated the time and looked up at Cyborg in the sky.

"Can't connect to the Mother Box and send the enemies back?"

Even with a quantum computer brain, with the enemy on guard, Cyborg still couldn't break through the enemy's firewall and successfully connect to the Apokolips network.

"The enemy seems to have anticipated my invasion. I'm trying!"

Hearing Cyborg's response, Batman frowned. Perhaps Ben's earlier action of controlling the Mother Box attracted the enemy's attention.

Judging from Cyborg's reaction, the probability of invading the Apokolips network from the outside was very low.

"Maybe, we can break through from the inside."
