"Is her stomach acting up again?" Sera asked anxiously, helping Dakota remain steady. "Easy, dear. Don't force yourself."
Dakota continued vomiting until there was almost nothing left in her stomach, her breathing uneven and her entire body weakened by the sudden episode. Kade remained beside her throughout it, carefully supporting her while Sera waited until the worst of it had passed before helping her straighten.
Before Dakota had even fully recovered, a guard hurried into the private kitchen carrying a phone that had clearly been ringing for some time.
"Royal Alpha, this was left in the bedroom. It has been ringing."
Kade took the phone from him without checking the caller and ended the incoming call before immediately dialing Elias. His attention remained fixed on Dakota as he waited for the connection, and when the healer answered, Kade's voice was controlled but carried an unmistakable urgency.
"Good afternoon, Alpha."
"Can you move Cooper to the Estate?" Kade asked.
