After I confirmed that Lola and Leke have left the building, I picked up the guns of the two I just dropped, while checking slightly for any foe "damn it Demi, if I don't kill you I am not Bamidele" I swore bitterly in my mind.
He quite had the audacity to come after me. I made my steps swiftly up the stairs while i dispatched some of Demi's men who had breached in to the building
RA TATA TA TA
The echo of gunfire rang loudly through the building. As I pushed past the dense rooms and stepped into the main hall, I saw many of my men barely holding off the foes. I joined them immediately, moving with precision as we forced the attackers back.
I launched my assault furiously, carving a path toward the exit.
Once outside, I spotted only four of Demi's boys lingering around the building. I dropped them swiftly, then took in the scene around me—several of my men were down, some groaning in pain with serious injuries across different parts of their bodies.
I thought I heard Demi's voice.
Where is he?
I scanned the area but couldn't see him, nor the vehicles they had arrived in. I didn't dwell on it. We had successfully driven them off.
I headed toward the garage, reaching into my pocket to pull out my car key as one of my men rushed out of the building.
"Secure the building. Take care of the injured. Clean this place up," I ordered as I entered the car.
"Yes, sir," he replied with a slight bow.
I zoomed off.
THIRD-PERSON POV
Meanwhile, Leke drove Lola into the villa, barking orders for the men to secure the premises. The maids rushed to assist as he helped Lola inside. She was taken to an inner room where doctors and nurses were already on standby.
They prepared the room quickly, laying Lola gently on the bed as they began the procedures.
Forty-five minutes later, the loud cry of a newborn echoed through the room. Smiles spread across every face.
"Congratulations, madam," the doctor said.
Lola only nodded, too exhausted to speak, but joy filled her heart as she silently prayed for her husband's safety.
The doctors cleaned both mother and child just as Bamidele's call came through.
"Boss is calling, my lady," Leke said, handing her the phone.
"Hello, Lola," Bamidele's voice came through.
"Thank God you're safe," Lola said immediately.
"Yes. I'm on my way—I'm coming right now," Bamidele replied.
Almost instantly, a thunderous bang echoed outside the villa, as if the giant gate had been blasted open.
"Lola, what was that?" Bamidele asked sharply.
"Boss! Demi and his boys are here!" Leke shouted.
The villa descended into chaos. Demi and his men stormed in, killing everything in their path, while the security forces responded just as fiercely, returning fire and taking down the intruders.
"Damn it! How did Demi track you to the villa?" Bamidele cursed, flooring the accelerator.
"I don't know, boss. I'm going to get the lady—"
Leke was cut short.
GBAM!
The windows shattered instantly as a massive explosion rocked the villa. Large sections of the building collapsed, sparks and fire bursting from damaged equipment. Another devastating shot followed, as though an armored tank was being used.
"Get Lola and my child out of there now, Leke!" Bamidele roared.
"Yes, boss!"
Some doctors and nurses collapsed in terror while others fled the building. Lola ripped the drip from her arm and forced herself up, pushing through the pain as she staggered from the damaged room. Security rushed to shield her.
Suddenly, a tall, dark-skinned, heavily built man in black strode into the hall, a gun strapped across his back.
Demi.
The guards raised their weapons instinctively, but before they could fire, Demi shot them down with brutal precision.
Lola dragged one of the fallen guards into the room and retrieved his gun.
"My lady, take the young master and escape. I'll hold him off," Leke said, placing the newborn in her arms.
"No, Leke," Lola said, pulling him back. "I'm weak, and I don't know when Bamidele will arrive. You must take my son and get him out of here. I'll buy you time."
"My lady, we can both escape through—"
Gunshots slammed into the door—three rapid blasts.
"Go now, Leke. Please protect my son," Lola said firmly, pushing him toward the window.
"My lady… I'm sorry I couldn't protect you," Leke said, voice breaking as he moved quickly.
He placed his hand beside the window. A biometric scanner lit up, reading his fingerprint. A hidden passage opened beneath the window.
"Let's go together, my lady. He'll detect any—"
The door burst open.
They both fired at once. Leke slipped into the passage instantly. Lola slammed the panel shut, locking it as the passage slowly sealed, vanishing as if it had never existed.
She lowered herself onto the bed, waiting.
"Wow… isn't this the infamous beauty?" a voice drawled. "We meet again, Lola."
Demi stepped into the room.
"What do you want, Demi?" Lola asked, calm on the surface, fear coiled tightly inside her.
"Oh, many things," he replied, sitting casually on the couch near the exit, his eyes flicking toward the spot where the passage had disappeared.
"Your little trick was amusing," he said. "And congratulations on your safe delivery."
If Lola hadn't known him before, she might have mistaken him for a gentleman.
"You're a scum," she spat.
"Ouch. That's a rude reply to a greeting," Demi said mockingly.
"You deserve the worst curse. Why won't you leave my family alone?" she demanded.
"I deserve the worst curse," Demi laughed softly, stroking his gun, "and your husband is worth the most."
"Open the secret passage now, Lola, and I'll spare you and your husband."
"Over my dead body," Lola said coldly. "There is no secret passage."
"You're smarter than this," Demi warned.
He pulled out his phone. "Hello, Jago. Take five men. Lock onto anyone you see carrying anything in their hands. I want positive results."
Lola raised her gun and fired.
Demi dodged just in time—the bullet tore into his shoulder instead of his head.
"You lowlife bitch!" he roared, clutching the wound with one hand while firing with the other.
AH!
Lola screamed as the shot struck her knee, forcing her down.
"I was going to show mercy, considering you just gave birth," Demi snarled, grabbing her face and dragging her toward the window. "Open the damn door!"
"You're joking," Lola hissed. "Scum."
His phone rang
Here is your polished version, with grammar cleaned, flow tightened, tense corrected, and clarity sharpened—while preserving every original detail, event, and wording as closely as possible:
"Boss," a voice said, "Bamidele is inside the building, making his way to your location."
He tucked the phone into his pocket and slammed the end of the gun against Lola's head, forcefully raising her hand to the window side. Since he didn't know the location of the scanner, he had to try randomly.
"Unlock this, Lola, and I might show you some mercy," he grumbled.
Lola remained silent. Moments later, they heard heavy, rushing footsteps approaching, and Lola sighed in relief.
While Demi relentlessly pressed her hand at random spots along the window, the scanner finally showed signs of opening. Lola cursed inwardly, praying Bamidele would arrive in time.
Demi knew the secret passage had opened. He deliberately waited for Bamidele to appear.
He had three main plans: kill Bamidele, kill this bitch, and then go after the new child.
Once the secret passage was fully open, Demi sat at the edge with Lola as his hostage, waiting calmly.
"Well, well, well… isn't this the infamous son of a gun?" Demi sneered disdainfully as Bamidele appeared.
As Bamidele entered, he immediately raised his gun, ready to shoot Demi, but seeing how tightly he held Lola, he hesitated on the trigger.
"You have a vendetta with me—why not leave my family out of this?" Bamidele said through gritted teeth.
"I would have considered that, but unfortunately you refused to toast for punishment," Demi replied, grinning.
"I'll do whatever you want. Just don't hurt her anymore," Bamidele said vulnerably, letting his guard down.
"Uhm… on one condition," Demi said, tracing Lola's face with the barrel of his gun.
"State your terms, scum," Bamidele replied.
"Yeah, what's with the fierceness? Drop your gun and bow down before I state my terms," Demi scorned.
"Sure," Bamidele said through gritted teeth. He didn't trust Demi enough to drop his gun completely, but he had to comply—for Lola's sake.
His worst fear came true. The moment he dropped the gun—
BANG.
Demi fired, but instinctively Bamidele dodged. The bullet tore into his left shoulder, blood gushing out.
Bamidele let out a muffled scream, then returned fire. The shot didn't kill Demi outright but grazed his kneecap, shattering it instantly.
"Fuck!" Demi roared in pain.
Realizing he was no match for Bamidele, he turned the gun on Lola and shot her straight in the head.
THUD.
Lola dropped dead.
"NO!" Bamidele screamed, voice raw with fury. Seeing his wife shot, he went berserk and charged toward her.
Meanwhile, Demi had already dashed into the secret passage, fleeing for his life.
In his grief, Bamidele's rational mind returned. He gently lifted Lola, laid her down, and with his right hand closed her eyes.
"Rest assured, Lola. I will kill that beast and avenge you," Bamidele said through clenched teeth.
He retrieved his gun and went after Demi—though he knew Demi could no longer move quickly, with his kneecap already shattered.
