Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Villain Awakens

Victor opened his eyes.

The headache was splitting, as if someone had drilled a hole into his skull. He instinctively reached out to rub his temples, but his hand touched something smooth and cold—silk.

"Silk sheets?"

Victor sat up abruptly. This wasn't his rented apartment. This was a bedroom larger than most people's entire houses.

Floor-to-ceiling windows offered a panoramic view of the city skyline at night. Crystal chandeliers, imported Persian rugs, and a walk-in closet filled with bespoke suits...

Suddenly, a flood of memories surged into his brain.

"Argh!"

Victor clutched his head. After a full minute, the pain subsided, replaced by a look of shock.

"I... crossed over?" (我穿越了?)

He had transmigrated into a novel he read last night, "The Peerless War God."

But he wasn't the hero, Lin Feng.

He was Victor Cheyne, the young master of the Cheyne Consortium. He was handsome, filthy rich, and had a net worth of billions.

Sounds perfect, right?

Wrong.

In the novel, Victor was the Ultimate Lick-dog Villain (终极舔狗反派).

He was obsessed with the female lead, Sophia, the icy female CEO. He gave her resources, money, and connections, but she treated him like trash.

And the protagonist, Lin Feng? He was currently working as a "humble bodyguard" for Sophia.

"Wait..." Victor glanced at the digital clock on the wall. "7:00 PM."

His face darkened.

If his memory served him right, tonight was the Engagement Banquet between the Cheyne and the family of Sophia.

In the original plot, Victor would propose to Sophia tonight. Sophia would reject him in front of the entire elite society, claiming she found "true love" with her bodyguard, Lin Feng.

Then, Lin Feng would step forward, slap Victor in the face, break his leg, and announce, "Thirty years east, thirty years west, don't bully the poor!"

After tonight, the Cheyne family would become a laughingstock. Their stock prices would crash. Within three months, Victor's father would die of a heart attack, and Victor would freeze to death on the streets.

"What a shitty script," Victor sneered, his eyes turning cold. (真是个烂剧本,Victor 冷笑.)

He walked to the full-length mirror.

The man in the reflection was tall, with sharp eyebrows and deep, predatory eyes. He looked like a king, yet in the book, he was written as a clown.

"Since I'm here, I won't be a stepping stone for anyone," Victor whispered. "Lin Feng? The Son of Destiny? Let's see if your plot armor is thicker than my wallet."

Suddenly, a mechanical sound chimed in his mind.

[Ding!]

[Detection: Host's mental state has aligned with the Villain Path.]

[The Destiny Villain System is activating...]

[Activation Successful!]

Victor wasn't surprised. As a transmigrator, a System was standard equipment.

"System, introduce yourself."

[Greetings, Host. This System is designed to help you crush the Protagonists and plunder their Destiny Points.]

"Humiliate her?" Victor adjusted his tie, a devilish smirk appearing on his face. "I intended to do that even without the mission."

He had never liked the "Ice Queen" type anyway. A woman who takes your money but looks down on you? In his previous life, that was called a scammer.

Knock, knock.

The heavy mahogany door opened. An old butler in a tuxedo bowed respectfully.

"Young Master, the car is ready. Miss Sophia called. She said... she said you shouldn't be late, or she will be unhappy."

The butler looked worried. He knew how much his Young Master cared about that woman. Usually, Victor would panic and rush out immediately.

But today...

Victor stood still, leisurely putting on a Patek Philippe watch worth $500,000.

"Unhappy?" Victor chuckled lightly. "Let her wait."

The butler was stunned. "But Young Master..."

Victor turned around. His gaze was no longer gentle; it was sharp and oppressive, like a heavy mountain. The butler instinctively lowered his head, trembling.

"Uncle Alfred," Victor said calmly. "Prepare a second car. Fill it with cash. And call the head of our security team. Tell them to bring weapons."

"W-weapons? Are we going to war, Young Master?"

Victor walked past the butler, the hem of his black trench coat swaying.

"No," Victor's voice echoed in the hallway. "We are going to teach a 'War God' the difference between a dog and a dragon."
