"And now, it's the match between two pink heads, Sukuna versus Mina!"
Sukuna stared down Mina who smirked at him. "Go easy on me will ya?" She joked. Sukuna only shrugged a little as his signature black markings slowly appeared on his face.
As Midnight called for the match to start, Mina acted immediately, clasping her hands together before sending a pressured acid jet towards him, using her Piercing Acid on him.
Sukuna leaped away, as Mina didn't stop firing her attack at him as he kept running to the side. The acid melted down the concrete, quickly corroding it. Sukuna noted that her viscosity and acidity has improved tremendously.
'Sure hope she doesn't kill someone with this.' He thought to himself, before suddenly closing in the distance. Mina stopped her Piercing Acid attack as he threw a punch at her. With a wave of her hand, she created an acidic wall between her and Sukuna.
When the acid wall disappeared, Mina realized that Sukuna was in front of her anymore. 'Eh? Where is he?' She asked before stopping in realization.
'He's right behind me... isn't he...'
"Ahh!!!" With a kick to her butt, Sukuna sent Mina flying out of the arena, tumbling on the stadium grass.
Midnight deadpanned at Sukuna staring at the tumbling Mina. 'Really kid? Couldn't you be any more obvious?' She shook her head. It was clear to her Sukuna had no intentions of fighting Mina whatsoever, even though the girl had shown determination to face him head on.
With a sigh, she declared him the winner, while the whole stadium couldn't decide whether to clap or not due to the lame ending to the fight.
"Ow! That hurts!" Mina complained, glaring up at Sukuna before pouting at him.
"And why'd you have to kick my butt specifically?! Were you trying to cop a feel, pervert?!" Mina shouted. Sukuna only smirked at her in response.
"Heh."
"You're just proving that I'm right!"
"Alright c'mon, you big baby, let's get you out of here." An amused Sukuna helped her up as they walked down to the stadium concourse together.
"At least you could've let her fight you for a while longer." Jin chuckled to himself. Meanwhile, Kaori was grinning at her stash of photos she took of the two pink heads.
"Oh so he's the gentle type huh." Maya giggled, seeing through Sukuna's intentions clear as day.
"I wouldn't call that gentle at all." Kano grumbled stubbornly, not liking the way the kicked her daughter. Meanwhile, Present Mic and Aizawa looked at each other at the announcement booth.
"You didn't tell me these two were together, Shota."
"I have no idea... and I don't particularly care..." Aizawa scratched his head. He knew they were close, but he wouldn't say that they were dating. But in the end it's still none of his business to ask.
"You don't check in with them once in a while?"
"I have no reason to be involved in their private lives." The long haired hero grumbled.
"Dude, considering the fact that they survived with whatever that was at the USJ, I think you have the right to check in on their mental health. A lot of people are suffering in silence these days, ya know?"
Aizawa didn't know how to answer him as Mic continued to announce.
...
"Somebody should definitely check on Ida." Tsuyu commented after the fight between Ida and Denki was over. Throughout the match, Ida seemed out of it, like his mind was somewhere else instead of strategizing against Denki.
It was when he was shocked by Denki's indiscriminate discharge for half a second that he returned to the present, escaping Denki's range of attack. Instead of fighting it, he channeled the tremor into motion, as he disappeared in a blur, becoming only a blue streak.
(bruh just realized I've been spelling Iida's name wrong)
Denki barely had time to widen his eyes before Iida appears behind him, a blur re-materializing into a solid, armored shoulder slam, before a vicious combo that sent the yellow haired teen flying out of the arena.
The crowd cheered for the speedy blue haired boy, but Iida was barely registering the cheers, as he went back to staring at the void, slowly walking down the stairs and into the stadium.
"Yeah someone should really check on him." Kirishima mumbled, watching Iida.
"Ah who cares?! My fight's coming up!" Bakugo shouted as he launched himself to the arena, looking at Momo who walked up to him as he landed.
"You better not hold anything back, Factory Girl! Or else I'll whoop your ass harder than I did to Kirby!" Momo wasn't intimidated at the slightest.
"I don't plan to."
.....
"Ah, I should've went in for the kill from the start..." Momo muttered, kneeling before Bakugo while coughing a little. Bakugo grinned down at her.
While initially, Momo did well, catching Bakugo off guard and getting some hits in, she took too long to initiate to her plan that Bakugo only became stronger in the process, his sweat production only increasing as time went on.
"Ya don't play the long game fighting a guy like me! Though... you weren't too bad I guess..." Bakugo grumbled, helping Momo stand up, the black haired girl muttering a small thanks.
He would've walked away by now, leaving Momo to be taken away by the medics, but unfortunately his mother was watching, and boy would she be mad if she saw that he just left an injured girl all to herself like he planned to.
As time went on, Bakugo was realizing that he wasn't that special as people thought he was, as Uraraka, even with a simple Quirk came close to defeating him. And Momo, although not having a flashy quirk per se, also came close to winning too. The truth was that he won by sheer luck, and the truth hurts his ego.
Bakugo walked off the arena, ignoring the cheers, having one thought circling his mind. Maybe being an egotistical maniac wasn't worth his time anymore. Sukuna was right, there are always people who were better than him in many different ways, people who could easily catch up to him if he wasn't disciplined enough.
As Bakugo walked past a crowd, ignoring the hollering from the stalls in the concourse. He bumped into someone.
"Oi watch it—" He froze, laying eyes on who he bumped into. A brown haired girl with dark brown eyes and plump glossy lips.
"Yes?" The bubbly girl smiled, tilting her head at him. Bakugo stared at her for a couple of seconds before scowling.
"Nevermind!" He grumbled, placing his hands in his pockets. The girl giggled, her laugh sounded angelic.
"What, were you gonna get mad me or something? You're the one not looking in front of you."
"Tch! Whatever!" He crossed his arms.
"So anyways, let's let bygones be bygones. But do you have any idea how to get up to the stands? I think I lost my way after going to the washroom." She placed a finger on her chin, seemingly in deep thought. She smiled at him.
"Could you perhaps lead the way?" She asked, enforcing the puppy doll eyes technique on Bakugo who stared with an open mouth.
He scowled, looking away, though there was a small tinge of red on his cheeks. He didn't find any of the girls in UA attractive to him at all, so why was this girl suddenly getting him in the feels.
"Sure.... Whatever...." The girl smiled slyly, noticing his embarrassed tone. Yes! This was her chance! She had to tease him now!
"Hehe. The way you blush is kinda cute ya know~"
"I'm not cute damnit!!!"
"And also you're like super hot.... Can I like, have your number?"
"Huh?!"
Yeah, never change, Bakugo.
To be continued...
