Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Although the buildings in Los Angeles are lit up at night, the city is eerily silent, as if cursed.

I heated up the leftover pizza and beef from this morning in the microwave, and took out a bottle of white ice wine from the wine cabinet, the price of which I didn't know.

To be honest, Andy had virtually no knowledge of alcohol and couldn't tell good from bad. Red wine wasn't to his liking, but high-sugar white ice wine was his favorite in his previous life, even though a bottle cost eight or nine hundred dollars.

I've stockpiled over a dozen bottles at home.

This white ice wine, crafted at -8℃, has an amber color and a naturally harmonious blend of sweet and sour flavors. Its rich and delicate taste, along with its unique and captivating fruity aroma, has earned it the nickname "liquid gold."

After filling his stomach, Andy picked up the wine glass from the table and went into the study. He sat in front of the computer, his fingers tapping on the keyboard. In the center of the blank document on the computer screen appeared the first act of "Dark Fairy Tale," "Sleeping Beauty."

The image of Angelina Jolie's bizarre look immediately comes to mind, making one want to complain, "It's fucking ugly!"

The movie "Maleficent" is adapted from "Sleeping Beauty".

In the peaceful and serene Moor Kingdom, the innocent fairy Maleficent meets a human boy named Stefan.

They were childhood sweethearts, became close friends, and fell in love.

But as he grew older, Stefan lost his innocence and became attracted to human greed.

Maleficent, on the other hand, grew into a powerful fairy.

Foolish humans waged war against the Moor Kingdom, and Stefan, in order to become the heir to the throne, cruelly cut off Maleficent's wings.

Physical pain and emotional trauma transformed Maleficent into a ruthless witch filled with hatred. In her quest for revenge, she cast a sleeping spell on Stefan's daughter, Princess Aurora...

Scenes from the movie flashed through Andy's mind, and he tried his best to describe every scene, character, and dialogue in the movie with the most fitting words.

This is the only way to write the story down first, and then revise and polish it later. After all, this is Andy's first time writing, so this is the only option he can use, albeit a clumsy one.

Time flies like an arrow, never to return, yet it leaves behind ripples.

For the next few days, aside from meeting with his lawyer and accountant to handle the mortgage loan matters, and brushing off his parents' phone calls and his broker's incessant chatter, he spent almost all his time holed up in his study writing.

Writing a novel may seem easy, but it is actually quite difficult to start. It may seem easy to recreate the plot of a movie, but it is another matter to describe the scene in detail with words. After several days, Andy had only described one-third of the plot.

Fortunately, with the original Andy's soul integrated, the use of words and descriptions were very appropriate, and sometimes new inspirations would even emerge to enrich the story. The novel was being written more and more smoothly, which made Andy extremely excited.

These past few days, Andy has been eating takeout from nearby upscale restaurants. To be honest, he doesn't really like American hamburgers. To maintain his health, he eats steak almost every meal. Isn't it said that Americans are strong because they eat beef and drink milk? He eats steak with pizza, ice wine, and various fruit and vegetable salads.

(This is character development. Definitely not a self-insert).

To be honest, after a few days of feasting, although he didn't seem to have gained much weight, his pale complexion had become rosy, his thin face had become fuller, and his lake-blue eyes were brighter.

My overall energy and spirit have become much more vibrant.

In the sunny afternoon in Los Angeles, Andy lay on a lounge chair in the villa's small garden, filled with various plants and flowers, wearing large sunglasses and basking in the warm sunshine. A cup of coffee and a plate of snacks sat on a small table next to him, making him feel very relaxed and comfortable.

Listening to the faint chirping of birds that occasionally came from the tall trees around him, Andy's lips curled up slightly, revealing a hint of smugness.

Lately, his mind has become increasingly active, his memory has become exceptional, and he can rival the geniuses of this world. His eyesight and hearing are far beyond those of ordinary people, and his strength is also increasing.

Every morning when he woke up, he felt sticky all over, with sweat mixed with some black grime all over the sheets, which was disgusting.

However, after taking a hot bath, he could clearly feel that his body became lighter and more comfortable.

Unable to explain all of this reasonably, and unable to let a second person know his situation, he could only attribute it to the benefits brought by time travel. The nosebleed problem that he had been worried about a few days ago no longer seemed to bother him. With his body recovering, he no longer experienced fainting or nosebleeds when entering the memory tunnel. This made Andy, who was now very afraid of death, extremely relieved and at ease.

"Buzzing..."

The phone on the table beside him buzzed and vibrated. He lazily reached out and picked it up, glanced at the caller ID—it was his manager—and answered with a sigh, "Hey, Carl, can you let me rest in peace for a while?"

"No, no, dear Andy, you've rested long enough. You know what? Because of what you've been writing on your blog lately, 7Teen magazine is now willing to offer you $300,000 to write a blog for them. Isn't that great news?"

Carl, speaking at a machine-gun-like pace, shouted excitedly.

"Damn, Carl, do you know what a leech you are?" Andy said sarcastically, holding his phone between his shoulder and head, and sitting up while bracing himself on the armrests of the recliner.

"No, Andy, you know I did all this for you.I do love the green goodies, but I care about you more. I brought you from New York to Hollywood, so of course I have to be responsible for you."

Carl shamelessly offered his excuses.

"You're really shameless, I really want to fire you!" Andy was powerless against his agent's shamelessness.

"Hehe, you've already fired me four times. You can't threaten me, dear Andy. The things you write on your blog are absolutely awesome, you know? Several newspapers have already reported on them. I've said it before, you're a genius..."

"Alright, alright, your flattery disgusts me. Save it for your secretary, the one with the piercings" Andy took a sip of coffee and teased with a wicked smile. (Once again, this is all for the plot. Not Self insert).

"Damn it, how did you know she had her nipples pierced? Did she sleep with you? That little bitch, I'll teach her a lesson when I get back..." Karl cursed angrily.

"Don't worry, I haven't slept with her. Can't I just guess? You'd better be careful. Trying to have an affair in the office, or you'll get caught!"

Upon hearing Andy's words, Carl's expression changed slightly, and he said with an awkward laugh, "How could that be? It was a matter of mutual consent."

"Hehe, as a friend I've already given you some advice. Whether you listen or not is up to you, but you'd better be careful."

Andy rolled his eyes, shrugged helplessly, and continued, "By the way, can you find me a maid who is proficient in most cuisines, and also a fitness coach, as soon as possible?"

"Thanks for your concern, I'll be careful. The main problem is I really can't bear to part with that little bitch. You have no idea how skilled she is. Hehe, a maid and a coach? I'll try my best to find you one, though it might take some time"

Carl leaned back in his executive chair with a smug grin, stroking his bald head.

"Stop. As long as she can cook simple home-style dishes and do housework, that's enough. Age doesn't matter, but they must have a legal background."

Andy said irritably.

"Then there's no problem. I'll get it done for you as soon as possible. I love America. Here, there's nothing that money can't solve. Also, the deputy editor of '7Teen' magazine wants to meet with you to discuss signing a contract."

Andy reluctantly agreed to a time with Carl. After hanging up the phone, a relieved smile appeared on Carl's chubby face. He hoped this was a good start.

Looking back, he remembered how he shamelessly persuaded Andy to let him be his agent and encouraged him to move to Hollywood, hoping to get more opportunities in the entertainment capital. When he first arrived, he did have a period of great success. He sold the film adaptation rights, signed with a good publisher, and even got into the biggest agency, CCA, thanks to Andy. Everything seemed perfect.

However, Andy hadn't written anything for over a year, and his fame was gradually fading. In Hollywood, if you lose your fame, you'll be quickly forgotten. Watching Andy gradually sink into despair and become addicted to alcohol and women, there was nothing he could do.

Each argument over trying to dissuade him strained their relationship. Although Carl was greedy and shameless, he trusted his judgment. He believed Andy was a genius and that he would make a comeback. Instead of heeding his secretary's advice to abandon Andy, who could no longer bring him financial benefits, he went around helping Andy find suitable work to help him through this difficult period.

Especially recently, Andy, who used to be a headache, has stopped going out and fooling around. He not only updates his blog and maintains his readership, but also writes a lot of texts that are both funny and sad but loved by everyone. His persistence was indeed the right thing to do.

Carl laughed triumphantly, then, on a sudden impulse, pressed the phone. A moment later, a blonde woman in a black office lady suit swayed gracefully as she walked in, casually closing the door behind her. Carl waved his hand with a lewd grin on his face.

"Sweetie, come here to Daddy. Yes yes, kneel right here..."

A rustling sound came from the office, and if you listened carefully, you could also hear a man's heavy breathing.
