Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The pureblooded giant

He died, he was sure of it.

He died while playing a game. Not exactly a good way to go, but it's not like he could have chosen a different death.

He did not remember much of his past life, not even his name. The only thing he remembered was the game he played before his death: Boundless Dominion, shortened to BD. It was a popular MMORPG that took the world by storm with its immersive and realistic world. Players could do almost anything—from becoming powerful adventurers, to becoming the richest player alive simply by trading and creating a monopoly of wealth. One player even became the king of an entire kingdom.

Funnily enough, he did remember his in-game name: Scrooge_Tha_Duck. He didn't really remember what it implied, but in his memory, players loved the name, so it must have been something popular.

But sadly, that was all in the past, and he now found himself in what seemed like an endless void. The only entertainment he had were his memories of the times spent playing BD.

He often tried to remember other parts of his life, but they just wouldn't surface, so eventually he gave up. While pondering BD, like so many times before, he was suddenly startled by a blue window that appeared right before his nonexistent eyes.

STATUS: CONSCIOUSNESS DETECTEDLOCATION: OUTSIDE WORLD INSTANCESTATE: DISINCORPORATED

AWAITING DECISION…

If he could, he would have screamed out of excitement. He was bored in this endless void—that much was clear. Without much hesitation, he immediately chose Option A.

SELECTION CONFIRMED — OPTION A: REBIRTH

Suddenly, he felt something he hadn't felt in years—pressure. Something was moving him within the endless void.

NOTICE:You will no longer exist outside the world.Death will be final.

After reading the final words, he finally, for the first time in an unknown span of time, grew tired and closed his eyes.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Deep inside the Giant Riesen Forest, far from any form of organized civilization, he finally opened his eyes again.

He found himself lying in a grassy field. Surrounding him were weirdly small trees."Ughhh," he groaned, his voice deep and hoarse.

Looking down at his hands surprised him even more. They were gray in tone. He gazed down at the rest of his new body—his entire form shared the same dark gray hue, and he quickly noticed the extreme musculature he now possessed. The only clothing he had was some type of animal skin covering his crotch.

"So… this is me," he muttered.

Slowly, he began to stand, his feet sinking into the wet ground. He flexed his body and moved his arms around. Then, the blue window appeared again.

Race Description — True Giant (Pureblood)

In BD, True Giants are the original giant race, born directly from titan blood rather than diluted giantkin lines.

A Pureblood True Giant matures slowly, but each stage of growth compounds the next. When properly nurtured, they surpass lesser giants in size, strength, and endurance by a wide margin.

Purebloods are exceedingly rare. Most do not survive to full maturity.

Racial Traits:

Pure Giant PhysiologyYour muscles, bones, and organs scale efficiently with growth. Physical damage reduction increases naturally as size increases.

Titanic Growth (Passive)Your growth rate and final size potential exceed those of standard giants. Proper nutrition, rest, and survival accelerate development.

Overwhelming StrengthStrength gains scale higher per level than other races.

Timgar couldn't help but grin widely as he read his status window. He realized he was in the same world he could only remember—Boundless Dominion—as none other than a True Giant.

"All right, but first I have to find out where I am," he spoke to himself, still not used to his unusual voice.

Looking around, he saw a pond nearby, which he quickly walked toward. His heavy body left deep footprints in the ground. Looking at his reflection, he couldn't help but stare in astonishment. He now had long gray hair and uncanny human eyes—strangely, he found them quite pleasing.

"Weird. I don't look like any variant of giants I remember from the game." He paused. "Well, I suppose I never saw a True Giant then," he murmured before walking away from the pond.

Timgar searched the area where he had woken up and soon came to the conclusion that he was in the Giant Riesen Forest. It got its name from the player Riesen_Boy, who loved exploring and stumbled upon it during a large expedition. It was mostly filled with monsters like orcs and other deadly animals. While dangerous, they weren't the worst threat—however, due to the forest's massive size and the time-consuming journey required to reach it, the area was mostly untouched by players and NPCs alike. Still, some barbaric tribes were said to live within it. But usually the only Giant-kin that live in forests like that are Hill-dwellers.

A loud growl from his stomach pulled him out of his rambling thoughts, and a hint of panic appeared on his face.

"How am I supposed to hunt for food!?" He looked at the deep marks he had left in the ground. "I for sure aren't sneaky."

His deep voice carried a hint of anger. Ever since he woke up, he had felt a strange pride within himself—he didn't know whether it came from his past life or his new one.

Suddenly, he heard low whispers in a language he could not decipher.
