Lyra's POV
The training session concluded, and I deliberately stayed behind while Xander gathered the equipment we had been using during class. He glanced at me but continued collecting his materials without comment. Only when the clearing became deserted, with just the two of us remaining, did he finally break the silence.
"While I would thoroughly enjoy pressing you against this ground and exploring every curve of your body with my tongue," he stated matter-of-factly, as if discussing the day's lesson plan, "I respect my role here. Nothing about taking you on this forest floor would be remotely professional."
I fought to keep my imagination from running wild with that image. I gave my head a firm shake to dispel those thoughts.
"That's not what I came to discuss," I replied.
Xander lifted an eyebrow in response. "Your shifting performance was flawless today, and your grade will reflect that excellence. No need for concern."
