Chapter 13 - No More Hiding

The wind in the Azure Nether Cultivation Forest changed.

It was no longer the natural flow of air between ancient trees.

It twisted—as if seized and forcibly turned by an unseen will.

Xiao Xuanyin sensed it instantly.

"They're here."

Not projections.

The real Immortal Realm.

Heavenly Suppression

High above, the clouds split apart.

A golden sigil descended slowly from the sky.

Not an attack.

A seal.

"By the authority of the Immortal Realm Overseers," a cold, resonant voice echoed,"this region's cultivation privileges are hereby sealed."

This was the Immortal Realm's preferred method.

They did not kill you.

They cut your path.

They forced you into a legitimate failure.

Xiao Xuanyin felt the change immediately.

The spiritual energy within his body hesitated—slowing by a single breath.

Just one.

But at higher levels of battle, one breath was fatal.

"They're sealing your combat output," Su Wan said quietly.

She looked up at the sigil.

Her expression showed no panic.

If anything—

She looked disappointed.

"…That's it?"

The voice from above paused.

"Mortal woman. Step back. This matter does not concern you."

Su Wan smiled.

"I think you're a bit late to say that."

The Switch

She raised her phone.

This time—

No concealment.No masking.

The moment the screen lit up—

The entire forest's spiritual flow shifted direction.

Every current of energy realigned.

Every hidden rule adjusted.

[System Authority Switching][Current Mode: Independent Computation][Local Rule Set: Loaded]

The golden sigil froze midair.

As if something had jammed it.

"…Anomaly," the Immortal Realm voice finally wavered."Authority conflict detected?!"

Su Wan nodded calmly.

"Yeah. Your rule set doesn't have admin access here."

She stepped forward.

Her foot landed on empty air—

And yet she stood perfectly stable.

Xiao Xuanyin stared at her.

For the first time, something deep stirred in his gaze.

Not worry.

Confirmation.

He was confirming what stood beside him.

Identification Failure

"Who… are you?" the Immortal Realm finally asked.

Su Wan considered it seriously.

"Technically, I'm a transmigrator."

She shrugged lightly.

"In the mortal world, I manage palace logistics and takeout."

"As for system classification—"

She smiled.

"You can label me as an anomalous source."

She tapped the screen.

[Rule Override: Initiated][Target: Immortal Realm Temporary Suppression Protocol][Status: Rewriting]

The golden sigil began to collapse.

Not shatter—

Rewrite.

The runes reversed.

Reassembled.

Then descended slowly to the ground.

They reformed into a new array.

Xiao Xuanyin looked down.

Only one sentence was engraved within:

"Cultivation within this territory shall prioritize mortal order."

The Immortal Realm fell completely silent.

For the first time—

That voice hesitated.

"Do you understand what you're doing?"

Su Wan looked up, her tone light.

"I do."

"I'm informing you that his cultivation is not a privilege you granted."

"And you don't get to decide whether it continues."

Variable Unleashed

The sky returned to normal.

The clouds sealed shut.

As if nothing had happened.

But Xiao Xuanyin knew—

From this moment on, the Immortal Realm could no longer treat him as a controllable variable.

The small white spirit beast crept closer, trembling slightly.

"…Ao?"

—Was that a bit too intense?

Su Wan crouched and patted its head.

"Relax."

"They won't flip the table yet."

"Because they still don't know how far I can go—or how much I can overwrite."

She looked toward the horizon.

Immortal Realm · Panic

Far away, upon the jade platforms—

The Star Disc spun violently.

The marker representing the Emperor could no longer be locked.

As for Su Wan's—

It displayed only one result:

UNABLE TO PARSE

"She's not a cultivator. Not an immortal. What is she?!"

No one answered.

Only the silent figure spoke softly:

"Perhaps… she is the origin point of a new system."

Side by Side

Back in the Azure Nether Forest.

Xiao Xuanyin looked at Su Wan.

"You knew this would happen."

She nodded.

"More or less. That's why I had you sell pills, govern steadily, and stabilize public faith."

"As long as the mortal world grows stronger without chaos—"

"The Immortal Realm can't touch you."

Xiao Xuanyin fell silent for a long time.

Then—

He performed a formal bow.

Not the bow of an emperor.

Not the salute of a cultivator.

But the gesture of an equal walking the same road.

"From now on," he said solemnly,"we walk this path together."

Su Wan laughed.

"Of course."

"You're my long-term bound project, after all."

Foreshadowing

Deep within the forest—

A dangerous presence stirred.

Something that did not rely on rules.

Something untouched by systems.

And this time—

Even Su Wan's screen flickered faintly.

The true chaos—

Was beginning to wake.
