The drops of rain pattering against the shop roof were strangely calming
Aeris slowly removed his mask
His silver eyes met Yuri's without hesitation
Yuri didn't blink. He stared, unflinching
Yuri POV
His silver eyes…
Glossy red lips…
He looks like the moon… so gorgeous.
I feel like I've felt his presence before…
His eyes… they look like the ones I've been searching for
Aeris tilted his head slightly
"Yuri…?"
Yuri smiled politely
"Yes."
Aeris glanced at him, concern in his voice
"You're wet too… you'll catch a cold."
Yuri blinked, as if just realizing it
"Ah… right."
Silence stretched between them.Their eyes met
Aeris reached into the inside pocket of his coat and pulled out a small book. He opened it carefully, revealing a pen already tucked inside.
Yuri looked at the book curiously.
Aeris picked up the pen and began writing something
Yuri glanced at him
"What are you doing?"
Aeris blinked, caught off guard
"Oh… that's… it," he stammered, hesitating for a moment
Yuri remained calm, patient, his eyes soft and unwavering
Aeris felt a strange warmth spread through him—comfort he had never felt before
His fingers fidgeted with the edges of the book.
"I have a problem… a really serious one."
Yuri stayed calm, his expression gentle and steady
Aeris swallowed
"If I sleep… I'll forget everything that happened today. Everything. My doctor said it's from an accident. When I woke up in the hospital… I realized I'd lost all my past memories too. And each day resets when I sleep."
He opened the book and showed it to Yuri
"I write everything down—even this. If I lose this… I won't remember anything."
Yuri's eyes darkened slightly, a painful expression flashing across his face
He blinked slowly, swallowing the words he didn't want to speak
Yuri POV
He's been carrying this alone…
Not only is his condition like that… he told me everything and still managed to smile
God… how much he has suffered
Yuri clenched his chest, a deep ache stabbing through him
Damn… it hurts
Aeris tilted his head, silver eyes searching
"Yuri…"
Yuri couldn't bring himself to look into Aeris' eyes.
He turned away slightly
"Do you… have anyone with you?" he asked quietly
Aeris shook his head
"No."
He managed to smile, though it was clear the answer hurt him
Yuri bit his lip
"More than your condition…" his voice softened, "you've been going through all of this alone."
Aeris smiled faintly.
"Yes."
Yuri hesitated, then asked calmly, even though his heart shattered
"What if one day you lose the notebook? What will your life be like then?"
Aeris looked down
"It wouldn't really make a difference."
He paused before adding softly,
"Whether I have it or not… the only thing I always feel is—"
_ "Emptiness"_
A painful chuckle escaped his lips
A tear slipped down Yuri's cheek
