Chapter 1 - Billionaire Gamer

Orion taps on the button rapidly, eyes darting from one part of the screen to another, his gaze was absolutely focused, this was his chance to win, in one practiced move, and Bam!

He won the game.

Yes, Orion muttered adjusting his ear phones and staring at his screen blissfully, he'd finally won the first stage of the tournament.

His smile abruptly changed to a frown, recalling what is the other members of the board as said.

His stood, fists clenched tightly, teeth gritting, he was originally a game developer who worked on creating a game till some industry recruited him and bought part of the game. It all went well for a few years.

It became one of the world most played games, and now, Orion himself was a billionaire, soon the industry started taking decisions he didn't like on the game.

Shit! He yelled, tossing his head phones out the window just a few meters beside him, he heaved a sigh, peering at the outskirts of the window, the rain was falling heavily, heavily enough for him to notice it on the top floor of his thirteen foot mansion.

Strange, Orion echoed, rain had been falling continuously for a while now and he himself felt something bad was going to happen soon just very soon. He turned to leave his main game quarters, heading down to his kitchen for imported meals.

When he arrived there on the fourth floor of the gigantic building, just as he'd expected, various chefs had began waiting for him, trays and plates lined up in each of their hands, they all stood in an horizontal line, their head tipped to the ground a bit, dressed in the familiar chef outfit.

Orion sat on the couch just right at the front of them, he waved his hands, signally for the first one to come, the first chef walked forward, in a practiced motion,

Orion holding his fork readily in his hands, took a taste from the meal then crunched it in his mouth, he savoured in the delicacy of what he ate.

Just like he expected, it was loveable, he smiled signalling for the next one, after three more tries, Orion finally chose one from the twelve chefs and dispersed away from the section with a plate in his hand and gladness in his tongue. He went towards the ground floor, through one of the elevator to the replica room he'd built exactly like his former room, back when he was still broke.

He entered the room, smiling as he stared at the frame he hanged on the wall, he gazed at the name forged in the middle, war amongst all breeds, it was the name of the world loving game, based on one of the fantasy stories he's written just when he was a child, he hadn't expected much from it, butit eventually turned out really different.

He chuckled, walking to the side and switching on the air conditioner, he quickly gulped the rest of the delicious food, and walked towards the bed, he felt more comfortable sleeping there, as he laid on the bed he recalled what tomorrow was going to be about, there was going to be a meeting that'll determine one of their latest changes to the game , which he felt might do more harm than good.

Orion stretched on the bed, mindlessly turning on the lamp just on the left and going to sleep immediately.

The next day, Orion sat in the closed office on the twenty fourth section of a large building, his elbows on the table, his hand supporting his jaw, any minute now, the muttered to himself, he was a owner, yet an employee and decision maker in the company after all and no one had a problem with it.

A great idea, suddenly appeared in orion's mind, what if I quit? Yes? That is it. If he quits that could open a whole new chapter, and without him the one that led the whole company to the level they are right now their stock rate and fan base would crash slowly but surely.

They'd have to beg him to come back eventually, to help them in making their company rise to the top again. That's a start he said to himself, taking a glance at the huge transparent walls of the building.

Ran still fell, the storks gathering greatly and even was than yesterday's storm, despicable, Orion commented, eyes squinted.

It was then his personal secretary walked into the office, yes bree, sir the owners and board of directors meeting is about to start now. Alright Orion confirmed with a little smile the dismissed the secretary.

There'll be nothing wrong in attending the meeting first then he could afterwards resign, he stood strutted down the room and took the inbuilt elevator in the walls down to the board meeting room, he was the last to approach, the meeting lasted for about thirty minutes.

Orion came out of the meeting with a sore heart, the managers agreed to all the ideas the board of directors presented to even some that were way worse than the former, Orion had know choice, who was to say no when seven other people said yes, it'll always resort on some sort of argument and he himself had become tired of those, he accepted his gate wpsked out of the meeting room when he was done, he'd recently collected his share so he went to the personnel department and resigned.

Without much fuss he stepped out of he building, freedom filled his mind, I'm free he spoke joyfully.

Two umbrellas were held closely to his head, the rain still fell continuously he stepped into the luxurious car that waited for him, in the car, Orion could see various messages spam his phone from both his friends and colleagues, not that he didn't own the company anymore, that wasn't it, he just couldn't work there and now they'll come back begging him to return.

As the sky whizzed off, lighting flashed in the sky, not Blue or slight pink but thick red, scattered like branches piercing through the sky and declaring a new dawn.
