Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Fusion

James' first instinct wasn't to panic.

It was to check.

His eyes flickered open with system light.

He immediately opened his Designated Summon skill.

Two names were still there.

[Martis — Active Contracted Entity]

[Sampon — Active Contracted Entity]

Both present.

Both bound.

James exhaled quietly.

"They're not gone…"

Ark looked at him. "What?"

James closed the window slowly.

"They didn't disappeared. They left."

Ark frowned. "Left? Why?"

James' voice lowered slightly.

"…They're sneaking around."

Ark blinked. "Sneaking around for what?"

James didn't answer immediately.

"…I don't know yet."

---

Above them, the angel cleared his throat softly.

"As a result of the early awakening…"

The angel's wings shifted slightly in the air.

"Other planets will now join Earth."

Silence fell.

Then—

Confusion exploded.

"What do you mean other planets?!" "Aliens?!" "Another Earth?!"

James' brows furrowed.

Ark looked equally confused.

"Other planets…?"

The angel smiled gently.

"By planets, I mean civilizations."

"Players."

"Like you."

"But from other universes. Other galaxies."

The crowd fell quieter.

"You do not even know," the angel continued calmly, "whether humans truly belong only to this Earth in this universe."

A chill ran through the field.

The angel's tone became more structured.

"The Three-Tailed Fox will descend in 24 hours."

"It will appear at midnight."

"Therefore, you may rest now."

His smile curved slightly.

"Prepare yourselves."

Suddenly—

A massive system screen appeared in the sky.

Larger than the previous announcements.

Bolder.

Brighter.

[Initiating Fusion — 2 Universes Players]

The ground trembled slightly.

Far across the greenland—

A ripple formed in space.

Then—

People appeared.

Thousands.

Millions.

Billions.

Just like Earth's humans had.

They stood on the opposite side of the vast field.

Staring back.

The timer appeared above the sky.

[23:59:59]

But almost no one looked at it.

Everyone was staring at the other side.

They looked human.

But different.

Different clothing.

Different posture.

Different aura.

Whispers turned into shouting.

"They're like us—" "Are they enemies?!" "Can we attack them?!" "Are they stronger?!"

Chaos spread from both sides.

Panic.

Confusion.

Fear of the unknown.

The greenland that once held one world—

Now held two.

---

Far from the Chaos

Away from the noise.

Far from the screaming.

Two figures stood calmly on a quiet hill.

Martis.

Sampon.

They looked down at the field below.

Martis' eyes were fixed on the angel hovering in the sky.

"…Annoying."

Sampon glanced at him. "The angel?"

Martis didn't answer immediately.

Instead, he asked, "Have you ever seen an angel before?"

Sampon paused.

"…Almost."

Martis looked at him slightly.

"I only reached the ■■■■■■■ Zone."

Martis' gaze returned to the sky.

"After the ■■■■■■■ Zone, Angels and more other creatures will appear on the ■■■■■■■■■ Zone."

"Angels belong to the ■■■■■■■■■ Zone."

"They're around Level 80,000 beings."

Sampon froze.

"Level… eighty thousand?"

Martis' voice remained calm.

"They're weak."

Sampon stared at him.

"Weak? You just said eighty thousand!"

Martis shrugged slightly.

"They're insects that float around lower realms. Messengers. Observers."

Sampon slowly turned toward Martis.

"If an angel is an insect to you…"

He narrowed his eyes.

"…What's your real level?"

Martis smirked.

But didn't answer.

Instead, his gaze sharpened slightly at the sky.

"I should kill it."

Sampon blinked. "Kill— what?"

"The angel."

Martis' voice was flat.

"It irritates me."

Sampon stared at him for a long second.

Then his lips slowly curved.

"You just don't want it interfering with James."

Martis didn't respond.

Sampon continued teasingly.

"You're worried it might interfere with his plans."

Still silence.

Sampon grinned wider.

"You're protecting him again."

Martis' red pupils shifted toward Sampon.

Cold.

Sharp.

Dangerously serious.

But he didn't deny it.

And below them—

Two universes prepared to collide.
