Only a fool would fall for vampires.
Their uncontrollable thirst for blood and power. Their eternal beauty. All factors that the human race of the Veldor kingdoms undoubtedly despises.
I do too.
At least that is what I had thought… before falling in love with two of them.
My eyes are glued to the two kneeling men at my feet, both unwilling to let go of my hand. The golden-haired one's blue glacial eyes are glassy and downturned, pleading, like a puppy, as his kisses trail up the length of my arm.
"Please choose me, Mor."
He whimpers, tears on the verge of spilling.
"I can't live without you."
The other is the complete opposite. His sleep-deprived cat eyes glare up at me, a mixture of need and hatred. He grumbles as though he dislikes it, but his firm, unyielding gaze and grip tell me otherwise.
"Petal, you leave my side, you die."
He says firmly, voice hoarse.
"Leave me, and I'll bring your empire to ash."
His fangs extend, and he nips my wrist, making me wince.
"Leave me, and I'll search every inch of our war-torn world to find you, and when I do… You'll never leave my side. You'll turn to bones before you ever choose the leave me again."
I was meant to bring them down.
Not to allow them into my heart.
But here I am, unable to choose which one of them I love the most or least, and no matter how much I try to ignore it.
I couldn't get the thought of escaping out of my head.
"Which one of us do you choose?" They both question at the same time voices in sync.
"I..."
I stammer, unable to come up with an answer.
"I don't know..."
Goldie rises, hands reaching, titling my head to his direction with his index.
"Then, I am not to abandon your side until you chose me."
He relies me in, and I am halted in my pursuit of a kiss, by the others. His long extended talons digging into my nape as he tugs me back. his lips grazing my ear.
"I will not allow you to fall for anyone else besides me, even if my hatred burns for humans I'll extinguish it for you."
He whispers.
