On the eastern edge of the Amazon rainforest stood a massive creature, 62 meters tall, resembling a giant flying ant.
This monster, originally a swarm of termites mutated by unknown energy, had been rampaging through the rainforest. Unexpectedly, under the influence of the Chaos Header, all the mutated termites fused into one, becoming the Great Feathered Ant Monster—Arindow.
Already infected by mysterious energy and now bolstered by the Chaos Header, Arindow's strength reached a terrifying level, bordering on Class S+.
Despite being only one monster, Arindow's presence resulted in the total defeat of the junior students from the Imperial Academy. Simultaneously, it caused the South American TPC Headquarters to lose a large number of trainees participating in the exercise; they were currently locked in a desperate struggle alongside the South American GUTS team.
The South American TPC actually shared a similar mindset with Lin Jing. The swarm originally numbered over ten thousand, with most at Class D and the strongest at Class C, but then the Chaos Header intervened. The remaining third of the swarm fused together, becoming the current Arindow with an energy level of S+.
It was fortunate that the cleanup was relatively fast; otherwise, the South American high command believed Arindow's strength might not have stopped at S+, but reached SS.
One must realize that at the SS level, there are only nine TPC reserve personnel globally. South America only had one, who was currently guarding a spatial tunnel. Although many tunnels worldwide had been destroyed, some simply could not be closed for unknown reasons. Thus, powerful experts had to be stationed there; a Class SS Monster Merger was the best choice for the task.
The situation in the Amazon was dire. A seven-member GUTS team had already been defeated. Fortunately, reinforcements from the South American Headquarters arrived just in time—a Class S+ GUTS captain had reached the scene.
At the foot of Mount Everest, the situation was relatively stable. The students from Italy, Russia, and China were facing a Class S Red King. While this energy level was formidable, they were capable enough to handle it.
However, the Diaoyu Islands were now in peril. Originally, there was only a group of ordinary giant turtle monsters with energy levels around Class C. But the Chaos Header had somehow brought forth King Tortoise and Queen Tortoise, two monsters whose strength infinitely approached SS. China was already preparing to deploy a Class SS GUTS captain.
With two Class SS powerhouses in China, they were still able to dispatch a rescue team.
In the Tengger Desert, only one Class S Chaos Antlar remained. This Antlar was now no weaker than the Red King at Mount Everest. Having seemingly absorbed the life energy of the Antlar colony, its energy level had risen from the initial S to S-. (Ranking: S, S-, S+, SS)
On the sand, Lithra, fused with Qin Yuxin, had already been beaten back to her original form. The battle was now a solitary duel between Chaos Antlar and Ultraman Cosmos.
While Chaos Antlar was Class S-, Cosmos—having just touched upon his latent power—had seen his energy rise to Class A+. There was still a significant gap compared to Class S energy. Yet, faced with this disparity, Cosmos showed no cowardice; instead, he took the initiative. Even though his Color Timer was flashing, the Chaos Antlar currently had no way to overcome him.
Antlar stopped using the lightning from its horn and instead opened its mouth to spit out spheres of energy manifested from magnetic fields. Seeing this, Cosmos thrust out his hands to raise a Luna Barrier. After blocking all of the Chaos Antlar's attacks, he shoved the barrier forward.
The Full Moon energy, combined with the Chaos Antlar's own reflected attacks, caused its internal magnetic field to fluctuate wildly, rendering it unable to move for a moment.
Luna Extract.
"Hoh~~~"
"Heng—"
Cosmos slowly raised his palms, extending his arms to both sides to release Full Moon energy before converting it into a gentle beam from his right hand. The beam transformed into countless light particles that flew toward the immobilized Chaos Antlar, enveloping it.
The Full Moon energy entered the Chaos Antlar's interior and began to clash with the Chaos virus. At this moment, the monster's body showed a clear state of flux, shifting back and forth between a normal Antlar and a Chaos Antlar.
"What is Ye Feng doing? That attack doesn't look like it has any power," Lu Bai muttered, momentarily confused. He didn't understand what Cosmos was up to, but judging by the monster's reaction, the move seemed powerful.
Qin Yuxin, having witnessed something similar once before, explained: "Ye Feng's move seems capable of separating that cluster of light from the monster. He's likely trying to split their power."
The explanation made Lu Bai, Lin Fei, and the others nod in a daze. They turned their heads back, eager to see how it would play out.
The power of Luna Extract continued to flow over the Chaos Antlar. Perhaps because the Chaos virus had absorbed too much life energy, the two seemed to have fused into a single entity that could not be separated.
"Ding-dong, ding-dong! Ding-dong, ding-dong!"
As the Full Moon energy continued to release, the timer on his chest flashed frantically. His energy was nearly depleted.
'Is there no other way?'
Hearing the frantic alarm of the timer, Ye Feng knew he could no longer disperse the Chaos virus.
'I'm sorry.'
After all, this was a colony, and now only this one remained. Ye Feng's original intention was to drive out the Chaos virus and leave Antlar's body intact, but that no longer seemed possible.
This worked out regardless; while the Full Moon energy struggled with the Chaos virus, the Chaos Antlar was temporarily paralyzed.
Retracting the Luna Extract, Cosmos slowly moved his right hand toward his ear. Full Moon energy began to condense in his palm, forming a shimmering orb of light.
Moonlight Smash.
A Full Moon ray streaked out. At this moment, the Chaos Antlar was still struggling internally, completely unaware of the approaching doom.
This time, Cosmos increased the energy output to destroy the Chaos virus along with the monster. This was exactly why he had used Luna Extract first—to pin the enemy down. If he hadn't, what if the virus escaped like it did before?
"ROAR~~~"
As the Full Moon energy poured into its body, the Chaos Header sensed the impending danger and tried to flee the vessel. But this time, Cosmos' primary target was the virus itself; it had nowhere to run. Combined with the lingering effects of the Luna Extract, escaping was proving extremely difficult for the Chaos Header.
Soon, cracks emitting blue light appeared all over the Chaos Antlar's body. In the next instant, its entire form exploded!
"BOOM!!!"
A sound like a thunderclap echoed through the desert, causing everyone to instinctively cover their ears. They now had a much deeper understanding of Ye Feng's method of victory. After all, they didn't have any finishing beams; they usually had to beat monsters to death. If they were lucky, they'd leave a corpse that was two-thirds intact. If not, they'd leave a mangled mess. But Ye Feng seemed even more brutal than them—he blew the monster into smithereens!
After eliminating the last Antlar, Cosmos vigilantly scanned the surroundings. Once he confirmed there were no other monsters or traces of the Chaos Header, his body emitted a dazzling blue light.
The fifty-meter blue giant dissolved into light particles. From the center of the forehead, a cluster of light flew out and landed in front of Qin Yuxin and the others. As the light faded, Ye Feng's slightly exhausted figure appeared before them.
Seeing this, Qin Yuxin hurried over to support him, but Lu Bai and Lin Fei stepped up as well, getting to Ye Feng first to hold him up.
"I say... I haven't quite reached the point where I need you guys to carry me, okay?" Ye Feng spoke with a helpless smile on his tired face.
Even though this was only his second transformation, it felt much better than the first time. Moreover, back then, he had been recklessly wasting energy at the end. He was much more controlled this time; otherwise, a year of training would have been for nothing.
"That won't do. You took down the strongest one. If it weren't for you, we might not have made it out alive," Lin Fei countered bluntly, stating the plain truth.
The faces of the other nearby students flickered with mixed emotions upon hearing this, their minds racing. While it was the truth—Lin Fei, do you really have nothing better to do than rub it in?!
