I was standing in front of a room, having just come back from checking things on the Lands Between. It had been quite the journey, to say the least. After who knows how long of fighting my way through the lands, obtaining Great Runes of the Elden Ring, I was able to defeat the Elden Beast and basically complete the Quest that I, a Tarnished, was tasked to do so.
But things did not turn out like one would think or expected.
Instead of the Age of Order, as one would normally expect the next Elden Lord to bring forth, I brought forth the Age of Stars. I served Ranni, who promised me great things in return of helping her end the reign of the Greater Will. And that is what happened, I made Ranni the new God of the Era and became her Consort, as she had promised.
My name is Aelar and I am not in this world. I was reincarnated from my own world, brought forth to the Lands Between and bestowed a System that aided me in my quest to become Elden Lord. With that System, I became a being with great power, taking on all kinds of challenging and defeating great foes such as Radahn, Rykard, and Malenia. I even got to defeat Godfrey and Radagon, who were great figures of this world's history.
But that is not the point at the moment. The point is that I have done what Ranni wished for me to do and bring forth the Age of Stars, her Age. She would bring forth peace and tranquility, giving everyone a sense of freedom that will be unlike the Greater Will's clutches.
But she said that it would take some time for that to truly begin, almost like a lag. I don't know what that will mean for us and the Lands Between, but I know that her Age is upon us and is inevitable.
And here I was, standing in front of the door.
I cleared my throat, "Ranni." I called out, knocking on the door, "I am outside."
I heard nothing but silence at first, which was very eerie. This was a room in a tower that Ranni had constructed. I didn't know why she would want to create a mundane tower that would keep her anchored to the physical world, seeing that she wished to ascend to Godhood and to the divine planes; her words not mine.
"Come on in, Aelar." I heard her calm and serene voice
I opened the door and walked inside, seeing that she was sitting at the edge of her bed. She was wearing her usual attire, consisting of her white dress and fur cape. Her large witch's hat was set aside, exposing her doll head as well as her second spectral head. The moonlight shining through the window caused her doll's body to glow, the blue skin on her shining quite beautifully.
"My Champion." She said with a slight smile, "My Tarnished. My Consort."
I nodded, "You wished to see me?"
