The full moon rose bright and enormous over the pack grounds. It looked bigger than I had ever seen it before. Perfect and round and glowing with silver light that made everything look magical.
I stood in front of the mirror in our bedroom, wearing a white dress made especially for the mating rites. The fabric was soft and flowing and made me feel beautiful. My hair was braided with small white flowers woven through it. I looked like a proper Luna.
"You look perfect," Urdon said from behind me.
I turned and saw him standing in the doorway. He was wearing traditional ceremonial robes in deep red with gold symbols stitched across the chest. He looked like an Alpha. Strong and confident, and handsome.
"You look perfect too," I said. My voice came out shaky because I was nervous.
"Are you ready for this?" Urdon asked. He came over and took my hands. "Ready to renew our bond in front of the entire pack."
