Freda Pov
I walked through the pack house the next morning and noticed something was different. Pack members who had been avoiding my eyes for weeks were now smiling at me. Real, genuine smiles that reached their eyes.
"Good morning, Luna," an omega said as she passed me in the hallway. "Beautiful day, is it not."
"It is," I agreed. "Very beautiful."
Another omega came up to me with a tray of fresh bread. "Would you like some Luna?" she asked. "I just baked it this morning."
"Thank you," I said. I took a piece, and it was still warm. "This smells amazing."
"I am glad you like it," the omega said. She smiled and went on her way.
I kept walking, and more pack members greeted me warmly. It was such a change from how things had been. When the curse was active, everyone had treated me like I was poison, like I was bringing bad luck to the pack. Now they were treating me like their Luna again.
"The curse really is broken," I said softly to myself.
