"Are you okay?"

At the edge of the Forbidden Forest, Basil walked over to Draco, who was sitting alone under a tree.

Draco didn't want to look up. But for some reason, his inner bitterness was swept away after the visitor's arrival.

Looking up, he saw it was Basil Granger.

He hesitated and said, "I remember you have a grudge against our family."

"But Lucius Malfoy is dead." Basil sat next to Draco.

It was time for some early "father-son bonding."

Basil casually made up a reason, "Besides, Sirius and I are friends."

"It's strange, I'm actually not angry. It makes sense, my father wronged you." Draco smiled bitterly. "Maybe it's retribution."

"It's ridiculous, my father died at the hands of the person he revered the most."

"And the one who helped us was Albus Dumbledore, whom we looked down upon and regarded as an enemy."

"Why don't you celebrate with them? It's a long-awaited victory for Gryffindor."

Basil shrugged. "I don't like Quidditch that much."

"Besides, it's too dangerous for a young wizard to be near the Forbidden Forest alone."

"Especially when this young wizard is depressed and might have special feelings about the Forbidden Forest."

"You're worried I'll go into the forest to find the place where my father died?" Draco frowned. "What's wrong with you? I'm a Slytherin."

"But we are all Hogwarts students." Basil revealed a loving gaze.

Draco felt creeped out and stood up quickly, as if sitting on a branding iron. "Fine, fine, I'll go, okay?"

Then he walked away without looking back.

"Hey! Don't go, let's talk some more."

Draco's pace quickened.

"Yesterday was your birthday, want me to give you a belated gift?"

Draco started trotting.

Crack, borrowing Basil's authority, Riddle appeared nearby carrying a suitcase.

Basil turned his head, his gaze landing on him.

Riddle lowered his head and said softly, "My Lord, regarding the meeting with Narcissa, when do you plan to arrange it?"

Basil sighed. "Let's postpone it. Little Draco isn't used to getting along with his dad yet."

"Today is June 6th, Saturday. Exam results come out next week."

"The End-of-Term Feast (also called the Leaving Feast) is on the evening of Sunday the 14th."

"The next day, the Hogwarts Express leaves for London. Most teachers and students will leave Hogwarts for the summer holidays. (In the novel, first-year Harry attended the feast first, then received his grades later. This might be related to Quirrell dying before grading exams. Also because Harry fell into a coma after Quirrell's death, delaying the departure. But in this timeline, Quirrell graded the homework before dying, so the holiday follows the normal schedule)."

"There is plenty of time, two whole weeks."

"Meeting Narcissa, just pick any time during these days, right?"

"After all, my plan was to go to the other world after getting home, which is the day after the evening of June 15th."

"That was my initial thought."

"Another world! Unless that world corresponds to a novel, movie, or anime I've seen. Comparing differences directly according to the 'original work'."

"Otherwise, searching for components that have turned into unknown forms in a complete world is like finding a needle in a haystack."

"If I can't return before finding the component..."

"I might spend a lot of time there."

"Only relying on death to return to the city (respawn)."

"And this is a relatively good scenario. If I end up in a world with vastly different laws and structures... will my form remain intact?"

"If it's a world like Lord of the Rings, where the Creator God constantly watches the Music, i.e., the development of the entire world... can I really not die? Can I successfully return after death?"

"What if the world I travel to is directly a dream of the Creator God?"

"If it's a world like Shushan, where the secrets of heaven are as strict as a net, and even breathing has karma, I'm afraid I'll be grabbed by a big hand as soon as I cross over."

"Thinking lightly, even without a high-and-mighty god watching everything... attacks on the soul aren't rare in the myriad worlds. I might very well end up in a world with such means."

"These are the reasons why I haven't started the journey to another world even though I've had thirty thousand Gems for a long time."

"Fear lingers deep in my heart, preventing me from thinking rationally."

"Daring not to take a step forward."

"With the help of [Obsidian Shadow], I reviewed everything and examined those ridiculous thoughts in my heart."

"The system voice said [Link Parallel World] changed to [Neighboring World Traverse]."

"[Neighboring World Traverse] refers to similar elements. So, the energy level, customs, and structure of the world I travel to won't be too different."

"I'm just worrying unnecessarily."

"So—"

Riddle lowered his head even further. "So, you are preparing to cross over now. To avoid long nights fraught with dreams."

Basil nodded.

"By the way, are you sure that I return at the same time point I left?"

Riddle: "Certain."

Basil: "Then—start."

He spread his hands, and dazzling blue light burst forth.

A black leather book appeared in his hand.

Riddle turned into a phantom and was sucked into it.

Basil had a thought.

Gems: 102,945.487 (—30,000)

The system's mechanical voice sounded.

[Bzzzt... Bzzzt... Magic Book unfolding]

The black cover cracked, revealing a bright yellow gemstone with a cobalt blue clock inside.

[Time Gate activating... Spacetime wave released... Searching]

Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock.

The clock began to turn.

In the mental image of the edge of the Forbidden Forest at Hogwarts, a blue gate of light appeared.

After withdrawing another batch of gold from the Lestrange vault...

Basil's figure vanished from the spot.

Previously, he could only enter the world in his mind as a consciousness, but now Basil appeared physically.

This gate of light seemed to blur the boundary between virtual and real.

With his arrival, the ticking of the clock began to slow, and the silver light floating at the edge of the light gate gradually converged.

[World locked, Time Gate stable, enter?]

Lifting the suitcase into the illusory world with him, Basil's figure dissolved into the light gate.

Nothing special.

Just like stepping from one room into another.

No spinning world, no blacking out.

Nor was his body crushed and reassembled.

What appeared in front of Basil was a tunnel composed of blue light.

Touching it felt like pressing on the surface of a balloon.

But walking on it made a clatter-clatter sound.

Of course, Basil didn't actually need to take steps.

He only discovered after a few steps that the floor moved forward on its own. It was ignored because it was made of the same material as the ceiling and walls, had no seams, and the forward movement felt almost push-less.

After advancing for about 10 minutes.

A voice like a movie narration lingered in Basil's ears.

"Long ago, two powerful wizard brothers founded a school to maintain the balance between Good and Evil in the fairy tale world. The brothers shared power peacefully forever, but things are often unpredictable."

A picture began to appear in the front, also glowing with blue light.

It showed two dark-skinned men, wearing red and blue robes respectively. Judging by their appearance, they were twins.

Only the man in the red robe seemed to have a sexual orientation different from the norm, looking flamboyant, with scarlet eyeshadow and shiny black lipstick.

"So, the similar element is a Magic Academy?"

"The School for Good and Evil? The place where the descendants of heroes and villains in fairy tales go to school?"

"Seems to be a bad movie? One of those politically correct movies?"
