Chapter 60 - Chapter 60: Diagon Alley, London

"Harry, what are you doing?"

On Sunday morning, Basil, who had slept in for the first time in a while, saw Harry sitting at the central hexagonal table, writing with a quill.

Had he transmigrated again? Since when did Harry love studying so much?

Harry turned his head, looking puzzled. "Ordering Christmas presents."

"Christmas presents?" Basil was confused at first, then slammed his hand on the bed. "Right, how could I forget? I just woke up and thought you were doing homework."

Harry realized, "You're still groggy. We didn't get any extra homework for this break; I finished the previous assignments ages ago."

Ten minutes later, Basil left the dormitory, claiming he was going out for breakfast.

In fact, he had completely forgotten about giving Christmas presents.

So much for his vow not to be scatterbrained anymore after getting [Veritaserum Connoisseur]—a slap in the face.

Which meant he had to sort out gifts for all his friends within the day.

He breathed a sigh of relief. Activating [Hogsmeade Village] hadn't been useless after all.

He closed his eyes. Several items, wrapping paper, and ribbons vanished from [Zonko's Joke Shop] and [Honeydukes] into thin air. In their place, the corresponding Sickles and Knuts appeared.

The items materialized in the Chamber of Secrets.

"Riddle, have Lala arrange to mail these," he said, pulling out a piece of parchment and scribbling down several names.

After the parchment vanished from his hand.

He rubbed his chin and thought, "Gifts for the casual friends are sorted. Now for Hermione, Harry, and Old Tom from Diagon Alley?"

Ron wasn't exactly a casual friend.

But Ron was very proud; whatever level of gift you gave him, he felt compelled to give a gift of the same level in return.

So, giving him some candy was fine.

"Hmm, I need to change my clothes too."

Gems: 30,153.835 (-80)

[Gladrags Wizardwear] activated.

From a neatly arranged rack, a winter robe—cream-colored with silver trim, combining cloak and robe in one—vanished into thin air.

Two Galleons appeared in mid-air and clinked onto the table of the dozing shopkeeper.

After changing into the winter robe, the only thing left was how to get to Diagon Alley.

That was simple too—[Floo Network].

There were fireplaces connected to [Diagon Alley] as well. He didn't need to go to the Leaky Cauldron, so he didn't have to worry about being recognized by Old Tom.

Although the [Floo Network] kept usage records, it didn't record who the user was.

At this moment, the fireplace inside the house labeled [The Hengist Family House] was deserted.

The glittering Floo Powder in a silver basin proved it was connected to the network.

A minute later.

The flames in the fireplace turned green and roared up.

"Diagon Alley!" Basil stepped into the green fire.

Beside a winding, snow-covered cobblestone street with no end in sight, a stone fireplace suddenly turned green and flared up.

A small figure, face hidden in a hood, stepped out.

The pedestrians coming and going on the cobblestones didn't spare a glance.

To them, it was just another person coming to shop in Diagon Alley via the Floo Network.

Even being short wasn't strange; wizards with goblin blood were usually shorter.

The figure was Basil. Still eleven years old, his body hadn't filled out yet.

He stood frozen on the spot for a moment.

Because that familiar mechanical voice rang out again.

[Bzzzt... Location: Diagon Alley, London activated.]

The world in his mind expanded again, extending from [Hogsmeade Station] along the train tracks to cover all of London, including the magical world behind the [Leaky Cauldron].

His range of activity and invincibility had increased again.

From now on, in London, dragons would have to coil up and tigers lie down before him.

London was the seat of the British government, for both the Muggle and Wizarding worlds.

The British Muggle Prime Minister's office was at 10 Downing Street.

The British Ministry of Magic headquarters was underground near a telephone booth by Westminster tube station.

Notably, London also had a [Gladrags Wizardwear].

[Wool's Orphanage] where Voldemort grew up, [St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries], the Black family ancestral home at [12 Grimmauld Place], and Hermione's house were all in London.

But unfortunately, because Netease's game updates were too slow, the London map had never been released.

So, only these buildings in Diagon Alley were lit up.

[Mystery Shop]

[Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions]

[Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes]

[Gringotts Wizarding Bank]

[Owl Post Office]

[Ollivanders]

[Quality Quidditch Supplies]

Among them, [Ollivanders] was different from the game; it was at the end of Diagon Alley.

And the [Mystery Shop] and [Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes] could only be entered consciously.

Because the [Mystery Shop] didn't exist in reality, and [Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes] hadn't been established yet. Since Fred was still alive, the shop's exterior statue likely wouldn't be him tipping his hat.

Entering [Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes] consciously.

Inside, there really was a tall, thin version of George Weasley with only his right ear.

Upon entering, three data bars appeared in the upper right corner of his vision.

Galleons: 1743

Sickles: 2348

Knuts: 7883

Crap! It actually tallied up his current assets, including what was in Gringotts.

Information in his mind told him that he could spend real currency to obtain interesting products from [Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes] that hadn't been invented yet, like [Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder], [Daydream Charms], [Canary Creams], [Love Potions], [Skiving Snackboxes], [Fever Fudge], [Extendable Ears], [U-No-Poo], [Edible Dark Marks], [Shield Hats], etc.

After targeting my Gems, the game is now targeting my real money?

Wallet in danger!!!

But unfortunately, the [Mystery Shop] parked on the street only had that hateful puppet shopkeeper and his seemingly full cart.

But upon opening it, his shelves were empty, perhaps due to the missing [Fashion Component] and [Forbidden Forest Component].

Keep in mind, some [Outfits], [Wand Skins], [Card Skins], and beddings came from the wheel on the shelf.

Although the game account he transmigrated with was a max-whale account, what if this system updated?

He wouldn't be able to draw for new items.

Good news: Don't need to worry about running out of Gems.

Bad news: Can't spin the wheel.

He could only vent his anger by casting ten Killing Curses on it.

[Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions] was the same.

There should have been [Outfits] for direct purchase and a magic mirror to change [Eye Color], [Eye Makeup], [Face Shape], [Skin Tone], [Earrings], [Glasses], [Hats], and [Clothes].

But there wasn't.

However, after entering [Ollivanders], clicking on the '...' above Ollivander's head (which only he could see), and choosing to buy a wand, he could actually see various [Wand Skins].

But the function was the same as the Wand slot.

His was a max-whale account, so he didn't need it.

And considering that buying a wand from Ollivander would be recorded, he didn't buy a matching wand from the real [Ollivanders].
