After finishing the bell test of Kakashi Hatake, the evening settled into Konoha with a quiet calm Naruto felt he might never forget for the rest of his life. The village lights flickered on one by one outside his small apartment window, warm and distant, like stars he could finally reach.
Today was the day he had been accepted as a genin of Konoha. A real shinobi. No longer just the dead last. "Hehe~ Yep, this definitely suits me a lot."
Standing in front of the cracked mirror, Naruto grinned at the forehead protector tied securely around his head.
The metal plate gleamed faintly under the dim room light, reflecting his wide blue eyes. For him, it wasn't just a headband. It was proof.
Proof that he belonged. "From here on out, I'll become Hokage—dattebayo!"
His voice echoed off the bare walls, loud and proud, as if daring the world to doubt him now. The excitement finally drained from his body all at once, and Naruto flopped backward onto his bed, springs creaking beneath his weight.
The exhaustion he had been ignoring all day caught up to him, muscles sore and heavy. That fight with Kakashi had been brutal, even if he'd never admit it out loud. His mind was still buzzing, but his body definitely felt every hit.
Then—
[Ding.]
A sharp, unnatural sound echoed through the room.
Naruto's eyes snapped open.
[System Requirement has been Met.]
The voice rang directly inside his head. Naruto bolted upright, heart pounding, instinctively going on alert. Before he could shout or react, the voice continued without pause.
[Welcome Uzumaki Naruto.]
[To Dimension Guild.]
"Ehh!? Who the hell are you!?"
He sprang to his feet on the bed, spinning around wildly. His eyes scanned the room, the ceiling, the corners—nothing. No chakra presence. No movement. Just silence.
It was like the voice came out of nowhere.
Naruto fell silent with it.
[Sending Receptionist Mira.] It continued again.
Naruto frowned deeply. None of this made sense. Something like this had a bit of a daunting feel to it.
He had always trusted his instincts, his senses sharper than most people gave him credit for. But right now, he couldn't detect anything at all, and that unsettled him more than any enemy ever had.
And then—
A glowing circle suddenly formed in the air in front of him, humming softly. Naruto yelped and stumbled back, nearly tripping as light spilt across the room. The circle light was not bright. But it glowed with various colours to it.
A figure slowly emerged from within the circle, taking shape piece by piece until a girl stood there as if she had always belonged.
Naruto froze.
She didn't feel dangerous. Somehow, that was the first thing he felt.
Especially with those, long black hair flowed down her back, tinted with a faint purple sheen at the edge of her hair. Her pink irises held a calm depth, and a soft blush rested on her cheeks. The room felt warmer just by her presence.
Yep! The girl looked simply beautiful by standing there like that.
"Hello, Uzumaki Naruto. It is… right?" The girl asked.
Her voice was gentle and smooth, cutting through the silence. Mira glanced around the small apartment and sighed quietly.
The room felt cold. Too cold for a child his age to be living in alone. Naruto snapped out of it, eyes widening. "Wait—who are you!? Explain that first!"
He was really flustered about it.
His hand twitched toward his kunai pouch, body tense, but something in her gaze made him pause. Seeing him hesitate, the girl smiled faintly.
"Good. I'm happy to see you've calmed down."
Naruto swallowed, then scratched the back of his head awkwardly before sitting back on the bed. After all, she hadn't shown any hostility. "Sorry! I was just surprised. So… did Kakashi-sensei send you?"
"No. My name is Mira. I am the Dimensional Guild receptionist, and I am assigned to you."
And then Naruto blinked. Naruto did not know what that Dimension Guild is all about. When another ironing tone echoed within his mind.
[Player Name: Naruto.]
[Biotic System has been Merged.]
[Basic Passive Skill: Gamer Mind, Gamer Body.] [Activated.]
[Basic System Knowledge will be transfered.]
The moment Gamer Mind activated, something clicked. Information flooded into Naruto's consciousness, neatly organised and strangely easy to understand. Words, concepts, and rules formed in his thoughts as the meaning of the Dimensional Guild finally began to take shape.
"Dimension Guild, huh… That's completely weird. I don't understand it."
Naruto scratched the side of his head, staring at the floating interface only he could see. Studying had never been his strong point, and even with the strange clarity brought by Gamer Mind, the concept still felt awkward to him.
From what he could grasp, it was something like a job office. Missions, rewards, progress—kind of like how Hokage-sama handled things.
But then a thought struck him.
'If it's just missions… I can already get those from the old man.'
Why would he need something like this?
Mira, standing nearby with her hands folded neatly behind her back, seemed to read his hesitation without him saying a word. A soft smile curved her lips as she spoke, her voice calm and steady.
"I'm sure you can take missions from the Hokage as well. But by gaining experience and levelling up, you can become stronger—and faster."
Her words echoed gently through the room, but they struck something deep inside Naruto's mind.
The moment she finished speaking, [Gamer Mind] reacted.
Naruto's thoughts sharpened, snapping into place as the meaning fully settled in. Levelling up didn't just mean getting stronger over time—it meant accelerated growth. Clear progress. Tangible improvement.
And most importantly—
'Mastery points …'
Naruto's eyes widened slightly.
With mastery points, he could improve skills directly. Not just through endless repetition or painful trial and error, but by actually mastering things at an abnormal speed. "Yes," Mira said smoothly, her gaze steady on him.
"Mastering ninjutsu or even high-level techniques becomes much easier with adequate mastery points." Naruto stiffened. "Is that even true? Dattebayo."
He crossed his arms, frowning slightly. It sounded too good to be real. Way too good. Part of him screamed that this had to be some kind of trick.
But another part of him—one that had spent his whole life struggling just to keep up—wanted to believe it. 'Whatever… I'll try it out.'
The thought came easily once he stopped overthinking. Naruto shook his head, as if physically tossing the doubt aside, and his usual grin slowly returned.
"Alright, beautiful sister!" he said brightly. "I'll believe in you. So help me out!"
He extended his hand without hesitation—then froze halfway, suddenly realising how reckless that might be. His fingers twitched, about to pull back.
A warm sensation wrapped around his hand.
Naruto blinked.
Mira had taken it.
She smiled at him, not teasing, not distant—just warm and sincere. Unlike most adults he knew, she didn't hesitate or pull away. "Good boy," she said softly. "Just say yes, and you'll be contracted with me."
Naruto swallowed, then nodded firmly. "Yes."
The contract finalised quietly, without pain or flashing lights, but Naruto felt something change all the same—like a door had opened somewhere inside him.
And honestly?
He was happy.
Especially after realising that he'd get to see big sisters like Mira every day. That alone felt like a huge win. "So, Sister Mira," Naruto asked, curiosity shining in his eyes as he leaned forward, "how can you help me out?"
"Hmm…" She tapped her chin lightly, then smiled. "Let's just say there's nothing I don't know about this world."
Naruto tilted his head. "Eh? Everything?"
"Everything," she replied easily.
His mind immediately started racing, ideas stacking on top of each other. Training shortcuts. Hidden techniques. Secret knowledge. Things no one ever bothered to teach him.
Mira chuckled softly.
"You're thinking about how useful that could be," she said. "Aren't you?" Naruto scratched his cheek, laughing awkwardly. "Hehe… maybe."
But beneath the humour, there was one clear thought echoing in his heart. 'I want to become strong enough to become Hokage.'
Simple. Honest. Uncomplicated.
And somehow, Mira could feel it.
His straightforward desire made her smile wider than before.
"Becoming strong is easy to say," she replied. "But the real question is how. And as I told you, there's nothing I can't explain—about this world or even others."
Naruto's eyes widened.
"Really…?"
He nearly jumped to his feet, excitement bursting through him, only to be gently pulled back down by Mira's hand on his shoulder.
"Sit," she said, her tone firm now.
Naruto obeyed instantly.
Her expression shifted, playful warmth replaced by focus. "Then let's start," Mira said. "With the division of strength scaling in the Shinobi world." Naruto straightened, his grin fading into a serious look as he nodded.
He listened.
Shinobi strengthening, according to Mira, followed three major development arcs.
The first was Taijutsu—the art of close combat, where fists, kicks, and raw physical skill decided the outcome.
The second was Ninjutsu—chakra-based techniques, destructive and versatile, capable of turning the tide of battle in an instant.
And the third was Shuriken Jutsu—the mastery of tools, timing, and precision, often overlooked but deadly in the right hands.
Naruto sat quietly on the edge of his bed, legs dangling slightly as he listened. The excitement he usually carried was still there, but it had settled into something more controlled, more attentive. Mira stood before him, her posture relaxed yet authoritative, as translucent system panels hovered beside her, shifting slowly with each gesture of her hand.
"For most shinobi," Mira said, her voice calm and measured, "they tend to walk only one path. Some rely completely on ninjutsu. Others dedicate everything to taijutsu. That imbalance creates flaws."
She turned her gaze toward Naruto, eyes sharp yet gentle. "But for you, Uzumaki Naruto, your starting point is different." Naruto blinked and pointed at himself. "Eh? Me?"
"Yes," she replied. "Right now, the only natural advantage you possess is your Uzumaki bloodline." Naruto frowned slightly, unsure whether that was supposed to be impressive. "And more importantly," Mira continued, "your stamina."
That word lingered in the air.
Naruto unconsciously clenched his fists. He had always known he could last longer than others. Running until his lungs burnt, training until his arms shook—he rarely stopped first. Still, no one had ever called it a weapon.
"That stamina," Mira explained, "is what allows you to survive harsh training, extended battles, and repeated failures. It is the foundation upon which everything else can be built."
With a smooth motion, she opened another system screen.
The room darkened slightly as an image formed in midair. It wasn't like a normal illusion. The scene felt heavy and real, as if he were peering into something forbidden.
Naruto's breath caught.
A battlefield appeared.
At its centre stood a glowing, golden man, his body radiating immense chakra, his presence overwhelming even from a distance. Beside him was a dark-haired swordsman with a cold expression and sharp movements, his blade flashing as he moved.
Opposing them—
A white-skinned figure with strange markings and unnatural eyes.
Naruto stared, wide-eyed.
The scene played out in fragments. Massive chakra attacks were unleashed—blazing, powerful, overwhelming—only for the white-skinned enemy to absorb them as if they were nothing. The enemy didn't even flinch.
"That guy…" Naruto muttered under his breath. "An enemy capable of absorbing chakra-based ninjutsu," Mira said. "There are many like him across worlds." The image shifted.
The golden man and the swordsman moved in together, their coordination seamless. Instead of relying on large-scale techniques, they closed the distance.
Fists collided with flesh. Kicks followed. Chakra-enhanced strikes were woven into raw taijutsu, each movement precise and intentional. The enemy staggered. Only a short portion of the battle was shown, but it was enough to make Naruto's heart pound.
"Wow!" Naruto jumped to his feet. "What was that, Mira-nee?" Calling her that still felt strange, but it slipped out naturally now.
Mira turned to him, her expression serious. "Remember this scene well. There are opponents in this world—and others—who render powerful ninjutsu meaningless." Naruto stared at the fading image, his excitement dimmed by realisation.
He loved ninjutsu. Big techniques. Flashy moves. That was what shinobi were supposed to use.
But even he could see it.
If ninjutsu didn't work… then what?
He nodded slowly. "…Yeah. Just ninjutsu won't be enough."
"And a Hokage," Mira added quietly, "must be able to protect the village from anything. Even beings like that."
Naruto swallowed hard.
"You need all three paths," Mira continued. "Taijutsu for close combat. Shuriken jutsu for control and pressure. Ninjutsu for power and adaptability. None of them can be neglected."
Naruto scratched his chin. "What about kenjutsu?" The question made Mira pause. "Kenjutsu?"
"Yeah!" Naruto grinned. "Sword stuff! That guy with the sword looked awesome."
For a brief moment, Mira simply stared at him. Then she sighed. "You can learn it. But adding another path will only make things more difficult."
Naruto's grin widened instead of fading. "Hard is fine!" Mira shook her head lightly. 'This boy…' His determination wasn't loud or forced. It was simple and stubborn, rooted deep.
'Teaching him will be troublesome… and interesting.' She opened another system panel, displaying training routes for Shinobi Taijutsu and Shuriken Jutsu. The structure was clear, but the effort required was obvious.
"Still," Mira said as she closed the panel, "no amount of system support replaces real combat experience." Naruto nodded, serious this time.
Time passed quietly. Mira explained more—how training efficiency scaled, how mastery required repetition, and how the system rewarded effort rather than replacing it. Eventually, she stretched slightly, fatigue visible in her posture.
"Hmm. You've also joined the Newbie group," she said. "Check it out and say hi." Naruto looked up. "You're leaving?"
"I have to," she replied. "Even I need food and rest." She paused, glancing around the room again, her expression softening. "But I'll return." Naruto hesitated. "Will… will they accept me? Like you did?" The question was quiet, uncertain.
Mira smiled warmly. "They will. In fact, they might treat you very specially." She thought briefly. 'Kids from Tokyo …'
'Meeting someone from an anime world would excite them.' With that, she vanished in a shimmer of light. The room immediately felt emptier. Naruto sat still for a moment.
'I'll definitely meet her next day.' He took a breath and opened the chat interface.
[Naruto Uzumaki has joined the group.]
Messages flooded in.
Yuki Rito: Uzumaki Naruto? Is that from an anime world?
Shiunji Oka: Looks real. That profile image doesn't look animated.
Akane Himejima: Who are you all talking about?
Avrora Floristina: I checked. He feels like a protagonist from a strange world.
↦ A nice kid at that.
…
…
...
...
Naruto stared, overwhelmed. "They're… talking about me?"
He thought about typing Hello—
And it appeared instantly. "It writes what I think of writing," Naruto said out loud. Nothing appeared. "Heh… guess thinking and talking aren't the same." A small smile formed on his face as the chat continued to scroll.
For the first time that night, the room didn't feel quite so cold.
Mira image. [Here.]
