Switchable Personality (I): Generous, WealthySwitchable Personality (II): Aloof, Indulgent
Note: Personality switching must follow Lucia's personal will. Forcibly switching her personality against her wishes may result in a decrease in her favorability toward you.
"Personality switching… can be forced?"
When Akira read the prompt, he couldn't help but feel a flicker of surprise.
That meant that, as guildmaster, he actually possessed the authority to force Lucia to switch personalities?
Cough, cough.
Akira immediately refocused his attention on Lucia herself.
"Succubus… undead… elf… witch-born creation…"
Lucia's crimson-gold eyes slowly swept across the guild members. A captivating smile curved at her lips before she bent slightly at the knees in a formal curtsey.
"Lucia of the Radiant Church," she said softly. "I pay my respects to the Guildmaster."
"Lucia…" Akira murmured her name under his breath.
Since she was a Saintess of the Radiant Church, did that mean she and Ivsha belonged to the same organization?
And not just any Saintess—She was the Radiant Saintess, standing above tens of thousands, beneath only one.
Come to think of it… how many Saintesses did the Radiant Church even have?
If he knew her exact name and title, he might be able to determine her precise standing within the Church.
"Welcome to my guild, Lucia," Akira said with a smile.
She was the first Mythical-quality adventurer in his guild. Even at level zero, her attributes were already monstrous—worthy of the word mythical.
"What did you just call me?"
Lucia suddenly asked the question, her gaze steady on Akira.
"Lucia?" Akira replied, puzzled. Did she dislike being addressed by name?
Lucia smiled faintly.
"I prefer to be called by my name directly, not by my title. Please… always call me Lucia."
"Uh…"
Her explanation somehow made Akira even more confused. What kind of preference was that?
As the conversation paused, Lucia's attention shifted to Ivsha. She walked lightly toward her.
As Lucia passed by, Akira's gaze involuntarily drifted downward—to her bare feet.
Wouldn't that get dirty?
…Apparently not.
A faint halo of sacred power seemed to envelop her feet, preventing even the slightest speck of dust from touching her skin.
"Are you also from the Radiant Church?"Lucia asked Ivsha with gentle curiosity. She had noticed Ivsha's nun attire the moment she arrived.
"Yes, Saintess," Ivsha nodded softly.
"Call me Lucia. Inside the guild, we're companions."
Lucia smiled warmly, clearly enjoying the atmosphere here.
No power struggles.No suffocating formalities.
"I understand, Lucia," Ivsha replied without hesitation. "My name is Ivsha, a nun from Silvermoon Town."
"Silvermoon Town…" Lucia seemed to recall something. "So you're a nun from the distant Starfall Kingdom. No wonder I've never seen you before."
Then her tone turned slightly serious.
"If you ever plan to travel to the Sun Theocracy, you must inform me beforehand. Succubus nuns are not permitted there. No matter how strong your concealment abilities are, the moment you step inside the Sun Theocracy, you will be exposed."
"You… don't mind that I'm a succubus?" Ivsha asked in surprise.
As a representative of the Radiant Church, Lucia's lack of hostility toward a succubus nun was unexpected.
"I believe light should shine upon everyone," Lucia replied calmly. "Even demons. Don't you agree?"
"Thank you, Saint—"
"Lucia," she corrected gently. "We're partners now, aren't we?"
"..."
Listening to their exchange, Akira felt a quiet sense of satisfaction.
The relationships within his guild were far more harmonious than he had anticipated.
And yet… for some reason, he still felt that Lucia was different. There was an innate air of loftiness about her—something born of standing above all others for far too long.
Still, she seemed to be deliberately restraining it.
"Let's level Lucia up first. …Wait, why is she level zero?"
That question suddenly struck Akira.
A Mythical-quality adventurer.A Saintess of the Radiant Church.
How could she possibly be level 0?
Even Ivsha had started at level 1.
Without dwelling on it, Akira transferred experience to Lucia. He still had 20,000 EXP in his pool and directly raised her to level 15.
EXP -16,600!
Once Lucia reached level 15, her attributes were already on par with Ivsha at level 20—And her Magic stat far exceeded Ivsha's.
Ivsha had already completed her character quest and undergone advancement, giving her stats far above most adventurers of her level.
Yet Lucia surpassed her effortlessly.
This alone proved just how terrifyingly overpowered a Mythical adventurer truly was.
At the same time, Lucia herself sensed the power flowing into her.
A faint golden glow shimmered across her body. As her attributes continued to rise, her lips curved into a subtle smile.
"So this is power that transcends the laws of the world…""How intriguing~"
Afterward, Akira gave his remaining experience to Loserine, raising her by one level.
Thanks to the halved EXP cost, leveling Loserine at level 25 consumed even less experience than Ivsha at level 20.
EXP -3,750!
Once everything was done, Akira glanced at the time.
4:30 PM.
Looks like we could still take on one more D-rank commission.
With a thought, the D-rank commission panel opened, displaying thirty available quests.
The one that immediately caught Akira's attention was a D-rank quest with special rewards.
[D-Rank Commission: Eliminate the Necromancer of the Shadow Mountains (0/1)][Recommended Level: 35][Rewards: Gold +2, EXP +20,000][Special Reward: Soul Crystal Orb (Elite)]
"The gold and EXP rewards have multiplied several times… but so has the difficulty," Akira muttered.
He also noticed that after advancing to D-rank player evaluation, his guild had gained access to special commissions.
[Special Commission: Demons from the Abyss (Crisis of the Starfall Kingdom)!][Recommended Level: 40][Description: A group of demons has escaped from the Abyss. The King of the Starfall Kingdom has issued a call to guilds across the land, requesting adventurers to assist in repelling the demons and preventing further invasion of the Magic Continent.][Objective: Destroy Demon Nests (6/50)][Current Participants: 272 players][Note: Rewards will be distributed based on guild contribution. The top three contributors will receive additional lavish rewards.]
"From the looks of it, this is a long-term event," Akira said thoughtfully.
He also checked the contribution rankings.
The top-ranked player already had over 1,000 contribution points, while second and third place hovered at around 800 and 700.
"Killing a demon grants 0–100 contribution points. Destroying a demon nest gives 300…"
Akira committed those numbers to memory.
Should he start this special event now—or wait until the guild grew stronger?
The recommended level was 40, and the highest-level member in his guild, Loserine, was only 26.
But if he joined too late, the most valuable rewards might already be out of reach.
As he pondered, Lucia quietly stepped closer.
She leaned down slightly, her lips near his ear, and whispered in a gentle voice:
"Is something troubling you? You can tell me anything. I've managed church affairs for a long time, you see~ I know quite a lot~"
Her breath brushed against his ear—warm, soft, and faintly fragrant.
