Chapter 96 - Chapter 96

In stark contrast to the Moon God Empire's isolationist policies, the Elf Kingdom maintained a far more open stance toward outsiders. That said, "open" did not mean unrestricted. Foreigners were only permitted to move about the outer regions; the kingdom's inner core remained strictly off-limits.

Thus, when Kurose Akira and the others emerged from the teleportation gate into the Elf Kingdom, Beiafurie and Beiafuro immediately urged them to pick up the pace, hurrying them toward home.

It was worth noting that the sisters lived in a rather remote area. Although their home was quite close to the Elf Mother Tree, there didn't seem to be any other elves living nearby.

This piqued Akira's curiosity—and when he finally laid eyes on the Elf Mother Tree itself, the only words that came to mind were:

"So… big."

The colossal tree soared thousands of meters into the sky. Even a single leaf spanned several meters in width, to say nothing of the branches that pierced the clouds above. Akira stared at the elven sacred tree, awe flooding his chest.

So this is the god tree of the elves…It truly takes your breath away.

Before long, they arrived at a small wooden cabin.

What struck Akira as strange was the deep-blue magical barrier enveloping the cabin. They could pass through it freely, yet it clearly seemed designed to isolate those inside from the outside world.

"Mom~! We're home~!"

Beiafurie and Beiafuro rushed into the cabin excitedly, with Akira and the others following close behind. This time, however, only Ivsha came along—since the other two guild members had no need to eat.

Before Akira could even step inside, a voice—rich, warm, and irresistibly alluring—drifted out to him.

"You're back~ my children~"

The moment that voice reached his ears, Akira felt something stir deep within him, as though every bone in his body trembled.

There was something almost spellbinding about it, a subtle power that pulled at his senses and captured him completely in that instant.

Through the half-open doorway, he caught sight of the woman inside.

She was a beautiful elf, her figure voluptuous yet graceful, brimming with vitality. Her light-yellow hair was braided into twin plaits that rested gently against her chest—an innocent style that somehow carried an indescribable allure. Her eyes were soft as water, like deep lakes shimmering with bright, captivating light.

With just that single glance, Akira felt an overwhelming urge to look closer… to understand her more… to linger in that gaze just a little longer.

What a beautiful elf woman.

"Mom, this time we invited the Guild Master and some friends from the guild to have dinner at home," Beiafurie explained gently.

"Oh~?"

The elf woman lifted her head slightly. Her heterochromatic eyes—one red, one blue—settled on Akira standing outside the door as she smiled warmly.

"Welcome. Thank you so much for taking care of my daughters."

"Oh, not at all~"Akira smiled and waved his hand lightly as he stepped inside.

The cabin's interior was extremely simple: a wooden table, a few wooden stools, and a plain wooden bed.

…Hm?

Only one bed?

Don't tell me the mother and daughters have been sleeping together all this time?

As soon as Akira entered, Beiafurie and Beiafuro hurriedly brought over two stools for him and Ivsha. They themselves sat close together on the edge of the bed, leaning against their mother.

"Please, have some tea~"

The elf woman kindly poured hot tea for both of them.

"Thank you," Akira said with a smile, taking a sip.

A faint milky fragrance spread across his tongue—but it didn't seem to come from the tea leaves themselves.

"You two, go fetch the ingredients for dinner," the elf woman instructed her daughters.

"Okay~ Mom~"

Beiafurie and Beiafuro immediately went off to gather the ingredients.

Once the sisters left, the elf woman turned her gentle gaze toward Akira.

"May I ask… are Beiafurie and Beiafuro doing well in your guild?" she asked softly."Have they been injured during missions? If possible, could you assign them lower-risk tasks? It's their first time leaving the Elf Kingdom… they know nothing about the outside world…"

Her tone carried a quiet plea.

"Please rest assured," Akira replied with a calm smile. "I won't allow any guild member to take on missions beyond what they can handle."

"Really? That's such a relief~"

She pressed a hand lightly to her chest, letting out a long breath as if a heavy weight had finally been lifted.

"Oh, I almost forgot to introduce myself," she continued. "My name is Beialera. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Kurose Akira."

"Ivsha~"

"Guild Master Akira, Miss Ivsha~" Beialera smiled."Please take good care of Beiafurie and Beiafuro. Because of me… they've had to shoulder burdens they never should have carried."

"Don't worry. Everyone in the guild looks after them well—right, Ivsha?" Akira said.

"Yes," Ivsha replied softly.

"That's wonderful. I was afraid they wouldn't be able to adapt to the outside world. Hearing you say that puts my heart at ease."

Beialera's eyes shone with gentle relief, clear and soothing like spring water—drawing one in almost against their will.

The mature charm she radiated with every small gesture made Akira marvel inwardly. So this is the allure of a woman who's raised children…It really is different from Ivsha and the others—softer, warmer.

"Mom, we've brought back the ingredients!"

As they spoke, the elf sisters returned, arms full.

"Then I'll start preparing dinner. Please sit tight for a moment," Beialera said as she rose and headed into the kitchen.

Beiafurie and Beiafuro stayed behind to help her, leaving only Akira and Ivsha in the room.

"Mr. Akira… the elf sisters' mother is truly beautiful," Ivsha whispered near his ear. "So gentle and virtuous~"

"Mm," Akira responded.

Something felt… off. He couldn't quite put his finger on it.

Before long, the elf mother and daughters prepared a lavish dinner.

Though it was entirely vegetarian, the aroma was rich and enticing.

"Please eat more, Guild Master~"

Beialera acted like the mother of a classmate, warmly serving Akira food again and again.

"Thank you~"

Her enthusiasm left Akira flustered. She sat right beside him, occasionally leaning closer—whether intentionally or not—and the softness of her body, along with that faint milky scent, made it difficult for him to focus on eating.

"Guild Master~ is the food not to your liking?"Beialera asked with concern, her beautiful eyes filled with worry, as though she feared she'd failed to please him.

"No, no~ it's great," Akira replied hastily, waving his hands.

"Then… would you like me to feed you myself? Ah~"

She spoke gently—and then actually moved to do just that.

"That's not necessary!"Akira quickly refused. Her overwhelming warmth and attentiveness were becoming too much. It was sweet, yet dangerously distracting—he genuinely feared losing himself under such an onslaught.

As for Ivsha?

She simply ate quietly to the side, seemingly indifferent to everything happening around her.

After the meal, Beialera had her daughters take Ivsha out to see the beautiful scenery of the Elf Kingdom.

She, however, deliberately kept Akira behind.

This left him deeply puzzled.

What could she possibly want to discuss alone?

"Guild Master~"

While washing the dishes, Beialera spoke softly."Flie and Flo are the children I carried and gave birth to. I raised them with my own hands… they are the most precious treasures of my life~"

"I understand," Akira said, listening attentively. This was a mother's love—pure, fierce, and irreplaceable.

At that moment, Beialera suddenly stopped washing the dishes.

She turned slowly, her red-and-blue eyes locking onto Akira, sending a faint chill through him.

Then he saw her reach out and pick up a fruit knife resting nearby.

Her gentle voice drifted to him once more.

"So~ I don't want anyone to hurt them~""They're my children~ even if it's the Guild Master they trust~ I…"

As she spoke, Beialera stepped lightly toward Akira, the fruit knife glinting coldly in her hand.

The pressure of her approach made Akira's expression stiffen instantly.

What… is going on?

Could her earlier gentleness be—

Before he could finish the thought, a status panel abruptly popped into his vision.

"Sin of Lust!?"

Akira's mind went completely blank.

Don't tell me she's about to—

Just as unease surged through him, Beialera's voice rang out again.

"Guild Master~ would you like an apple? Or a snow pear? Or perhaps… all~ of~ them~?""I can peel and slice them for you—or if you'd prefer, I can even feed you myself~"

She stopped beside him, the blade flashing dangerously close.

"I hope everything I do~ will make you take especially good care of Flie and Flo~""Please… I'm counting on you~"
