Chapter 60 - Chapter 60 A snake?

A long, slender creature slowly appeared, but the details were blurry and not clear.

A snake?

No, this creature had horns on its head, a long, slender body, and claw-like protrusions beneath it.

"Is this a Dragon?"

Charlie White was very excited.

This wasn't a Western Dragon, but an Eastern Dragon!

Its slender body elegantly swam in the air. Although the details were not yet clear enough, the sacred and majestic aura was already beginning to show.

As a foolish monarch, having a Dragon as a Patronus is very reasonable.

Charlie White looked forward even more to seeing this Dragon fully formed... Charlie White walked out of the dormitory and headed straight for the dungeon.

The ingredient list for the healing potion recipe was long, and many of them were rare medicinal herbs.

Although they could also be bought in Diagon Alley, Professor Snape's stock was of better quality, and it saved him a trip.

Even though his relationship with the Professor wasn't particularly harmonious, buying ingredients with money shouldn't be a problem, right?

Charlie White knocked on Professor Snape's office door.

"Enter."

The door opened automatically. Professor Snape sat expressionlessly behind his desk, grading homework.

Seeing that it was Charlie White, a hint of surprise, and obvious wariness, flashed in his eyes.

His relationship with Charlie White couldn't be described as particularly harmonious; at the very least, they mutually disliked each other and harbored ulterior motives.

Charlie White's sudden visit surely meant no good.

"Good afternoon, Professor."

Charlie White greeted him politely.

Professor Snape put down his quill and looked at him coldly.

"Mr. White, just say what you want to say."

"I don't have time to waste with you here."

Charlie White didn't beat around the bush and went straight to the point.

"I'd like to purchase a batch of ingredients from Professor."

He pulled out a piece of parchment from his robes and handed it to Professor Snape.

Professor Snape frowned slightly and took the list.

When did Charlie White become so studious? Does he need to buy ingredients to practice after class?

He lowered his head, glanced at the list, and raised an eyebrow.

Moonstone powder, Mandrake root, toad brain... He had never seen this combination of ingredients before; it didn't belong to any Potion recipe he knew.

Professor Snape looked up, a sneer on his lips.

"It seems Mr. White has become so arrogant as to believe he can create new Potions."

"Or do you think you're smarter than those Potions Masters who have been researching for decades?"

Professor Snape believed that with Charlie White's performance in Potion Class, it was very possible for him to innovate Potions in his sixth or seventh year.

But he was only a first-year now, having only studied for half a year.

In his opinion, this was being overconfident and incompetent, as annoying as that arrogant Potter.

Charlie White, however, was not annoyed.

He was already used to Professor Snape's deadpan expression; this was nothing.

He had to admit, Professor Snape was quite gentle today.

It was just a bit strange, Professor Snape didn't even know about the healing potion?

"Reporting to Your Majesty, the healing potion has not yet been developed; it is a Potion recipe developed by the system."

Charlie White understood.

"Professor is right, I am indeed still far from it."

He smiled and spread his hands.

"I just have some ideas and hope to buy some ingredients from Professor to try. Even if the refining fails, I can learn from it and make progress."

Professor Snape stared at Charlie White for a long time, his deep black eyes seeming to penetrate his inner thoughts.

Charlie White met his gaze calmly, showing an innocent smile.

"And I will pay at market price; I won't let Professor suffer any loss."

Charlie White added.

Professor Snape was silent for a moment.

These ingredients were indeed very precious, some could even be called rare.

Being able to produce such a list showed that Charlie White's understanding of Potions was much deeper than it appeared on the surface.

Although Professor Snape didn't believe Charlie White would succeed, at least he didn't boast like those foolish Gryffindors.

Professor Snape stood up and walked towards the storage room behind the office.

"Follow me."

Charlie White followed Professor Snape into the storage room.

The storage room walls were lined with various bottles and jars, containing liquids and powders of strange colors.
