Chapter 18 - Sorcery Lesson 101

The next day.

In Manhattan, New York, at Yao's Clinic.

A silver-white Audi R8 was parked at the entrance of the clinic.

Tony couldn't help but complain as he got out of the car, "Lucas, didn't you say you were taking me to see that Sorcerer Supreme? Why is it a psychology clinic? I don't need psychological treatment."

Lucas walked ahead, leading the way, without looking back. "That's not the point. Isn't Iron Man also the chairman of Stark Industries?"

Arriving at the reception room, Lucas walked straight in as the door was open.

"Sorcerer, this is Tony Stark."

"Tony, this is the Ancient One."

Lucas introduced the two, then sat down to drink tea, preparing to watch the show.

Hmm, the tea here at the Ancient One's place is still delicious. It seems like a bit of honey was added.

"Hello, Stark, please have a seat."

The Ancient One smiled, stood up, poured Tony a cup of tea, and gestured for him to sit down.

Tony took the tea and sat down, took a sip, and gave a thumbs up. "Good tea."

Then, he got straight to the point, "You cured a girl named Erin yesterday? Someone infected with the Vampire virus."

The Ancient One said, "You could say that."

Tony continued to ask, "You helped her remove the racial flaws of the Vampire race, with no effect on other bodily functions."

"Yes."

Tony's tone quickened, "How did you do it?"

The Ancient One said, "She craved blood and feared the sun. I told her she could overcome these, and she did."

Tony was suspicious. "You're not going to say that was psychological treatment, are you?"

The Ancient One asked instead of answering, "What if I told you that people can use mental power to heal their bodies?"

Tony was confused. "How do you do that?"

The Ancient One opened a book with an illustration of acupuncture points in the human body, and asked with a smile, "Do you like this picture?"

Tony shook his head. "No. Sorcerer, let's be more direct, okay?"

Lucas suddenly interjected, "Seeing is believing. Why don't you let Tony experience it himself?"

What he wanted to see was Tony speaking disrespectfully and questioning yhe Ancient One and then the Ancient One striking his soul out with a palm.

Not the two of them having a friendly discussion.

"Okay." Tony was eager to try. "I really want to experience magic myself."

The Ancient One and Lucas both laughed at the same time.

Bang!

The next second, the Ancient One's palm landed on Tony's chest.

In Lucas's expectant gaze, nothing happened.

"Hmm?"

Bang!

Another palm strike hit Tony's shoulder, and Tony's soul flew out in response.

"Sorry, I forgot about the Arc Reactor in your chest."

A moment later, Tony's soul swam back into his body.

Tony muttered to himself, "There really is a soul. It's amazing."

The Ancient One asked with a smile, "Want to see something even more amazing?"

"Hmm?"

The next instant, Tony flew out, disappearing into thin air.

"Lucas, you try it too."

"No, Sor—"

Before he finished speaking, a flash of yellow light suddenly appeared under Lucas's feet, forming a circle of light.

Lucas got up and dodged just before the yellow light appeared.

Lucas gave an awkward smile. "Let's talk things over nicely, there's no need to get physical."

"Lucas, it seems I underestimated you." The Ancient One was a little surprised.

"However, there are some things that would benefit you to see."

The next instant, the Mirror Dimension enveloped the entire reception room. The entire Mirror Dimension disappeared from its original location.

This time, Lucas didn't dodge.

In the future he saw, wherever he ran, the Mirror Dimension would extend.

A bizarre world unfolded before Lucas and Tony's eyes.

"The material Universe is not everything. At the source of reality, spirit and matter are connected. This Universe is just one of countless Universes. Take a good look, this is the true Universe."

The Ancient One's voice echoed in their ears, clarifying their doubts.

After an unknown amount of time, they returned to the reception room.

This was Lucas's second time traveling through the Multiverse.

The first time was when he transmigrated, he was still an ordinary person then and couldn't see much.

The second time is now, and he saw more.

More Extra-Dimensional Beings and energy dimensions.

Isn't this mobile stat points?

"Want to learn?" The Ancient One's calm voice sounded.

"Sorcerer, teach us." x2

"Alright, I'll teach you, follow me."

With that, the Ancient One opened a portal to Kamar-Taj.

"Oh, and these are Sling Rings. Proficient use of the Sling Ring allows you to open portals and reach any place you wish to go. You can even travel through the Multiverse."

Handing the two Sling Rings to them, the Ancient One continued, "You two are different from other Sorcerers, you don't have to stay at Kamar-Taj all the time. Once you learn to use the Sling Ring, you can go back. Just take time each day to come here and study."

"Thank you, Sorcerer." Tony and Lucas both thanked her in unison.

The Ancient One put on a Sling Ring and personally demonstrated for them.

"Concentrate your attention and visualize the place you want to go."

As she spoke, she brought her two fingers together and drew a circle. Where her fingertips passed, a flame appeared. Then it quickly spread, forming a portal.

On the other side of the door was the reception room where everyone had come from.

"That sounds pretty simple." Tony laughed.

Then he put on a Sling Ring and mimicked the Ancient One's movements.

One circle, two circles, three circles.

Occasionally, tiny sparks appeared but that was pretty much it.

Lucas shook his head and smiled. "It is quite simple."

As he spoke, he put on a Sling Ring.

Through the Sling Ring, he 'saw' the thin, special magic power permeating the surrounding space.

His mental power surged into the Sling Ring on his finger, then connected with the special magic power. His perception instantly extended infinitely outwards. At the same time, a pressure acted on his spirit.

This method of perception lacked precision, but its range was greatly increased.

Soon, Lucas encompassed the entire Earth within his perception.

Seeing Lucas motionless for a long time, Tony spoke mockingly, "Lucas, why are you standing there like a fool? You haven't forgotten the movements, have you? Do you want me to teach you?"

Swish... Swish...

As soon as his voice sounded, portal after portal appeared around Lucas.

The portals led to various parts of the world.

The closest one was in the courtyard,

The farthest one was outside the Solar System.

Tony stared blankly at this scene. "Sorcerer, didn't you say to draw circles?"

The Ancient One looked at Lucas, becoming more and more satisfied.

But she still comforted Tony first, "Drawing circles is just an aid, mental power and proficiency are key. Stark, don't be discouraged, your talent is also very good."

"It's just that Lucas himself is an extremely powerful transcendent. His mental power is far stronger than yours but as long as you practice, your mental power will continue to grow stronger."

Tony looked at Lucas enviously. "Like Lucas?"

The Ancient One was silent.

With Lucas's talent, it was almost impossible for anyone to surpass him in pure numerical terms.

"For a sorcerer, mental power is certainly important. But wisdom, knowledge, comprehension, and creativity are equally important. These are your strengths, Tony."

After comforting Tony, the Ancient One cautioned Lucas, "Focus your mind, instead of releasing it aimlessly. That way you can see farther."
