It was fine. He could go another ten minutes.
Leo really wanted to say that—but unfortunately, his body disagreed.
Right now, his entire being was in a hazy, floating state. He could clearly sense the weakness in his body, yet no matter what, he didn't feel uncomfortable.
To be precise, there was even a light, drifting sensation.
It was a feeling that normal sex with a girl could never reach.
"Does the Gremory family also do succubus work on the side?"
Leo really wanted to ask that. But obviously, Rias Gremory wasn't going to answer such a question directly—because after absorbing Leo's vital energy, she had already recovered a portion of her magic power.
Not only did her complexion improve, even her spirit was no longer sluggish.
Leo, however, was the opposite. He didn't even have the strength to stand up.
Rias gently lifted Leo into her arms in a princess carry, then turned to Lux, whose face was bright red, and asked,
"Lux, how is your magic power recovery?"
Lux looked at Rias with a flushed face, took a deep breath, carefully sensed the power within her body, and then replied,
"I've recovered about half."
A slightly cruel smile appeared on Rias's face.
"Good. Then it's time to deal with the trouble we brought here."
She glanced at Leo, tenderness surfacing in her expression.
"Mr. Leo, thank you for your power. I won't waste it."
Leo wanted to say "do whatever you want," but he didn't even have the strength to speak anymore. He could only let Rias do as she pleased.
What he didn't know was that Rias felt she had misjudged him.
"Mr. Leo… you're not an ordinary person either."
Feeling the vital energy within her body continuously transforming into magic power, Rias was also shocked. Leo's vital energy was far too pure, as if it had never been influenced by anything at all.
In such a state, the recovery speed and effectiveness were astonishing.
But that also meant that in Leo's environment, there had never been any magic power at all—which was impossible.
Magic power was something that constituted worlds themselves. Whether it was angels' holy power or devils' demonic power, in essence, they were all magic power.
They were merely different expressions of the same fundamental thing.
At their core, all of them were composed of spiritual energy and physical energy.
Yet Leo's body was excessively pure, completely untouched by transformed magic power.
It was almost as if…
He were a primordial human.
In her world, such beings were unquestionably priceless treasures. Pure humans should have long ceased to exist.
But now wasn't the time to dwell on that.
Rias once again activated flight magic, raising her hand as a massive chunk of earth above them was violently lifted away, revealing the densely packed zombie birds.
"Lux!"
"Mm!"
Lux immediately understood what she needed to do. She raised her staff, and beams of light continuously appeared in the sky, carving out paths through the endless flock of zombie birds and allowing Rias and the others to clearly see the steel cabin that had been completely surrounded.
"Looks like I'll have to apologize properly later!"
Rias expanded a barrier, shielding Leo and Lux. At the same time, countless magic circles suddenly appeared around her.
That's right—holding Leo in her arms didn't stop her from unleashing destruction.
Fireballs and roaring flames began to orbit outside her barrier, constantly annihilating the zombie birds that rushed in. After handing Leo over to Lux to support, crackling arcs of lightning appeared around Rias's fingers.
"Even though I'm not as skilled with lightning as Akeno, spending so much time with her has let me pick up quite a bit!"
A cruel smile spread across Rias's face. In the next moment, countless bolts of lightning erupted from newly formed magic circles, striking the zombie birds in the sky and chaining through their bodies.
In an instant, the entire sky—except for the area she deliberately avoided around the steel cabin—was filled with blinding lightning.
The smell of scorched flesh filled the air as countless zombie birds were wiped out. Within several hundred meters, the skies were completely cleared.
And yet, more zombie birds continued to surge in.
"This really is…"
Rias gritted her teeth and released another wave of flames. If even one of her servants were here, these creatures would be trivial—blood magic could detonate the remaining blood in their bodies and erase them all in an instant.
But she couldn't do that.
Killing these monsters required tremendous effort from her.
So she didn't linger. With only part of her magic power restored, she rushed toward the steel cabin after clearing the immediate area and landed at the entrance.
Kelly quickly noticed them, opened the door, and let the three inside. But the moment she took Leo from Lux's arms, her gun snapped up, aimed straight at Rias, finger tense on the trigger.
"Care to explain why our man ended up like this?!"
Kelly stared at Rias with hostility. She cared deeply that Rias had drawn these monsters here—and even more that Leo was now limp and spaced out.
"I'm sorry. Mr. Leo is like this because I absorbed his vital energy. Please rest assured, I didn't harm his body. As long as he rests for a while, he'll recover."
Rias didn't resent Kelly's hostility. Instead, she felt deep guilt.
"I sincerely apologize for bringing trouble to everyone. Please believe me—once I rest a bit more, I'll go deal with this crisis myself."
She bowed deeply to Kelly and the trembling Tsunade, not rising afterward. Lux also bowed in apology beside her.
"Hmph. Let's hope you mean that."
Kelly snorted coldly before dragging Leo over to the bed and placing him beside Tsunade so he could lie down and rest.
Leo felt utterly drowsy. Even Kelly occasionally opening the firing port to shoot outside couldn't wake him. Before long, he fell asleep in Tsunade's trembling embrace.
The steel cabin sank into a heavy silence.
Kelly had no interest in talking to strangers who had caused trouble and left Leo in this state. Rias and Lux, meanwhile, didn't know what to say out of sheer awkwardness.
Fortunately, Leo's sleep didn't last long. Once the haze from the drained vital energy faded, his mind returned to normal—and he was awakened by the sound of gunfire.
Only then did the steel cabin regain a bit of normalcy.
Groggily opening his eyes under the torchlight, Leo saw Kelly firing continuously through the shooting port, as well as Rias and Lux sitting on two wooden blocks.
Both of them looked like elementary school students who'd made a mistake—waiting to be judged.
Leo shook his head to make sure he wasn't dreaming and realized he was safely back inside the steel cabin.
"It's not over yet?"
Listening to the relentless pounding on the steel walls and watching zombie birds still hurling themselves at the firing ports, he couldn't help asking.
Rias had drained him this badly, and it still wasn't resolved?
Just how many of these things were there?
"Not even close! There are at least tens of thousands left out there!"
Kelly's expression improved a little when she saw Leo awake, but she was still clearly annoyed.
At this point, Rias knew she could speak.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Leo. But as you said, this world is truly bizarre—and hostile to us. It also seems to strongly reject flight. I did some calculations: I only flew for a few dozen minutes, and this world released several hundred thousand of these birds to attack me. At first, there were only one or two, but afterward, the number increased every time they appeared—and the spawn rate kept accelerating!"
Leo's lips twitched. He'd actually considered using an aircraft to avoid Blood Moons before. With Kelly around and a gyrocopter available in their crafting list, it had seemed feasible.
Now, though?
Wouldn't that just be a flying death sentence?
"This world really is…"
He didn't even feel like complaining anymore.
But just as he was feeling helpless, his true system sent him a notification.
He opened it—and saw two messages that left him stunned.
"Warning! Your Seven Days to Die Dimension Lord qualification is being surpassed!"
"Rias Gremory! Luxanna Crownguard have surpassed your Seven Days to Die Dimension Lord qualification!"
What the hell?!
