CHAPTER 1
"I'm so tired, I need to go and meet Calvin.
Tiara. "Lover girl, I hope I find my own boyfriend too."
Tiara is my best friend, we've known each other for 4 years. We became friends when she moved to this neighborhood, she was a very shy person when we first met. I literally don't remember how we became friends.
"I'm sure you'll find someone who is deserving of you not like your last boyfriend."
Tiara. "Please let's not talk about him, gosh I can't even say his name anymore."
"I'm so happy you've moved on."
Tiara. "I refuse to settle for less anymore."
"Good girl. I have to go."
Tiara. "Okay, bye Vera."
"Byeee."
I walk to the door and knock but no one answered me. I'm very sure Calvin is around cause he told me to meet him today although I'm an hour past the time we're meant to meet. The door is open so I decided to enter. I walk to his room and hear some sounds and when I open the door I was very surprised. I saw my sister Selena on the bed naked with my boyfriend.
"What the f**k is going on here?"
They both pause. "Babe it's not what you think"
Selena. "Sis it was a mistake."
"You are both crazy. I don't want to ever see any of you again."
Selena "Please wait let me explain."
"Okay you want to start telling me how you came to my boyfriend's house and started having s*x with him?, There's nothing to explain."
Calvin. "Babe, I'm so sorry. You were not meant to find out like this."
"What the f**k do you mean by that?, how long has this been going on? You know what I don't want to hear it."
I stormed out of the room angrily. Selena is my younger sister, the age difference is a year. Ever since our parents died 7 years ago I've been taking care of her, I treat her like my daughter. She lives with me and I pay the rent, buy her food and clothes. She doesn't contribute financially, but this is how she repays me.
I was so distracted I didn't know when a truck appeared in front of me, before I could change course the car already hit me.
Beep beep beep.
Tiara my best friend is sitting beside me.
"What happened?"
"Oh thank God you're awake, you had a terrible accident."
"Ohh"
Selena walks in.
"Sis are you okay?"
"Get out."
Tiara obviously confused. "What's the problem?"
Selena refused to speak.
"Cat got your tongue?, why don't u tell her how I caught u having s*x with my boyfriend."
Tiara gasps. "What?, how could you do such to your sister?"
Selena sobs quietly "I'm sorry, it was a mistake."
"Get out of here, and when I leave this hospital I don't want to see any of your things in my house."
"But I don't have anywhere to go."
Tiara. "Vera you need to calm down."
"No, I don't want to ever see this ungrateful fool ever again. Get out!!!"
Selena still crying left the room.
Tiara. "Vera, I know what she did was really bad but she's still your sister."
"If she's really my sister she would have never crossed that line. How did she know I was here though?"
Tiara. "I called her, I didn't know what happened before."
"It's fine."
The doctor walks in. Hey Vera, how are you doing?
"I feel sore doctor, is there any major damage?"
Doctor. "Ooh no, but you have to stay here for two days so we would examine you properly.
The doctor leaves.
"Two days?, but I have to submit my final project that will guarantee my scholarship."
Tiara. "Vera you're priority should be your health."
" I know but u know I worked so hard for it."
Tiara. "Don't worry I'll help u submit it."
"Are you sure they would allow you given the fact that you were disqualified?"
For clarity purpose, there's a program that is going on and the winner gets a scholarship to Oxford university. This has been my dream and Tiara also decided to join the program but she was later disqualified because her project wasn't good enough.
Tiara. "Don't worry about that, I'll tell them your condition and they'll surely understand."
"Thank you, I don't know what I would have done without you. You're not just my best friend but my sister, you're even better than my own blood sister."
Tiara. "You know I love you right?"
"Yeah, I love you too."
