Chapter 94 - Chapter 92: I Am a Player!

The rumbling footsteps of marching troops and the earth-shaking battle cries undoubtedly evoked unpleasant memories for the ordinary citizens within the city. After all, not long ago, a group of lunatics had abducted their Sealord.

Behind tightly closed doors and windows, eyes filled with unconcealed fear watched the endless marching column. The chaotic array of banners made it impossible to distinguish which faction they belonged to.

However, the largest and highest banner among them, depicting a crookedly drawn dragon, undoubtedly signified that this army followed and pledged allegiance to House Targaryen.

So, the Targaryens had fought their way in. The citizens fell silent, secretly praying that the other side would not unleash a massacre.

They would not dedicate their lives to defending their homeland, but the moment the enemy breached it, they would pray for the enemy's kindness.

Perhaps this is why, throughout history and across the world, armies rarely recruited from the city populace.

"The enemy is in the Sealord's Palace!"

"Quick! Move out! Take the Sealord's Palace, and everyone splits what's inside equally!"

"Wealth is right before your eyes! For untold riches!"

"Heavy rewards for capturing or killing the representatives!"

The grassroots officers constantly boosted the morale of their mercenary subordinates, fearing that their men might drop the ball at the critical moment.

However, their worries were clearly unnecessary. Although the mercenaries were confused at first, they had all realized what was happening by now.

Basically, they didn't feel much about it. Earning money isn't shabby. Although I'm touched that Braavos pays me, now that my boss says he's taking us to rob them, I can only be even more touched.

To demonstrate their solidarity with Braavos in times of trouble, the five representatives lived in the Sealord's Palace day and night.

Now, however, they were caught blind. The mutinous mercenaries had completely blocked the Sealord's Palace, layer upon layer.

The Fleet Admiral's face was pale. As the only representative here who currently controlled military power, he had no way to notify the navy to send marines ashore, nor could he notify the Self-Defense Force to come to their rescue.

The only forces he could command now, apart from the few hundred guards inside the Sealord's Palace, didn't include a single person capable of holding a weapon!

Of course, the thirty or so navy sailors around him didn't count. After all, the palace guards were there to protect the representatives, while his navy lads were his private bodyguards solely for his protection.

Two different things.

"The war is over. Braavos's defeat is a fact. My King Viserys is merciful. If you come out and surrender, we will grant you the dignity of nobles. If you resist to the end, you will only find a dead end!"

Looking at the crossbows and the fully armored warriors waiting in full battle array inside the Sealord's Palace, Jiang Gan decided to try diplomacy before force.

The Fleet Admiral hesitated upon hearing this. Should he surrender?

"You won't betray us, right?"

The Merchant Representative looked at him and asked cautiously.

The Fleet Admiral turned back and gave him a smile that was uglier than crying.

The Freeholder and Citizen Representatives stood aside, already frightened out of their wits, too timid to speak.

As for that damned Moon Singer, no one had noticed where she went just now. Damn it, did she foresee the future and run away first? Or was there a secret passage in the Sealord's Palace?

Hmm?

A sudden flash of inspiration struck the Fleet Admiral's mind. He seemed to have found a way to survive without surrendering.

"Go find... Ah!"

Pfft! Pfft!

Just as the Fleet Admiral turned his head, seemingly about to issue an order, two knives stabbed into his kidneys one after another.

"Fuck!"

The Fleet Admiral twisted his face, looking in disbelief at the Merchant Representative in front of him, who wore a mournful expression.

Damn it, if you wanted to surrender, you should have said so earlier! I thought you'd rather die than yield!

"S-sorry... the people outside said they only want the mastermind behind the resistance against Viserys. The rest won't be condemned. You control the army, so naturally, you are the mastermind!"

It was clear that the Merchant Representative really didn't want to die.

The Fleet Admiral turned his head to look at the owner of the other knife, his deputy, Vice Admiral Magnus.

"You... betrayed me!" The Fleet Admiral endured the pain and questioned.

"The people outside said that whoever kills the mastermind gets promoted three ranks. I'm the Vice Admiral; one rank is enough." Magnus said word by word with a straight face.

Fuck!

In my next life, when encountering important matters, I will absolutely never get distracted again!

The fleet... the former Fleet Admiral's eyes rolled back, and he fell backward, dead.

"Brothers! Braavos is finished. If you don't want to die, listen to me!"

Magnus looked around at the people surrounding him. The guards who had watched helplessly as he and the Merchant Representative killed the Admiral lowered their heads one by one.

Just as Bloodbeard outside lost his patience and was about to unleash a massacre, the guards inside walked out carrying the Fleet Admiral's corpse.

"We surrender!"

"We submit to the True Dragon, King Viserys!"

"Long live Viserys!"

"Long live House Targaryen!"

The captives walked out of the palace in a line, raising their hands high and shouting slogans.

Bloodbeard and Jiang Gan looked at each other and smiled knowingly.

It's done!

Meanwhile, on the last forward base island not far from Braavos, soldiers from both sides were fighting selflessly.

The defenders resisted fiercely, relying on the natural barrier, while the attacking players took the lead, using their tried-and-true wave attack tactic, launching endless assaults.

Inside the military camp, White Cloaks hurriedly came and went, fulfilling their duties with dedication.

"Your Grace, I believe that from the moment of your birth, you were burdened with a great and sacred mission!

You will lead the great House Targaryen, lead the warriors of Targaryen to replace hoes with swords, and conquer every piece of land in this world..."

Viserys was receiving the "Caesar ideology" from Roland and a few newly joined rednecks, as usual.

Several people, faces red with excitement, guided Viserys: Westeros is but a part of the world, Essos is but a part of the world.

Heaven-sent conqueror Viserys, you were born to unite every piece of land in this world, and so on.

To put it bluntly, these guys spent all day thinking about how to encourage Viserys to establish a Great Roman Empire in this game world.

Viserys treated it as entertainment and laughed it off.

Not because he felt their thoughts were too radical.

Waving his hand didn't mean "you don't need to say more, I won't listen," but rather "do I need you to tell me?"

I am Caesar!

Inside the military camp, a soldier was happily relieving himself.

Suddenly!

His mouth and nose were covered, and immediately after, a dagger pierced his neck.

Blood spurted out, and the soldier struggled ceaselessly.

A moment later, the "soldier" walked out of the darkness unharmed. After looking around, he approached the crowd.

"Hey, damn it, what was the password for tonight's patrol again? Look at my memory, I don't know where I lost it."

The "soldier" affectionately put his arm around someone's shoulder and asked.

[Skeleton Grunt] replied grumpily:

"Aren't you that two..."

Hmm?

[Skeleton Grunt] frowned. Where is my buddy's game ID?

Immediately, he seemed to think of something. He was a bit uncertain, but he still replied:

"I am a player!"

The "soldier" nodded upon hearing this. "Damn, what a weird password, isn't it?"

Confirmed. The AFK bot isn't this smart.

A wicked smile appeared on [Skeleton Grunt]'s face:

"You can say that again..."
