Chapter 1 - about boys life

assume by typical boy you mean a person under the age of 16. My answer will be describing the guys from this age group. Just letting you know.

It seems funny to see the life of a boy as anything remotely problematic, especially when I'm surrounded by people who remember their childhood with fondness, calling them the best, carefree years of their lives.

Nowadays at least (I won't go into the past of my contemporaries, 'cause I'm not so sure of them), children are engrossed with their own problems as well. There's the pressure of studies, which has in many parts of India at least, has gotten quite high. There's the so-called teenage drama, where guys fight over what we (oh God I can't believe I'm saying this) adults find petty and insignificant. There's also the identity crisis, which can kick in during these years if you are unlucky.

Of course, the best thing about being an underage kid is the raging hormones. Oh how they torment them! This new development drives them nuts. They seclude themselves, shout at everything, and go on to become the part of the demographic which has the most viewership of porn.

Duh bro, that's obvious. And don't you go telling that you haven't gone around shaking the blanket in the dead of the night.

Another rather modern aspect of a modern kid is their technological toys. The… err, what letter we have assigned to this generation? We were the X generation, I think, Anyway, this generation has learnt to use mobiles and tablets even before learning to walk, and I ain't exaggerating. This causes undue stress, and not because they are just kids who have gotten their hands on adult technology (ooh I said it again! I feel so grown up already!). It's because they end up indulging in their toys, and not getting much of what you can call a social air. They also limit their world because of this addiction to gizmos.

God I am feeling more adult than the time when I was buying a laptop, or I was shaking hands with someone who'd have gotten a namaste as a greeting, or that time when a girl slightly older than me called me Uncle…...
