The sound of the gunfire outside was getting closer and closer into the foyer.
Inside, Dante's earpiece crackled with the frantic reports.
"The North Gate is under pressure," the head guard's voice said through the radio. "There are too many of them, Prince Dante. They don't care about their lives. They are throwing themselves into the fire to jam the gates."
Dante looked at Lucien and Adrian, who were also listening to the report. "They are coming for the house."
Lucien didn't wait for any command. He pulled a heavy shotgun from his back and took the silver imbued sword hung at the wall. "Finally," he growled. "I was getting tired of sitting in that car."
