Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1: The Outcasts of the Red Snow

Part 1: In the jagged obsidian peaks of the East Continent, we meet Soren. He is a sixteen-year-old boy living among demons. He is taller and leaner than the muscular demons, but he has no horns and no "Aura." He wears a leather headband 24/7 to hide his "shame." He is treated as a low-class servant by his adoptive parents, who mock his physical weakness. Soren secretly trains his mind, becoming a master of maps and tactical survival.

Part 2: The Girl with the Silk Ribbons

In the white-stone cities of the West Continent, Brio is the star pupil of the Aegis Academy. She is loud, cheerful, and incredibly fast. She uses a massive "Spirit Glaive" that glows with blue light. During the graduation tournament, a heavy wind-spell rips the ribbons from her hair. The crowd screams as two black, obsidian horns are revealed. The "Hero of the West" is suddenly branded a monster.

Part 3: Sent to the Grey Zone

The betrayal is swift. The Human Military, led by the cold Commander Vane, places a magic-dampening "Slave Collar" on Brio. They send her to the Clash Lands—the misty, dead zone between continents—to serve as a disposable scout. Simultaneously, Soren's demon village is raided for fodder. His "father" pushes him into the front lines, saying, "Go die like the human trash you are."

Part 4: The Sound of a Beating Heart

A skirmish breaks out in the heavy mist of the Clash Lands. Soren, having no magic to defend himself, falls into a deep ravine to escape a fireball. At the bottom, he finds Brio, who is sitting by a stream, crying and trying to hide her horns. Brio raises her weapon, but Soren doesn't run. He looks at her and says, "You have the same look in your eyes that I see in my mirror." They realize they are both outcasts from the wrong worlds. They take shelter in a cave as the war rages above them.
