"Anyway, Mjolnir is in my hands now! Whether I return it or not is up to me!"

"Hahahahaha!"

Kristen laughed until tears nearly came out. "Then he's dumbfounded now. The hammer is with you, and he can't take it back!"

Just then, Cassius's phone vibrated frantically. It was Chris calling.

He picked up and put it on speaker.

Chris's voice immediately came through, laced with a sobbing tone.

"Bro! Cass! My dear brother! I was wrong! Spare my life!"

It seemed Chris wasn't stupid; he had realized what happened!

"I was confused for a moment!"

Chris pleaded. "Help me keep it safe for a while. I'll come get it from you in a few days!"

"Keep it safe?"

Cassius snorted. "Chris, this is important property of the production crew, worth a fortune. I'm harboring stolen goods now, aren't I?"

"Don't say that! Aren't we brothers!"

Chris panicked and started grasping at straws.

"How about this! Cass! Keep the hammer at your place! You can play with it for a few days!"

"Consider it loaned to you for research! Let you feel the divine power of Asgard!"

Chris raised the stakes on the other end.

"The crew has a backup anyway! Let's just say the old one was damaged!"

"Think about it, how cool would it be to have Mjolnir at home! And this way, when I come to visit, I can legitimately touch it. It's like we're joint custodians! Perfect!"

Cassius was speechless listening to this twisted logic.

This Australian would say anything to cover his lie.

If Cassius hadn't discovered it first, who knows how much trouble he would have been in!

Now Cassius could take this opportunity to bring Mjolnir home, and Chris would still take the blame!

No man could refuse having Mjolnir in his house!

He glanced at Kristen beside him, who was suppressing laughter.

Cassius deliberately paused for a few seconds before speaking slowly into the phone.

"A few days isn't enough. At least a month!"

"Done! One month! I promise not to tell anyone! Just the three of us know!"

Chris guaranteed hastily.

"Alright!"

Cassius pretended to agree reluctantly. "Since you're so sincere, I'll help you research it for a month!"

"Great! Thanks, brother! You saved my life!"

Chris cheered on the other end. "It's a deal! Talk later!"

Hanging up, Cassius and Kristen looked at each other and burst out laughing.

"So we're taking Mjolnir back to Beverly Hills now?"

Kristen found this absurd and exciting.

"Looks like it!"

Cassius nodded, glancing toward the trunk. "Hope the community security won't ask for a luggage check!"

Kristen whistled. "Cool~ Now our house has a treasure to guard it!"

Back at the familiar big house in Beverly Hills.

Cassius dragged the heavy suitcase into the living room, feeling like he was smuggling a case of stolen money.

Kristen threw her backpack on the sofa and rushed to the suitcase, her eyes shining like a child discovering a new toy.

"Quick, open it! Let me see the local specialty from Asgard!"

Cassius resignedly unzipped it, moved his clothes aside, and revealed the bulging dark blue gym bag.

He unzipped the gym bag. Several rolled-up jeans and T-shirts scattered, revealing the hard object wrapped in soft cloth inside.

They looked at each other, both a bit excited.

Cassius reached out, pushed aside the clothes acting as padding, and gripped the cold handle.

With a bit of effort, he lifted the hammer out of the bag!

It was the original Mjolnir prop.

It gleamed under the soft living room lights, exquisitely crafted, heavy and substantial.

Held casually in Cassius's hand, the scene was a bit surreal.

"Wow..."

Kristen gasped softly, extending a finger to carefully touch the hammerhead.

She walked around the hammer, a sly smile appearing on her face.

"So, we're accomplices now?"

Thud!

A dull sound.

Cassius placed the hammer on the expensive solid wood coffee table.

Kristen picked up the hammer, trying to swing it one-handed, but almost dropped it and quickly supported it with her other hand.

"Tsk, pretty heavy! That guy Chris swings this thing around fighting every day; his arm strength is legit."

Feeling playful, she held the hammer up to her face, cleared her throat, and imitated Chris's deep voice from the movie, trying to look majestic as she faced Cassius.

"Mortals! Kneel! Face your god!"

Cassius laughed at her chunibyo performance, crossed his arms, leaned back on the sofa, and cooperatively made an exaggerated surrender gesture.

"Yes, my goddess. What are your orders?"

Kristen put down the hammer and laughed herself.

She walked up to Cassius, putting her hands on his shoulders, her gray-green eyes flashing with mischief and a different kind of light.

Kristen leaned forward slightly, almost pressing against him, her voice lowered and seductive.

"Orders? Hmm... since we have the hammer, why don't we play something special?"

Cassius looked at her face close to his, smelled her scent, and the fatigue from the long trip and the hammer fiasco vanished instantly, replaced by heat.

He raised an eyebrow. "How special?"

Kristen's fingers slid from his shoulders to his chest, drawing circles lightly, the corner of her mouth hooking into a wicked smile.

"Like role-play?"

"You're the fallen Thor, exiled to Midgard, stripped of divine power..."

Her fingers continued downwards, her tone becoming more ambiguous.

"And I'm the Earth scientist who discovered you and wants to do something to you?"

This setting stunned Cassius for a moment, then he felt like laughing and crying.

This woman's imagination was as quirky as ever!

But he had to admit, hearing her say it, the atmosphere instantly became charged.

"Scientist?"

Cassius put his arm around her waist, pulling her into his embrace, looking down at her.

"I think you're a witch here to steal divine power!"

"Say what you want!"

Kristen stood on tiptoes, kissed his chin, then moved up, finally stopping on his lips.

When they parted, both were breathing a bit heavily.

Kristen took his hand, glanced at Mjolnir on the coffee table, and smiled.

"Bring it! Add some context!"

Cassius looked at the hammer and thought this game was ridiculous enough.

But he liked it!

Cassius obediently picked up the hammer, his other hand held by Kristen, as they stumbled towards the bedroom.

The bedroom door closed, and Kristen's laughter could be faintly heard from inside.

"Mr. Fallen Thor, your hammer doesn't seem to obey you anymore?"

"Do you need me, a scientist, to give you a physical exam to see where the problem is?"

............

The role-play lasted quite a while.

During the process, the expensive prop hammer was once forgotten in a corner, then somehow ended up in Kristen's hand.

Luckily, it was sturdy enough.

When everything calmed down, only the sound of their intertwined breathing remained in the room.

Sweat soaked the sheets, and Mjolnir lay crookedly by the pillow, looking a bit innocent.

Kristen collapsed in Cassius's arms, too tired to move a finger, but with a satisfied smile on her face. She gently kicked the hammer next to her with her toe.

"Hey... this thing seems more useful than I imagined!"

Cassius closed his eyes, feeling the exhaustion and relaxation of his body. Hearing this, he couldn't help but chuckle low in his chest.

He reached out and pushed the hammer further to the side of the bed so it wouldn't poke anyone.

"If Chris knew how we used his 'wife', he might cry."

"Who cares!"

Kristen snuggled deeper into his arms, finding a more comfortable position, and mumbled:

"Rent is paid anyway; usage rights are ours!"
