Chapter 4 - Chapter 3.5: Helpful notes

To help with understanding for those who don't know. A "grade" or "Rank" is effectively a unit of ten.

E-rank = 10 (10x stronger than a normal human)

D-rank = 20 (20x stronger)

C-rank = 30 (30x stronger)

B-Rank = 40 (40x stronger)

A-Rank = 50 (50x stronger)

The exception to this rule is the "EX" grade. EX does not mean 100 or "MAX." It stands for "Exception." It represents an ability or stat that is so fundamentally broken or unique that it cannot be measured by the standard scale at all.

Current Status:

Strength: C

Endurance: C

Agility: C

Mana: C

Luck: A

Unique Origin: Convergence- all abilities/mysteries can be replicated if the right conditions are met. Due to his Origin control over supernatural forces is higher than normal; Think similar to the Six eyes (not that he knows this yet)

Going even further into the ranks there are ways where a C-rank can outpower a higher rank or any rank can surpass another. There exists a temporary modifier within the verse which is shown by plus signs.

(+): Doubles the numerical value for a short burst (e.g., Rank C is 30, but C+ bursts to 60).

(+ +): Triples the value. This means that while someone who is normally a 30, under the right conditions (like using Reinforcement), they can momentarily hit with the force of a 60 or 90 depending on enhancement.

So, Kye's stats (except for Luck) are all effectively 30x that of a normal human. While Strength, Endurance, and Agility are self-explanatory physical metrics, allow me to explain how Mana and Luck function, as they are the most important parameters for a Magus.

Mana Stat Formula: Capacity + Output = Mana Stat

Casting Formula: Capacity + Output + Control = Successful Spell.

Now, arguably, the most misunderstood stat is Luck. Most assume it simply governs gambling or finding money on the street, but in this system, Luck goes beyond mere probability and operates on a conceptual scale.

First, understand the "Rule of Favor": Someone with higher Luck will always be superior in a stalemate. Even if two fighters have the exact same physical stats and skill level, if their Luck parameters differ, the person with the higher Luck will win 100% of the time (conceptually speaking, disregarding external interference). The world itself essentially "tilts" the battlefield in their favor.

However, the true power of Luck lies in its ability to Defy Fate. In this universe, there are attacks and situations that deal in "Absolutes". Outcomes that are pre-determined by the laws of magic or physics (example: "This attack will pierce the heart"). A normal person cannot dodge an absolute. Luck is the capacity to reject that absolute. It allows one to force a "check" against destiny, turning a "100% chance of death" into a "1% chance of survival."

For those needing an example, think of Cú Chulainn (Lancer) from Fate/stay night.

The spear he possesses–Gae Bolg– Its ability is a curse that reverses Cause and Effect.

The "Cause": The spear is thrust.

The "Effect": The heart is pierced.

Gae Bolg reverses this order. The moment its true name is spoken, the "Effect" (Heart is pierced) is established as a fact on the timeline before the spear is even thrust. Because the result is already written, no amount of speed, skill, or armor can dodge it. You cannot dodge a wound that already exists.

The only way to survive is Luck.

When Artoria (Saber) fought him, she didn't survive because she was faster. She survived because her Luck (Rank B) was high enough to force a "reroll" on destiny. She defied the absolute law of the curse, twisting the "fact" just enough that the spear hit her shoulder instead of her heart.

Anyone with lower Luck would have died instantly, 100% of the time. That is the power of the Luck parameter.

Remember that the luck stat isn't controllable, these situations occur outside of the person's control.
