Chapter 2: The Zero Legend
Zero avoided the attack, a thought racing through his mind. "I wonder why I feel so much power. These hands make me feel like I'm beyond everything. I don't know why, but all I wanted was to put all of this into my punch."
His enemy was slow, while Zero was fast—blindingly fast. He delivered a multitude of punches in rapid succession. As he struck, he couldn't help but wonder: "Why do I feel like I'm piercing through everything?"
After the onslaught, he took a moment to process what had happened. Now that he knew his potential, a new resolve took hold. "I found out. I'm going to do everything I want. Let's make this interesting!"
The enemy tried to attack again, but Zero's speed was overwhelming. He delivered another barrage of multiple punches. With every strike, he felt his power surging even higher. The enemy couldn't stand up again and finally collapsed.
Zero reflected on his new reality. He was the one who used to be scared of death. "I was thinking that having something like this makes life good, but maybe my normal life wasn't that bad. Are they going to come after me? Let them. But first, I think I'm going to play around... Hahaha!"
Walking down the street, Zero pondered the situation. "So, the 30 have the same power as me? I have this power, but I didn't ask myself how I got it or how they know my place. I'm going to be awake all the time because of that... Hmmm."
Zero wanted to test his power again. He waited for his hands to turn red, but he didn't think much of it. When he looked down, his hands had returned to normal. "What? So how am I going to get it back?"
Panic began to set in. "Get back! Get back!" he shouted, trying to punch the air, but nothing happened. No matter how many times he tried, the power wouldn't trigger. Zero decided to hide, his mind spiraling. "Now what? Am I fucked? The 30 are after me and want to kill me, and I don't know how to get it back. I'm so desperate."
In his frustration, Zero shook his hand vigorously from top to bottom—like he was shaking a drink while holding his fist tight. Suddenly, he saw the red glow returning to his hands. "Thank God! So that's how it works. I thought I wasn't going to get it back, but man, the way this power works is kinda cool."
Zero continued walking around, repeatedly shaking his hands to reactivate the power just because of how cool it looked. "I think I'll call it the 'Rush Phase,'" Zero said to himself. "Because when I activate my power, my confidence returns, and it's as if I can kill anything and everything. When it's finished—when I reach my limits—I wait a little while and then reactivate it. Now, let's practice my fighting style! Hahaha!"
He laughed enthusiastically, sounding like a world champion. Zero practiced his punches, refining what would become his signature style. "This is going to be my combat, my move... I'm going to call it: The Pierce Red Frequency. Wow, this is cool."
