Entering the Arena: Isami vs. Fanyori
Isami Watanabe of the Third Division strode confidently, surrounded by the green aura of his renowned Earth Wind Magic. Opposite him stood Fanyori Sotazi of the Seventh Division, radiating intense purple energy with his Purple Wind Magic.
Speaker: "The fourth match! Earth and Wind Magic versus Purple Wind and Rush Magic! Who will set the pace first?"
Hanami: This is a tough battle, isn't it, Yatomio?
Tomio Fujiwara, captain of the Third Division and son of the Fujiwara clan: That's right, it's a wind-versus-wind battle.
Yahiko: Interesting. They're both on the same level.
Rindo: What sets them apart is that they both possess similar magical abilities.
The Battle Begins:
Isami planted his feet firmly in the mat, unleashing his "Guardian Roots" technique. Sharp green crystals sprouted from beneath the ring, forming a wall of both defense and offense. Speaker: Look, Isami started attacking and defending simultaneously. This is what Level A should be like.
As for Fanori, he moved like a purple whirlwind.
He said, "Purple Wind Magic, Bemund (Wind Particles)."
He gathered energy orbs in his palm and released them, which exploded upon impact with Isami's ground defenses.
The confrontation between them was evenly matched on both offense and defense.
Isami: You're strong, Fanyori, but my defense isn't just a wall. It's earth-wind magic, Bagur (hollow earth pits). Beneath Fanyori, earth pits began to appear with force, pulling him in intensely. Speaker: What a showdown! Two A-level monsters! Yui watched the scene, unable to find Ivan, whose true form was hidden. Yui: I thought you'd join in, but I was wrong. I have to do my best to show you how much I've evolved, Ivan. Ivan watched the battle with terrifying calm, knowing he was under the watchful eyes of the Holy Heroes. He also sensed the presence of another mysterious figure—the Holy Heroes. They had strong connections with angels and gods, so he had to observe in complete silence.
The fight between Isami and Fanyori resumed, their strikes incredibly powerful, cheered on by their respective squad members.
Fanyori: Purple Wind Dome (Hidden Waves).
He launched his attack towards Isami, who dodged with his impressive technique.
Climax: The Final Clash
The fight intensified to such a degree that the arena began to crack under the combined force of the two opposing spells. Isami concentrated all his energy in his right hand, unleashing a giant green vortex of natural energy. Simultaneously, Fanyori gathered a concentrated purple energy sphere, resembling a miniature black hole.
The two hurtled towards the center, their forces colliding in a spectacular explosion that blended green and purple, blinding the audience and officials for a few seconds.
To everyone's astonishment.
End: A Tie
When the dust settled, Isami emerged, leaning on one knee, gasping for breath, his crystalline magic slowly fading. Meanwhile, Fanyori stood with difficulty, his purple aura completely extinguished, gazing appreciatively at his opponent, before both of them fainted.
The Spokesperson (in an amazed voice): "What a battle! They both completely exhausted their energy at the same time! The official result of this match is... a draw!" In this case, neither of them qualified, but they had put on a great fight.
Everyone applauded them enthusiastically.
The Competition Spokesperson: And now, the next match will be between Dan Wataru of the First Division and Tao Sutami of the Ninth Division.
Match Five: Arrogance vs. Resilience
As soon as Isami and Fanyori left the ring to thunderous applause, the crowd began chanting new names.
"Dan! Dan! Dan!" the fans shouted excitedly.
The Spokesperson raised his voice: "And now, Match Five! From the First Division, the undefeated fighter, the master of immense earth magic and yellow thunder magic... Dan Taro!"
Ivan: Yellow thunder, huh! Dan strode confidently through the fighters' entrance. His smug smile drew cheers from some in the crowd, while others squirmed at his arrogance.
He raised his arms as if to acknowledge the cheers of the crowd, though half the audience wasn't cheering for him. "Yes, applaud me! I'm going to win the championship!"
"What a show-off!" one of the spectators muttered.
At the other end, Tao Sutami of the Ninth Division emerged, his face tense and reflecting his apprehension about facing Dan.
"And on the other side... Tao Sutami from the Ninth Division!" the speaker announced.
Tao slowly advanced toward the ring, his eyes fixed on his opponent. Almost no one cheered for him; he wasn't as well-known as Dan.
The Ninth Division members cheered Tao loudly.
Dan looked Tao up and down, then laughed loudly. "Oh, you scum of the Ninth Division, as weak as ever."
"What did you say?" Naofumi snapped.
"That's the truth. You're weak."
"Calm down, Naofumi."
"Can't you see that..." (What's happening? Their expressions have changed.)
"Answer me when I speak!" Dan yelled angrily.
Tao slowly raised his head, looking at Dan with eyes as calm as a still lake. "I'm here to fight, not to talk."
The match begins: Ground vs. Ground
The starting whistle blows.
Dan stomped his foot hard, and the arena shook beneath their feet. "I'll show you the true meaning of Earth Magic! The Wall of Rocks!" Alimenor! The ground exploded before Dan, and a massive, three-meter-high rock wall rose up, advancing toward Tao like a frozen wave.
Tao: As expected from a Level A, but what happened in that dungeon changed us all. I won't run from you. Give me what you've got.
Tao raised his hand, summoning rock projectiles to aim at Dan, then he shifted the ground.
From beneath his feet, brown earth spears sprang forth. They weren't at Dan's magic level, but they were thicker and more solid.
The rock wall crashed into the rock balls and spears in a violent collision. Rocks shattered and flew in every direction.
Dan raised his eyebrows in surprise: "What?" "Did he hold out?"
Tao looked at his magic, which was slowly fading, then raised his eyes to Dan. "I held out... but not for long."
Dan snorted arrogantly. "I see you understand! Your weak magic won't withstand my power! I'll make an example of you for anyone who dares to challenge me!"
Climax: Outstanding Resilience
Dan launched a relentless attack. Wave after wave of rocks and earth hurled at Tao. He wanted to crush him quickly to demonstrate his power to the crowd.
The members of the Ninth Division were furious.
"Take this!" "Stone sword!" Dan roared, conjuring a massive stone sword in his right hand and charging toward Tao.
Tao stumbled backward, his eyes scanning every move. He braced his hand with his magic, and the stone sword slammed roughly against his fist.
Tao flinched from the force of the blow, but he held on. Blood spurted from his hand.
"You're... stubborn!" Dan roared, striking again and again.
The audience fell silent. They were witnessing Tao's remarkable resilience against the arrogant Dan, his unwavering strength despite his own limitations.
"Haven't you learned to give up yet?" Dan shouted, delivering another powerful blow.
Tao took a step back, then another, then stood. He glanced at his dwindling magic, then at his weary body. He raised his head to the heavens for a moment, then lowered his gaze to his opponent.
"Give up?" Tao shouted. "In the Ninth Division, we learn one thing... to fight to the last breath."
Dan shook his head angrily. "Fine! If you want to die, I'll make it happen!"
Dan gathered all his strength into his fists and slammed down with tremendous force. The ground beneath Tao's feet exploded, and sharp rocks shot up from every direction.
Tao jumped at the last second, but one of the rocks grazed his leg deeply. He fell to the ground in agony, blood pooling on the arena floor.
"Tao!" one of his teammates shouted from the stands.
Tao struggled to his feet, looking at his injured leg, then at Dan, who stood there grinning triumphantly.
"It's over, you Ninth Division scum. Give up."
The End: An Honorable Defeat
Tao looked up at the sky again. He remembered his training with the Ninth Division and then closed his eyes.
"I don't give up... ever."
He opened his eyes and slammed his hand against the ground. From beneath his feet, earth spears sprang forth, but they were too weak to offer any defense.
"Is this your last stand?" Dan chuckled.
Dan stepped forward, raising his rocky fist to deliver the final blow.
Tao fell to the ground, his earth magic completely gone, his weary body surrendering.
The referee raised Dan's hand. "The winner... Dan Taro of the First Division!"
The crowd erupted in applause, but it wasn't the usual cheering. There was respect in the eyes of the audience, but it was directed at the man lying on the ground.
The medics approached Tao and carried him away on a stretcher.
From the stands, the members of the Ninth Division cheered him on.
"The sixth showdown is coming!" the speaker announced. "Prepare for more excitement!"
