Hello everyone, I hope you're doing very well.
I just wanted to inform you that starting next week, I'll have my end-semester exams for two weeks. For the coming week, I actually have a full holiday for preparation. It should have been good news… but unfortunately, it's not.
Today, I finally sat down to properly start my revision, and after struggling the entire day, I came to a painful realization — my preparation is not good at all. I've forgotten quite a lot from the past semester… or honestly, from the past year.
Originally, I thought I would study 6–7 hours daily for this week and then walk into the exams confidently and "crack them with golden colors" or whatever the phrase is. But now, I've had to change my plan. It looks like I need to study 10–11 hours per day just to properly cover everything. And after that level of exhaustion, I simply don't think I'll be able to write another chapter.
So for the next week, I won't be releasing any chapters.
I know this is sudden, especially since for the past 35–40 days I've been posting one chapter daily — around seven to eight chapters per week. Taking a one-week hiatus feels bad, but it's necessary.
In my previous novel, even during exams, I managed to release two to four chapters. But back then, I relied heavily on AI. Just like this author's note — I spoke my thoughts and had ChatGPT organize them properly. At that time, a chapter would take me 30 minutes to an hour.
Now, however, I'm writing 1500+ words manually — typing, editing, refining — and it takes at least 1.5 to 2 hours per chapter. And that's on a normal chapters.
This current arc makes it even harder. It's filled with ideology, conflicts, long conversations, and emotional arguments — especially involving characters like Obito and Jiraiya.
Writing this isn't just about imagining action. I have to think carefully:
What would Obito say?
How would Jiraiya respond?
What's the appropriate emotional reaction?
Which points should be emphasized?
Who should speak, and who should remain silent?
It takes almost an entire day to complete one chapter — thinking about the plot in the morning, writing in the evening, and editing at night. During exam time, that level of focus just isn't possible.
And this isn't only about this arc. A small spoiler — the next arc will involve the Seven Tails, some extortion and blackmail elements, and something close to a Fourth Great Ninja War–level conflict. Again, lots of meetings, negotiations, ideological clashes — complex writing.
Ironically, while I enjoy writing these arcs even more than fight scenes, they require much more mental effort. Fights are comparatively easier — you imagine and write. But ideological conflicts require balance and precision.
So for the next week, I truly won't be able to write or post chapters. I'm deeply sorry for this.
As for the following two weeks of exams — I'm hoping that with my so-called "heavenly Asian genes," I can cover most of the syllabus during this preparation week. Usually, after finishing an exam on the day itself, I completely lose interest in studying for the rest of the day. So during those periods, I should be able to write. I'm aiming for 5–7 chapters per week during exams. I can't promise 100%, but I'll try my best.
Once again, I'm really sorry for the short hiatus. I hope you all understand. I'm hopeful that after these three weeks, everything will return to normal.
And if any of you also have exams around this time — end-semester or otherwise — then I sincerely wish you all the best.
If you're a student, stay strong.
And thank you for your constant support.
