Luna's POV
Who is beautiful like a flower? Lyra—that's me. All the senior fairies say that, maybe because I'm younger than all of them.
I have powers, but they aren't very strong—just growing plants and talking to animals. My master, Isla, tells me my powers are not useless. She says if I practice and learn to use other abilities, there's a chance I can unlock greater powers.
My master is very sweet. She cares for me like her own daughter. But I don't know why she never lets me go outside our cottage. I dream of discovering Fairyland. I don't know much about the world beyond our home, but I read that there are two realms—the Fairy Realm and the Devil's Realm.
Devils are evil. They harm fairies and steal their powers. Maybe that's why my master keeps me inside.
But today, I made up my mind. I would leave when my master fell asleep.
I waited… but she didn't want to sleep yet. She said she had too much work to do and told me to go to bed. I lay down, unsure when I fell asleep.
In the middle of the night, I heard voices from my master's room. My master was begging them not to take me away.
Before I could move, the devils entered my room. My master stood in front of me, saying, "Please, if you want to take her, then kill me instead."
One devil raised his power toward my master. My heart raced. I quickly stepped forward.
"Don't kill her, please. Take me instead!"
The next thing I knew, darkness swallowed me.
