August 9th 2025...
The next day Hirata wakes up in the morning, though he had a couple weeks off from his university so he had no plans that day. As he is brushing his teeth, he looks at the mirror and talks to himself (a soliloquy)
"What was that feeling yesterday... it was strange, some I have never felt like before."
"Is it possibly connected to what I am going through?"
"The thing is it felt warm yet very hostile, as if there are two parties clashing... WELL, what am I even saying anyway, that's probably because I was fatigued I guess..."
He finished brushing his teeth then he goes to the living room and grabs his phone and then calls Haruto.
"Hey Haruto! The weather seems nice today, want to go on a walk? I have no plans today."
Haruto responds "Sure, We'll meet at 2PM."
Then Hirata hangs up.
On the other hand, Vanessa in her house getting up from bed she says "(Yawns)- I wonder if these two are going to meet today, let me give them a call."
She picks up her phone and dials Hirata's number.
The phone rings for couple seconds...
Hirata picks up the phone and says "Hello, It's Hirata Alex."
Vanessa "Of course I know! To think you have not saved my number, what a shame!"
Hirata replies instantly with an awkward and urgent tone "N-NO! YOU GOT THE WRON-"
Then he gets interrupted by Vanessa "Just say it! You forgot to save my number... it's fine after all, I'm new..."
Hirata calms down and says "Well... I'm sorry Vanessa, I owe you an apology, anyway your number is saved now and I think we should make a group for the three of us."
Vanessa replies "Yup, that is the ideal thing to do for easier and broad communication between us.".
She continues shortly after "Oh! I almost forgot! Do you want to meet today? The three of us! You, I, and Haruto."
Hirata responds "By all means! We were going to call you anyway, though I did not have your number saved (giggles)."
Vanessa "Sure, See ya soon guys! Do not be late."
Then she hangs up.
Vanessa gets ready. She showers, wears her makeup and makes herself ready, then she goes to the living room and takes out a pen, a fountain pen that looks like a Cidar tree, but it is not an ink pen, it is a pen that is fueled her own powers, then she starts drawing on the air a circular shape, not a portal but something for communication, it provides both visual and auditory communication (Sound and Video).
She draws a circle with a symbol of a cidar tree with a contemplative expression while sitting.
Then suddenly a live video starts playing. Then the silver haired man appears.
Vanessa says "Oh! Hi there, Amaru!"
Amaru (The Silver Haired Man) responds "Oh... Hi Vanessa, how are you doing?"
Vanessa Answers "I'm fine, feeling kind of tired actually..."
Amaru responds "Now let's get straight to the point-" Vanessa interrupts him
Vanessa "Yes, you don't even need to remind me there, I think you fought a bit harder than you were supposed to be yesterday, I literally felt your ritual energy from a far distance you know!"
Amaru answers "Of course you did... You know what I am talking about."
Vanessa "Yes, he actually sensed it! I could immediately tell by his reaction, though he doesn't realize it yet, he thought it was just being his fatigue kicking in from the exams."
Amaru "I see, so it's him... to think someone possess this amount of Linguistic Energy..."
Amaru Continues "So, other than that, have you noticed anything?"
Vanessa answers "Yes, I've been stalking Hirata for a while, as well Haruto."
Amaru talks to himself while Vanessa is talking "I see, Hirata is his name..."
He asks Vanessa "Haruto? Who is that?"
Vanessa answers "Haruto is not an ordinary person as well, I sensed Ritual energy around him though it's faint."
Amaru answers quietly "Haruto huh? So he is the same as me, he possess the branch as I do, Interesting."
Amaru asks Vanessa "Now let's get back to the point, so did Hirata notice his powers? Is he planning anything? We need to make sure."
Vanessa answers "yes, I have been stalking them for a while, I saw Hirata accidentally Awakening his powers two times, the first one happened in June 10th 2025 which is actually not that long ago, which is recent. I remember Walking the University's hallway, it was dusk near evening, I saw the professor leaving and no one was in the classroom, Hirata was the only one left, I think he stayed to copy notes from the professor, As I was was to pass by the classroom I heard Hirata saying something in Old English, most likely it was the example the professor had written on the board. Moment later I felt an immense amount of pressure I felt like I could be crushed at any moment... it was very intense and I barely managed to stay silent, truly it was terrifying, to think someone has that much capacity and capability of Linguistic Energy... though he was more shocked than me, He did not realize back what was going on."
Amaru responds "did not? That is past tense, so he does now?"
Vanessa "Well yes to an extent and his knowledge is still very limited and nowhere enough."
Amaru "I see, Please go on."
Vanessa "before I tell you the second time I witnessed his power awakened I got to tell you how he got that insignificant amount of knowledge, though I would not call it insignificant really."
She continues " three weeks passed normally, so until July 1st 2025, when Hirata Alex met Haruto Okabe. It was like any university student's meeting a new friend, except it wasn't totally normal if we are taking things in a deeper manner, as both are getting to know each other Hirata tells him about the classroom that happened three weeks before, the thing is unlike a normal human being - he did not make fun of Hirata or doubt him that much, I could tell even when he was during the beginning of the conversation, though he did believe him and told him that, Haruto is the one who shared what he knows regarding the branch of Language and its powers, Though I still do not know how Haruto got this information but based from what I heard and his expressions, he seemed sad and did not want to talk about it, he even warned Hirata not to speak in Older versions of English."
Amaru "I see, that explains it, we should not ignore Haruto Okabe I guess...'
Vanessa "Absolutely, the next thing that happened is the exam incident August 1st, 2025, that's when Hirata accidentally awakens his power the second time during an exam, though no students noticed thankfully. And that's where you found that residue of Linguistic Energy."
Vanessa adds "Now both are planning to go a deserted place and test Hirata's Linguistic powers... and that sums it up."
Amaru "I see... now everything is in place, that's why the residual Linguistic Energy was in that classroom specifically."
Amaru "We need to see how capable Hirata is, it is still early to judge his capabilities."
He adds with a sharp tone "You better not expose yourself or even cause suspicion, if you really care about these two."
Vanessa answers with a warm, quiet, and genuine smile "Of course, after all these two have seen me as a true friend, not as flesh for sex... I'll forever cherish this friendship."
Amaru "I got it, I have some business to take care of, stay in touch."
Vanessa "Okay, Bye!"
Then Vanessa pulls out the same pen she drew the and presses against the same circle she had drawn then the circle burns and vanishes.
Vanessa talks to her self "Now it is time to meet with the gang I guess... I will protect these two no matter what! They are too important to me to leave them be."
Then she dresses up and leaves to meet Hirata and Haruto.
