Chapter 7 - Mission #1

Twighlight looked Snow up and down. He wondered if she really was the princess he met in the morning. Her aura had changed like a different person. He asked his questions only to get a

from her. He put his questions in various ways only to get the same answer in a round about way. Finally he came to the conclusion that she was the princess's subordinate and not herself. He internally bad mouthed the princess for being lazy, and relaxed his formal demeanor. He explained to her that they had to check security in the forested region. Snow hesitantly asked if it was only two of them. He replied in affirmative, oblivious to her concerns.

She gently requested another companion. Twighlight was perplexed, he thought of a reason why she wanted another person's presence. Nevertheless, he called for dusk. She immediately said she preferred a lady. Twighlight once again made a call asking for female staff. She apologized to Twighlight for her requests. He had been told that female staff was all occupied with work. She dismissed her request and asked him to continue the mission. They headed to the forest and began scanning the area, Twighlight had a flame in his hand, caused by a relic. he in turn was surprised to see a blue-iridescent glow from snow's hand. A delicate lamp lit the way for her with light like that of the moon. The iridescence caused a wave of familiarity in Twighlight's heart but he ignored it as the mission held precedence to him. They scouted the area for two hours and finally came back to a terrace. He extended his hand to shake on the good work but Snow didn't take it. He realised something, Snow is a girl, he had been so used to working with Dusk, he completely forgot the religious rulings about dealing with the opposite gender. he then realized the reason for her hesitation and instantly apologized. She brushed it off and left the scene.

Alex was still embarrassed. Then his thoughts came to the blue lamp. He had seen that glow some where before as well. Suddenly, his head throbbed, he came on his knees. He had reached the palace gates, habitually he had headed for the palace instead of pearl sectors. The empress of Ghana, Anna was taking a walk then, she noticed a figure collapsed infront of the gate, she hurried to it and screamed for her husband. She hugged Alex as she yelled for her husband to bring a physician with him. The boy was taken to his room for rest. The doctor said it was the trigger acting up again.

Anna and Theodore were both tensed. Then Theodore realized something and laughed with a pained expression.

"What's wrong? "

Anna asked concerned.

"You remember the last time this happened?"

He asked.

"It was during the council meeting"

Anna replied.

"Alex told me nine years ago after the day he returned to the palace that Aqua helped him"

Theodore said.

"So?"

Anna asked not understanding the relation.

"In that meeting, we were discussing about whether or not to allow Aqua into Ghana"

Theodore prompted.

"Its because of a little girl!"

Anna said bewildered.

"Was I mistaken about the nature of the people of Wales"

Theodore suggested with a sigh.

"A curse?"

Anna asked with a distressed expression. Vincent who heard all this from behind a pillar vowed to avenge his brother's suffering.

"So Alex was right, the agent isn't actually Aqua, but her subordinate or else he would be affected every time"

Theodore said getting enraged as he thought about the situation.

It was like this, that the whole family of Ghana turned against the little girl.
