Chapter 2 - Chapter 1:- Stealing a sword.

Incase you forgot what happened earlier, i was sent to the world of the game i had played for the past 9 months. its called Black Fantasia. the red-haired emo man who called himself the administrator didnt care to explain why he specifically chose me.

Im still mad about that, he literally sent me to a huge field of grass and expects me to just find my fucking way through it? these blades are like the same height as me! its like walking through the patch of grass you'd find in a neighbours backyard, except that these grass look like they were grown properly in fertilised soil. you'd never find grass this big except in a farmland.

anyway, im so lost as to where im even supposed to be going after this. whatever, i'll just walk through the grass and hope i end up finding a route that i can take to the nearest town. if im lucky, it might even be the starting town "Vildeva". Vildeva is where players who recently joined the game get brought to. it provides new players with the personalised questboard to increase their levels and is responsible for helping players pick their first ever class.

However, if im unlucky i might end up in "Groveburn". This is the worst place to have your humble beginning. why? let me explain. to start off, you dont even get to pick a class of your own because there just isnt a questmaster here. so, no quests and not even an option to pick a class. just a shabby little town where you can buy potions and absolute dogshit gear for like 10 times the prize you get in normal towns ingame.

I need to stop yapping and just moving, goddamn.

3 minutes later, it now went from a field of grass to a dark, spooky ass forest. im talking about those forests you see in a horror movie? yeah those. branches super thin and leaves all greeny with the roots poking out its trunk.

I've been walking for like 50 minutes now and a few meters ahead of me, i see the peak of a brick roof. holy shit, i actually found a village taking a random route that i dont even know about! alright, i need to be humble. i could've ended up even more lost in that forest and further put my miserable self in danger.

now that im out of that creepy forest, i rustle away from the bushes reaching the side of the walkway that was neatly laid in gravel and stone. in front of me was a visual that i would have never been able to see, if i had not been transmigrated. there were rows and rows of stores in front and next to me selling all kinds of items from potions, armor and weapon gear. walking through this bazaar, i could see a large chapel at the very end of the walkway.

If my memory serves me right, im currently at "Brickstone". This town is a culturally important town as game events like pet introduction or festival events mainly happens in this town and the chapel at the very end of this town is the place where players could be blessed by priests. getting blessed by the priests means you have been buffed and all your abilities are increased by 10%.

I cant get anything here but i need to get some rest and get my head together before planning out my actions next. i need to acquire a regional map and traverse the easier way to get to Vildeva. staying in this town for any longer will only slow down my growth and make it harder for me later on.

This is not a game anymore. its all real now.

First off, i need some way to earn gold. yeah, the typical currency in a medieval RPG. the thing is, i probably wont have a chance of finding a job with my earthly ass clothing. theres just too much to risk wearing this and getting called a foreign invader by the people here.

Getting a job will be extremely difficult, as i have to prove to these NPCs that im capable for the workload. which is not true at ALL. my body is the farthest to survive manual labor from just sitting on my ass all day trying to beat this game. i need to find a way to steal a sword without being caught by the blacksmiths. I forgot to mention that brickstone, the town im currently standing in right now is the town that held a very specific smithy that held the craziest weapons that were common and uncommon.

Now, buying these swords in my situation is very unethical. i dont even have any gold to my name, let alone fame. there is only one thing left to do.

Theft. Look, i know this sounds bad but you need to understand something. im in a very desperate situation right now and i have no weapon to begin my level ups. i need to survive somehow and desperate times call for desperate measures, as they say.

Alright, theres that famous smithy right at the corner.

its gonna be simple. go in, steal sword, go out. easier said than done though, because the security is going to be well surrounded. i have no other choice. even a common rank weapon would do good as long as its quality is at the great or working rank.

now, i realise what i had missed to explain now. in this game even if a weapon is ranked legendary, epic, rare and mythic, it all comes down to the quality of the weapon. lets say that a legendary dagger exists but its quality is poor. you might as well just use a regular sword with the great quality at that point.

The Quality ranks go like this:-

-Cracked (lowest)

-Poor (low)

-Moderate (meh)

-Great (Good)

-Amazing (Really good)

-Excellent (Man, do i even need to say anything)

-Perfect (Yep, this is the highest)

with perfect being the highest quality of a weapon, i could be in a really good position right now. i just need to pray that my luck isnt 0 or anything. to be fair, anything above poor wont be so bad, since i just need a temporary weapon to slay monsters and sell their dropped loot to get some money anyway.

I stretched myself before hiding in the walls, which had the entrance on my left side of vision. the entrance was surprisingly empty on this particular day. usually, there are two guard stationed at each side of the entrance, preparing to thwart any intruders outside.

Why decide to be completely empty now?

There's something really fishy going on here, but i have no time to get to the bottom of it. this might be my only chance of getting in. im going in the entrance.

I slowly sneak inside of the smithy and hide behind a desk. as i was crouched, i could only see a small area of random desks that lined all the way to the end, which had a really large furnace for smelting the molten iron/steel.

I could see workers hammering on the molten metal to give unusual shape to it.

BANG, BANG, BANG!!

The sound of the hammer banging on the hot metal reverberating through the walls of the large warehouse. i could see the beads of sweat falling down their foreheads from focusing hard at work. this environment is perfect to walk around, as the noises here are so loud that i can easily sneak in and steal a random weapon and walk right out.

It could be very difficult to just walzt in and out with a random weapon, as the quality and rank of the weapon depends on the skill of a particular blacksmith. if they're a veteran, you can bet the sword is gonna be of a top-tier quality, but the rank is undetermined. ranks are random depending on how good the weapon is upon its usage.

keeping in mind all of this, i need to be very cautious in the weapon that i pick. a small mistake of picking up the wrong sword and my life ends right here, right now. that honestly sounds lame as fuck. Im not gonna be stupid (hopefully).

Alright, im just gonna keep movin' around like nothing's gonna happ-

"HEY! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING IN HERE?!"

Oh no. no. no. no.

I turned to look at several angry, buff men looking straight at me. their glares piercing me like an ice shard. I straight up just bolted towards the end of the warehouse without a second thought.

"DONT LET HIM LEAVE! AFTER HIM!!"

I turned back to see 5 to 6 men running behind me, but luckily due to their physique, they were slower and would take time to catch up to me. in that small amount of time, i need to find a sword lying around that i could pick up before they catch me.

I only need a few seconds, come on....
